- Howdy Folks and welcome, I hope this finds you well. Today I'm sad because I've supported Tarkov since 2017, it has been there during hard points and I've had some of the best gaming times in my life playing this game for over thousands of hours. It's with that sentiment that I'm sorry to say that Tarkov is dead, at least the vision of it from when the first EOD adopters like myself bought in. What do you think?

Tarkov will technically never die. He will never die as long as SPT exists. The reputation of Battlestate games and Nikita is dead here, which is even worse.
I believe that tarkov should have two forms of play. One where editions are effective and the other where they are not.
To be able to access it's done through dlc, that implies, those who have eod can enter at once in a game where no one is king or pawn by right.
If you don't have eod, the price it's the difference between the value of your edition and the eod.
The idea is that you can play both modes together when you want, you get bored of one, you go to the other, you get bored of that one, you go to the other when you feel like it. By this way the promised by the editions it's preserved and p2w is eliminated/preserved at the same time, the two could exist without eliminating each other and everyone would be able to play where they want at any time forever. So they can make money and everything they want. Everyone would be happy and free.
A game that became famous for PVP killed himself because of PVE/co-op :)

I feel like the rug has finally been pulled, at least for EOD holders; plus I really don't have confidence now the game will ever get to the point of "open world" or in game quest givers and encounters. @@Dog.Dad.Studios Ive played both, Live Tarkov and SPT. I got to say that Ive found SPT much better for me, and would love to play it with my friends. Ive always think PVE/co-op mode should be in the base game not just EOD or TUE, but all game versions. Tbh im not worried about the future of EFT because like you sayd it died long ago. Im worried about GZW, IRR and BAI, because they will never be EFT, they maybe be better or worst. Just hope they bring good things for the genre.

I’m hoping for something positive to come out of all of this for the general gaming community, but for now, SP is the way to go. I’d also love to play with friends, I know a couple that would instantly play a co op PvE mode, plus mods. Hope this finds you well!

Even more ironic is that Nikita never intended for it to be pvp focused. He always saw it as pve/co-op with the possibility of friendly fire.

I did the written out step by step tutorial and had no trouble. Coming from nexus mods, it was a breeze. The automated didn’t work. It’s so worth it I cannot explain it over text; just that I’m having fun playing tarkov again

Can you play SPT with friends but normally ? i mean yes you can i saw some stuff on yt that people play spt having fun normally not problem no laggs no desync, but my friends told me that SPT Coop with friends is buggy and bunch of Desync and laggs , is there any fix or is that their problem from just hosting server or can we somehow rent that server to play ? any clues ?
The performance of the MPT mod for SPT is going to be based solely on two things: How powerful the host box is, and how many players are using the server. Remember this key bit of information: a computer that is powerful for gaming is _not_ necessarily going to be powerful for server hosting. Hosting a server for _any_ multiplayer game requires a lot more power than what even most high end PC gamers have, hence why dedicated server boxes (which are expensive, though can often be rented via 3rd parties for many PC games like DayZ and ArmA) are optimal.
Is it possible to run the server off of another computer locally? So fascinating! I only play solo

@@Dog.Dad.Studios I don't see how it shouldn't be possible. With that said, I would highly recommend hopping on the MPT discord and talking with either the devs or at least the many people who are familiar with hosting servers. The people there are very friendly and helpful.

It’s bonkers. Imagine being a base game owner, having to pay $250 to play the same game you already have,only in single player. Even if it was an entirely new set of maps and missions it would still be ridiculous, but it’s not. It’s the SAME GAME with some P2W assets and separate mode. $250. Unhinged
I know companies will do anything to get more money (former UNITY ceo ) for example but this is just insulting , i dont play it but it was def on my list , looks unique
If you can get the files, and I don't advocate for illegal practices, its worth it if you like intense shooters. I think SP would be a great jumping off point because you can manage almost every aspect with a mod server manager that lets you mess around without being fearful, and you learn the game.

It won't die. 85% of player base will be back latest on next wipe. Because there is no good alternative. And in addition to that, there will be lots of new players.

