@@OZYMANDI4S Even if this is the case, Logan is still the one who bought these pigs, who live 15 - 18 years, and then rehomed them after only 1 - 2 years. At the very least, he's got a history of being an irresponsible pet owner.
They do, it's so weird. I keep seeing comments saying "so you didn't watch the video" in response to criticisms of Logan in various comment sections on this topic, and it's so strange. I *have* watched the full video, it doesn't absolve Logan or put him in the right, why do people keep saying that like it removes him from any responsibility? The guy's practically rich enough to buy a small town, if he really cared, he could have rehomed the pig to any respectable rescue center with a little research on his area, not dump him on a farmer he knew. (and that's the farmer's phrasing, too.)
the fact he bought two because Pearl was depressed should’ve been a give away that he should’ve (responsibly ofc) give Pearl to a farmer who WOULD be able to care for her for her entire lifespan (Think of your future AND the animals future. Would you be able to care for them after a while? Would you be able to keep them even?)
This isn't really true though. Some animals simply live better with a partner. Some animals are simply more social than others. Ferrets are an example of this. Also, many people are just busy, so they need to give the animal a partner to keep it entertained.
@@Lord_Poyo yeah, and hopefully he also knew that while getting Pearl. but I don’t think he was in the situation for getting two, and having one obviously made her depressed being all alone. Especially since he did end up not being in the situation to take care of both of them. Animals do be hard work and sometimes ppl jump to things a bit too fast.. and things end up changing the situation.. and he’s probably not the only one who’ve gotten a pig like Pearl without realizing that they’re quite much care and shouldn’t be alone
if Logan cares about this pig as much as he says he did, why would he not bother checking up on it? If he was in communication with the farmer he re-homed her too, then he would've known that this farmer moved Pearl to another location. Shouldn't he have checked on that location as well? I know he did live far but it wouldn't have been hard to do a bit of research and keep checking up on the pigs condition.
Why would he do that if he gave her away? You can still care for a pet you gave away but that doesn’t mean you’re going to constantly check up on them. At least that’s how it normally goes.

@@lowkey276 true, but even then, having enough money to do so doesn't automatically mean they must do so as a result of their being capable of doing so. what his having enough money to ensure good owners means isn't any more of a liability in doing the more morally correct thing, it just means he has less of a moral-related or morality-adjacent excuse to not do something like finding and ensuring a good owner for the pigs, especially if he had already claimed to care for the pigs in previous videos. i don't think the amount of money one has means they must perform their due diligences, as is with logan's case, meaning his case isn't different from anyone else's case, but his claims of caring for the pigs and his wealth do instead begin to morally conflict with the actions he may or may not have taken regarding the well-care of his pets.
@@lastnamefirstname8655 In truth I don't blame him at all because the case was probably taken care of by one of his employee or manager. So I blame them instead since what we've learned now about the pigs is very bad PR which should be accounted for even more than morals in the case of a business.
Makes no sense, if Logan gave this pig away why wouldn’t the farmer he gave it to just sell it for a decent chunk of money or send it to the butchers for more coin instead of just abandoning them. Farmers generally know how to look after animals as it’s their job.
You can 100% give your pet to someone thinking they are trustworthy just for them to be neglectful and abusive. People are manipulative and the worst abusers are the best at hiding it.
There is a reason animal shelters visit the persons house before selling an animal to them most shelters schedule to check up on the animal after you’ve had it for a bit to make sure it’s being taken care of. Obviously the person selling the animal is responsible for what conditions they sell it into.

