Just wondering, doesn't the super brittle decamoing phayze make the ninja paragon do less damage because it's no longer camo?
that forward dash is insane, rlly obligates you to think about where to place your towers cuz depending on where you place them by the 3rd skull the boss will be outside their range
Even though it is percent based this is something people aren't thinking about most skips on this map stay in the same spot so it's not an issue
@@michaelkaram467 yeah 8% doesnt sound like alot but then you multiply by each skull and add in his speed boost while the shield is active and phayze becomes a speed demon
and if u put ur towers far away , then u struggle breaking the first few skulls so full map range is really good for phayze (helps that ninja paragon has the full map sticky too )
Had to attempt Elite several times because of my tier 3 paragon placement.
@@michaelkaram467 Not if you're trying to get a decent ranked time. I had to repeatedly sell and rebuy Sticky Bomb, AoW, and Brittle
Tip for elite phayze: dark champion is fantastic for tier 2. It has camo detection, great moab/boss damage, costs less than a MAD, can teleport anywhere to follow phayze around, and it fully deals with the blooms coming through the portals because of its ricochet effect.

By tier 2 elite you should be able to afford a mad, and it's still better than dark champion. And dark champion is almost identical in price, both are around 60,000 I'm pretty sure
But is it better than the MAD ability?
Only if you can't afford a MAD, it is far worse. But affording one is pretty easy anyways.

I did some tests to see whether the miniopolis was still the best farming option: If you don't utilise the monkey town bonus, it's only better by a marginal amount. If you do make use of monkey town, it's way better than any alternatives.
The best way to save up is how ISAB did it, or if you have monkey knowledge, a bank will get you enough by round 32-33. With Ben it can be even earlier. And always remember to get your bloon trap down in range as soon as possible afterwards. A bloon trap combined with monkey town from round 30-60 will make you more money than a BRF in that time, for 1/5 of the cost.
Good bank fills on r30, with Ben r29, and ISAB also made a mistake, you need to triple discount the monkey town and sell them for opolis, and buy a flavored trades, even if you don't sell as much.
I got bank around r22 and miniopolis r 29 then market place spam
Then I got a master bomber for t1 without selling the opolis still goated in my opinion

@@The_quiet_kkd Yeah, I was saying round 33 as a generalisation, as with different maps/modifiers you might need to spend more on defence and slow down the farming. Master bomber by round 40 is crazy

I haven't done a boss in like 7 months and I managed to first try elite with a ace, buccaneer and ninja paragon. This boss is a lot of fun with how it changes up usual strategies by flying through the map and having camo.
This was my second Elite ever, and I can say I did NOT do it first try, but I used no retries on my final run.
I beat elite on ranked in 2 person coop with just a degree 43 ace paragon and nothing else lmao

@@knightmare6619 yea it's what I used on my run, I think it went till round 20? I was able to get a 2-0-0 farm and then a 0-1-3 engi without losing many lives at all

-is camo
-can disable camo given by other towers
-has 40m ehp with its 5 shields (of which 60% of its hp is shield)
-can move up to 70% faster with its shield up
-has 60% more ehp with the attack cooldown increase
-can skip 40% of the track
I love the challenge but that sure is a lot of things to take into account
An tip if some get confused, when phayse does the camo vision removal, it only affects those who have camo by another tower like monkey village or etienne if the tower has an upgrade or it has natural like spike factory or ninja then they dont get nullified.
Fun fact you can with a degree 30 wizard paragon destroy one skull at a time if you use dead blood ressuraction at max grave yard you can one shot a skul and even more

7:27 completely agree. it’s more akin to a hp buff at that point and it doesn’t encourage different strategies as they all will be affected the exact same way. personally i’d like it if phayze had an aura around it that REMOVED the attack speed debuff (and then monkeys can go back to being slow after leaving phayzes aura) so that there can be more variety in tower choice and placement