Nah, only few % of playerbase will stop playing. Which is good, too many whiners in the community anyway.
Some people just are soooo dramatic and makes things bigger then they are.
When this game got popular on twitch and the masses came to play is when it was ruined. About 2 years ago. People putting their opinions about the game when they just came from call of duty and have 5 hours in game.
Their reputation is tarnished and my respect for them as a company is no more. I will probably come back to Tarkov eventually, but they are definitely not getting anymore of my money.
tarkov was always a lie... connected maps in open world was always known not going to happen... this was a lie from the start and everyone knew... the sad part is that it would still be a masterpiece if it wasn't taken by cheaters, which technically is something you cannot avoid anymore... online games have been taken by these scumbags and theres nothing any dev can do... cheating in online games is here to stay, get used to it... but scumbag devs, that we can avoid.

Yeah the cheating itself was horrid, and makes the need for PvE more important, plus there are games that can support macro anti cheat, at least better than tarkov, so I’m hopeful for the future ( with different games and developers)

I agree with you completely and baffled why they haven’t. Maybe that will be their “save.”
They are usually vague about their actions. It would be a win for everyone if they did plus co op; sadly others have had to take to other methods for that experience, especially for the price tag.

@@Dog.Dad.Studios They had a golden goose. I am not a huge fan of realistic pvp, unless it's a milsim game where you can just respawn without loosing everything.
I've heard the game is also full of cheaters. Some of my friends would buy a solo/coop pve Tarkov, but 250€ is just crazy. It's the price of a Switch or half the price of a ps5.
I know most people don't like pve, and to pay 250€ you have to be an hardcore Tarkov player, if so then why would you play against bots ?
An offer for 30-40€ with just the pve expérience could sale thousands of units.

Regardless of the results I'm not gonna stop playing it, there is no game like it after all, its still one of my favorite games.
That said, I wont give them another cent unless they somehow fix this shitshow of a reversed PR stunt.
Funny thing is that I would have upgraded if it was the price it is now and didnt include the gamemode and P2W nonsence. I think the game is going in a good direction and most people seem to agree. But in the end stupid shit like what they did now definetly spoiled the mood.

I got Tarkov last wipe and while it frustrated me, I loved it. I then got EOD before it went away, and I loved this wipe up until…. now. I deleted Tarkov yesterday. Not because I hate the game, but I don’t trust the company and don’t want to continue supporting them by providing to their player base, or being tempted to get new content. Further, I can’t trust them at this point. Everything else was excusable. Not having great spawns or some weird mechanics could be written off as just the result of the game being in beta. That’s fine. They’re an insanely small team. But going off and wasting millions on Arena, locking PVE behind a 95 dollar edition of the game (if you have EOD already), and then putting in a stupid radio just made me laugh. I didn’t even get mad, I laughed my ass off the whole day because it’s PATHETIC what they did. I fully don’t trust BSG now, I think they’re struggling financially, and will do whatever it takes to milk the player base to save themselves, while pretending they’re giving you a good deal.
Overall, if BSG really wanted to make money, they’d release PVE with the standard edition which would attract the mil sim fans who are not keen on PVE to get the game. It’d be like STALKER, but with different mechanics
Battlestate needs to apologize to the community for false promises. Remove the Unheard from Tarkov and refund the players who brought the bundle.EOD should have free access to future DLC and Co-op, as Battlestate promised.

im not nearly as upset as an EOD owner about the rip off a deception. i would have been happy to support the product even for the price of a used ps4...... what caused me to delete the came was the giant leap towards pay to win. you invest your most valuable asset into this game .... TIME. and to have my time stomped on by some one who has a paid for advantage.... nope. im done.

I think War Gaming owns it LOL The game as it was is dead, now is just about making as much money as they can. New player base is happy paying hundreds of dollars for copycats of ships LOL Scammers know that there will be always people eager to pay!

I bought the regular version of the game on 2017, i spent around 3000 hours playing that version, i upgraded in 2020 to EOD, to date i have around 12,000 hours in this game. i loved the dream that tarkov could be, i got used to the long loading times, the bugs, the exfil campers, and finally the cheaters that were the worst thing of the game, i believed thay BSG would handle it all, while delivering what they promised to us "true believers". I wanted everything Tarkov had to offered, but changing the wording and terms of released content to fit your narrative to get more cash. I cant stand behind that, i won't be giving this company any more of my money or time.