Well new years eve police showed up looking for him. Sus. But they couldn't tell me why. Told them no didn't know anything.. new years day, I realized I heard scratching...the dude left his f*ckin dog In it's cage... That entire time!! 6 days in a tiny cage. I realized this call my landlord, happy to have heard the dog... My landlord texts back "sad" .. that's it.. I think this shows the difference between people who truly love and care for their pets and respect them as living beings, vs people who get them for the novelty and look at them as disposable
I think it’s possible that Logan hasn’t put together that Piggie Smalls might be the dead one, since the animal rescue doesn’t seem to be aware of Piggie Smalls or mention that name
I have to disagree with the statement about being responsibe for someone abandoning a pet you gave them. You cant really predict or control what someone will do, and sometimes people seem reliable when really they arent. If you know the persons not gonna take care of it, then yes you're responsible, but if you genuinely thought they would take care of it and they seemed like a good pet owner, then it shouldn't be your fault. Not only can people manipulate the way you see them, but can also change their mind at any second.
It almost seems like the person who had Pearl in their care before abandoning her most likely neglected her to the point where they thought she was dead, I’m betting the other pig was neglected as-well, (the actual dead one) and they were just dumping the carcasses. Really sad situation to see, just another animal a “celeb” used as a prop and threw them to the side like garbage when they couldn’t care for the pet anymore, or their attention span runs out.
If he didn’t mention the other pig I think it’s safe to assume that he knows what happened to the other one, whatever that may be. Whether it be dead, or with someone else, I think he knows otherwise he would have asked (unless he is the sociopath that he acts like)
It did say that she was found next to a dead pig in a field. We have no pictures of this dead pig, but I feel safe assuming it was the second one. No proof, he’s not gonna say anything about it. So goddamn sad. And don’t forget, during “Forrest” era of Logan Paul he confessed to having sociopathic tendencies. Plus the way he’s been handling the crypto zoo situation I’ve been hearing nothing from him but narcissism. He was only angry Coffeezilla talked about it, he wasn’t angry and didn’t grieve for a second about the fact that millions of dollars vanished out of his fan’s pocket overnight, at his own fault. I wish i could say it blows my mind that he still has a hardcore following.
The waiting list for a lot of these rescues are REALLY long. It's worst case scenario first. The farmer might have called a long time before, and just left it at that. By the time they came to just pick up some animals, a pick up became a full blown rescue.

ive been following the gentle barn for ages and it was wild when this cute farm of rescue animals i follow was suddenly involved in logan paul drama lmao
My family had taken in an abandoned pig had him for months. We went on vacation making sure someone would check in on him everyday. Then one day got a call that he broke out of his pen. And then weeks later our “neighbor” (, live in the middle of nowhere) stated that he saw a similar pig running in the field. Hasn’t been found sadly. But it. Could be a similar situation. Where the pigs ran off and where found by the farmers who called it in due to the sad conditions
Can I just point out how much I love Charlie’s bluntness towards viewers who make some of the most dreadful takes in the chat? I think it’s important to find a line between being transparent with no filter and folding for the fans by wearing a facade of kindness. He doesn’t know any of the viewers, so he’ll talk to them that way especially when he’s trying to actually discuss a messed up case such as this and be objective. Seriously, respect to him for shutting down some of those lunatics, even if he does tend to throw some ad hominem attacks here and there, it’s only fair he’s dumbfounded by how insane some of those messages are.
He does this all the time even with silly things like games, he'll shit talk chatters and end it with "clearly you've never played the game." He'll get so heated even when he's blatantly wrong sometimes lmao
My guess is the farmer that ended up with the pig was given a lucrative deal to take the pigs. Knowing they weren't worth it as meat or for breeding, they were neglected. Someone likely found out and called it in.
When I have given cats away, I've been incredibly selective about who they go to. If someone I gave a pet to ended up mistreating it to the point it died, I'd feel so guilty. If you can't keep an animal, you have a responsibility to make sure it goes to a good home. As much as I find the farmer story sketchy, if that is what happened then Logan is still at fault.
22:20 so I think the point chat is trying to make here is that you can vet the new owner, and it can still happen. Same way jobs better their employees, yet still have to fire some. Just cuz u vetted, doesn’t mean you can’t be wrong about a person. Only so much a background check can do.
ive been to one of gentle barn's locations a couple of times. it is genuinely a wonderful environment for rescused animals. this situation is awful. a miracle that the surviving pig made it to a safe place.
idk geographically what the farm looks like but someone could have drove by and just saw a dead pig and one living so they called it in, then the rancher called the rescue to try and get him back, still doesnt add up why it was in such bad health tho, if it had gotton attacked youd think gentle farms wouldve mentioned the other pig died due to scratches or bites yaknow something obvious, they didnt mention how she passed so that leads me to think they couldnt tell why she passed and then that muddies up the whole scenario, very weird very sketchy

