This was definitely a heartwrenching scene. To me, it wasn't just Crosshair's guilt weighing on him for his past mistakes siding with the Empire, but also confronting the fact of Tech's death. We may not have seen Crosshair's reaction to the news, but I believe him bringing it up and his guilt for leading him down that path by sending the Plan 88 signal was eating him up inside up until this point. Though daring the clone wars, CF99 had a 100% success rate in completing their missions without casualties (except Wrecker's face from some point, but still).