Beat the non elite before I went to work, hope I can do the elite one when I get home tonight. That dash forward SUCKS, makes waiting for later rounds to save money a bigger risk
It does indeed suck, but if there was no dash forward, I'm pretty sure the boss would be too easy even on other maps.
Every elite boss is easy to beat it just takes a bit because of the farming, once you know how to farm the rest is easy but here is what I used for each tier
Tier 1 - Elite defender sniper
Tier 2 - M.A.D dartling gunner
Tier 3 - dart monkey paragon with the glitch where u get a lvl 30 paragon with the dart monkey with no sacrifices needed
Tier 4 - I used ace paragon but you could use a lvl 30 boomerang paragon
Tier - 5 I got ace,ninja,boat and boomerang paragon all lvl 30 except boat
@@ulisesorozco7904True. I used double sticky bomb for tier 1 and wizard para for tier 4 (I wanted to test the mana changes this update against a boss) but otherwise pretty much the same strategy
Thanks for the tutorial lmao, I was barely able to follow along because you'd just pop in with towers and cross-paths I had to guess, and I have no idea why you got overclockers early on so I assumed it was for the farms so I used them for that. it was still More than enough to beat normal Phayze even if I was behind pretty much the whole video.
I know it wasn't an actual tutorial, you joked about it so I decided to treat it as such so I can't expect too much.
I think they should rework the slowdown so that towers dropped partway through the boss only receive the last couple slows, and EITHER
-The slowdown is permanent, so you have to rebuy your defence between tiers OR
-The slowdown is increased a lot but it wears off round by round, so if you kill all the tiers within just a few rounds then all the slows stack at once and cripple your towers, which would make ranked much more interesting
The first one isn't ideal, makes old towers unusable, and you can no longer even keep a tower between tiers, like paragons between 4 and 5, or pop grinders.
The second one is actually great, makes the boss is easy if you take it slow, and on ranked you are at a point on wich you just sell everything after killing the boss, but you can still keep those towers you need around.
@@genio2509 do either of you play ranked? because ranked uses abilities, and abilities cheezes phayze. That speed ain't gonna do nothin about first strike spam or spike storm spam.
I mean they already have counterplay by not affecting abilities, so I think they won't really nerf that part.

Now i can safely say this one is my favorite boss,since it's the first one that i actually managed to beat the tier 5 elite
This tier 5 elite is arguably harder than all the other ones lmao
The other bosses were alr stablished, thats why nk uses harder maps for those, since this one is new they used an ez map with no restrictions, i can assure you it wont be easy next time

@@JS_360NCnope this is way weaker than launch lych because of the glitch it had where the soul was affected by Freeplay ramping and had 2.4x health and speed on tier 5 my friends and I in a 3 player game had 3 decent degree paragons and a vengeful temple and couldn't kill it

The new boss bloon being on an easy map and no restrictions is not an accident. It’s just good game design. No one knows the strengths or weaknesses of the new boss so they want it to be easy to beat until you learn it. So it’s always going to be an easy map and all towers at first so that everyone can beat it.

Decamoing Phayze can actually reduce the damage output of the ninja paragon, so using a super brittle with it as your main damage dealer can reduce your damage output overall
I haven't beaten a single elite boss yet just too hard for my monkey brain
Feel like you missed out of the easier entry for beating elite bosses for first time with miniopolis nerf this update. Check out the elite boss guide by punji or felix. It will get easier once you have done couple times