How is any of this even on Logan? Is a f*cking influencers pig going to get more attention than the crap going on the world?
I'll admit there's a few ways it could genuinely not be Logan's fault but giving his history it makes sense to assume it was him. When a good person is accused of doing something you assume it can't be true, when you hear Logan's pig was found abandoned my first thought was "classic Logan". I know his fans like to say it's all haters but Logan worked hard to earn the terrible reputation he has lol
What’s so difficult to understand? Logan moved, dumped on some farmer, that farmer dumped it on another farmer. The OTHER farmer probably panicked after realizing a Multi- Millionaires pet pig was missing and called the Barn place on himself.
So him Pomeranian was eating by coyotes, his bird was eaten by his mastiff, he gave away two of his dogs. His pig was left in a field.... Come on how many incidents of abuse before someone arrests him or at minimum take his pets away!!!?? @moist charlie clips
You know, I didn't agree with Charlie's opinion on why someone else abandoning your animal is your fault but his reasoning is actually really solid. I get it now.
i like how Charlie is thorough and will research before heavily dishing out criticism. Then you have H3H3/Ethan just immediately saying "whoever" is a piece of shit without even attempting to research until later or just barely. Love em both but cmon Ethan..
If I’m talking about the right comment, I think they’re saying that if the pig was abandoned for 2 years, it would’ve dead by now. If that’s what they’re trying to say anyway.
The farmer could simply not have seen the pigs as anything more than a food source, regardless of their past as a pet and the promise to take care of them. So this farmer didn't care one bit what happened to them until he discovered one very sick and one dead, THEN called that foundation. If his story is true, this farmer happened to just be across from the trusted farmer and that was his only qualification.
Some of these chat people are mental. If you have a pet you care about it and you would care about where its going. If you don't care about a pet you should never have owned it.

@@cassiopiabean his mom gotta go first there’s something deeply disturbing about her
I watched the videos by Cid Swyer and he had figured out what happened to Pearl and Piggy Smalls.
Basically Logan moved and rehomed them to a ranch, the owner of that ranch said the pigs were basically dumped on him and he was doing the best he could but, in the transition of moving, the pigs escaped their pen and got lost. An other farmer was the one who found Pearl, who was alive, and Piggy Smalls, who was unfortunately dead due to being attacked by coyotes. The farmer kept Pearl for some time trying to find her a suitable home, and I assume during that time treated Pearl for a uterine infection, and eventually The Gentle Barn was called and they now have Pearl in their care.
@@Kxidence "The owner of the ranch said the pigs were basically dumped on him" sounds a lot like abandoning them to me.
@@jessbellis9510 the way that sentence was constructed feels like a cover up for the farmers neglect. Like, they really needed to specify that the pigs were “dumped on them”. I feel like Logan Paul was just unlucky to be involved in this mess. 😂
That makes more sense with moving to PR and not being able to take them, it'd make no sense for them to be in limbo for 2 years then magically reappear since I doubt someone would try and take care of a pig living so far away
Thanks for bigger picture, the clip didn't do much to explain the full situation and it's been eating at me 'cause this just felt super incomplete
@@OZYMANDI4S Even if this is the case, Logan is still the one who bought these pigs, who live 15 - 18 years, and then rehomed them after only 1 - 2 years.

He isn't abandoning pets! He's discarding props! The life if an avaricious man-child.

