there is mmf starting for as little as 100 or 1000
Mmf are as low as 1k and 5k,...bonds and treasury bills are the ones from 50k to 100k

I went to my local bank and asked about an mmf an they looked at me like am speaking in a foreign language it's safe to assume I didn't get it. It's like they didn't know what I was saying
You don't need to go to your bank for MMF. Directly register with Mmf service providers eg Erica, Nabo, Zimele, etc, etc and start investing. Simple and easy. Some have apps some you go to their website.
They will take you in circles ....just use the apps
They mostly hide the information

These unit trusts ask for details like I'd number, phone, date of birth ATM photo both sides plus KRA cert, photocopy this is suspicious

It is not, those are KYC (know your customer) requirements that all financial institutions are mandated to ask for before they open any accounts for you. Commercial and investment banks ask for the same things before you open any accounts, the CDSC and CBK also ask for them before they can open CDSC / CDS accounts for you. If you are not comfortable submitting them online, visit a branch with the documents so they can take copies for their records.