(and that's the farmer's phrasing, too.)
the fact he bought two because Pearl was depressed should’ve been a give away that he should’ve (responsibly ofc) give Pearl to a farmer who WOULD be able to care for her for her entire lifespan

The roast at the end from Charlie to the Logang member
There is a reason animal shelters visit the persons house before selling an animal to them most shelters schedule to check up on the animal after you’ve had it for a bit to make sure it’s being taken care of. Obviously the person selling the animal is responsible for what conditions they sell it into.
Wierd coincidence my next door neighbor in my apartment complex has a wife, young son & dog. Christmas day they had a big family get together & all was good. Then I hadn't heard from them at all since. Normally it's impossible not to hear them, so after 5 days things seemed weird..assumed they went on vacation... My landlord texts back "sad" .. that's it..
It's now the 10th of January.. they just today kicked the door in & found the dog in there. My landlord lied & said he was going to handle it. Didn't. Left the dog to rot. So f*cked up.
Anyways nobody has heard anything about the family & where they are. However we did find out the man who's name was on the lease was not a real name. The guy weirdly enough however paid for the month of January in rent before doing so & left?
But anyways that guy deserves to be beaten to a pulp.. Logan Paul. Enough kicking a guy when he's down dude. He didn't do this sh*t leave em br
How did the neighbor react?
I think this shows the difference between people who truly love and care for their pets and respect them as living beings, vs people who get them for the novelty and look at them as disposable
You're awesome for listening to your audience and trying different editing based on it Charlie. Keep on going my dude.
I think it’s possible that Logan hasn’t put together that Piggie Smalls might be the dead one, since the animal rescue doesn’t seem to be aware of Piggie Smalls or mention that name
Charlie is always arguing with someone in chat lmao
It’s just a prolonged lapse in judgment. Don’t worry. What a🤡
Reminds me of the scene in the movie Year One: “What have I continued to do?😩”
The Gentle Barn is amazing. They have a location near where I live as well. They do so much for animals who would otherwise be left to die
Sadly the other pig was found dead with Pearl before they could find him. Pigs form strong relationships and I hope Pearl can heal from it.
The waiting list for a lot of these rescues are REALLY long. It's worst case scenario first. The farmer might have called a long time before, and just left it at that. By the time they came to just pick up some animals, a pick up became a full blown rescue.

Giving away a pet not being sure they're gonna be taken care of is no different from straight up dumping them out the road
I love how Charlie can get so bluntly insulted by someone and just laugh it off.
My guess is the farmer that ended up with the pig was given a lucrative deal to take the pigs. Knowing they weren't worth it as meat or for breeding, they were neglected. Someone likely found out and called it in.
If Logan actually cared about the pig he wouldn't have sold it in the first place, he would have found a way to bring it with him.
“You can’t perpetually abandon your pets” Paris Hilton: 👀
When I have given cats away, I've been incredibly selective about who they go to. If someone I gave a pet to ended up mistreating it to the point it died, I'd feel so guilty. If you can't keep an animal, you have a responsibility to make sure it goes to a good home. As much as I find the farmer story sketchy, if that is what happened then Logan is still at fault.

idk geographically what the farm looks like but someone could have drove by and just saw a dead pig and one living so they called it in, then the rancher called the rescue to try and get him back, still doesnt add up why it was in such bad health tho, if it had gotton attacked youd think gentle farms wouldve mentioned the other pig died due to scratches or bites yaknow something obvious, they didnt mention how she passed so that leads me to think they couldnt tell why she passed and then that muddies up the whole scenario, very weird very sketchy

Logan Paul has enough money to buy a place where he could keep pearl, and enough to bring her with no matter the distance, he's full of it.
Some of these chat people are mental. If you have a pet you care about it and you would care about where its going. If you don't care about a pet you should never have owned it.
It seems he didn’t even want to get another pig, since he said the reason he got it was because pearl was depressed, and lonely. So I bet if pearl wasn’t depressed and lonely, he wouldn’t have gotten another pig.