Just learn the efficient ways to farm money, the rest is just knowing which support and paragon towers to use, which is relatively simpler compared to CHIMPS
The fact that they allowed Geraldo, Benjamin, and Wizard paragon made it easier for me to win as compared to things like Dreadballoon( which i suffered a lot due to the rock balloons that seems even more unkillable than the boss ). But once Benjamin and Geraldo are banned it would be more difficult tbh
Well this is just the first week of this new boss. They will restrict things that make the boss too easy next week i suppose like Moab Elim and Permaspike.
@@kidsIIIII009Moab Elim i dont think people use it on any boss and in this one i think its its worst your ability vomes up every 4 to 6 seconds and phayse stays camo for 12 seconds youre missing out hslf your ability dmg plus its really expensive for tier 1 aka the only place its KINDA viable
Perma spike got readded to the game so it may not suck after those nerfs
Funnily enough if you think about it the attack speed cooldown phayze gives only makes the ace paragon stronger, as i cant imagine the bombing run ability is effected by the attack speed cooldown. It also probably doesnt effect the ninja paragon much either as the sticky bomb probably still gets reapplied quick enough where you dont notice the attack speed cooldown.

The dash + relocation of the bloon spawn is a real killer. I found that glaive lord is best for the small Bloons, but the Moabs are always behind the boss.
Yo ISAB, i found this really interesting challenge on the new ice map, you should try to beat Vortex on that map, since the boss comes from the 1st path and the bloons come from the current normal path at very fast speeds. Idk, just thought it would be fun to some extent

Man, this one was tough, I got dart + ninja + boomer + wizard paragons at 29-33 and later sold my Apex to get a higher degree, still almost lost. I think with how much the boss moves, a good strategy would be to keep farming after you take down the shield, then sell your paragon mid boss and move it and try to get a higher degree. Once you get a paragon the natural spawns arent so bad but before then I kept leaking to fortified Moab classes spawning on the last lap. a 520 village next to a 520 tack in the first loop really helped clean that up, but the whole time I was super scared about the boss. If you find yourself falling behind and have something like the MAD, the boss does move slower without it's shield, and you wont have to deal with the further spawning bloons. All I can say after this is good luck, I filled nearly the entire map with BRFS by tier 4 and had to sell them to afford paragon sacrifices, even with an ultraboosted 45k monkeyopolis

I was thinking about how good the VTSG would be against vortex then I realized that you don't pretty much have global range with Phayze as you practically need the camo upgrade and the lack of extra range could be a factor on some maps

They DID give us the "Um, good luck guys" disclaimer during the update video, I certainly appreciate how difficult this boss is, makes them all the cooler! SO hype.
I wonder if they'll add a workaround for the decreased attack speed thing or if abilities ARE that work-around? Moab Elim, First Strike Spam, maybe CoS? Not to mention the Goliath Doomship's ability, obvious from the occurence in this video.

The Dart Monkey Paragon is actually really good if u place it central. I played Elite with a friend and there it did about 20mil pops which is just a little short compared to the Ace Paragon
In my own testing the wizard paragon is pretty solid option. Wouldn't say it's good to get over a boat or ace paragon.
Plus arcane spike can do some good work on tier 1. Idk if it's optimal to do.
Just beat normal phayse earlier today as my first boss, here's hoping I can beat elite phayse with ur tips
Global monkeys like Sniper, Heli, Ace, Dartlings, Mortars, and to a lesser extent, Subs and Buccaneers are gonna be the most helpful against Phayze, since they don't care about his dashes forward. Not to mention, the only real way against the global attack speed slow is just more buffs to attack speed like Jungle Drums, Overclock, Ultraboost, Permabrew, Homeland Defense, and even support Temples, since enough of those buffs can more than make up the loss of attack speed Phayze imposes.
If I did my math correctly, that T5 final skull attack speed reduction is about 55%.
8:02 I mean technically abilities counter the attack speed lost so first strike, elim, and ace paragon would probably do well (although nonparagon abilities kinda suck)
boat paragon *shreds*. For tier 5 I just did the time trued strategy of vtsg 3 paragons and pray, and it somehow worked

My friends and i finished it today. Pretty respectable times
7 minutes and 16 minutes. Definitely a fun boss. Ben is probably optimal but i personally found that sauda is a lot easier because you just place her down and forget about defense bc you have the trap up before sauda struggles. And late game they both might as well not exist.
btw, on the first Phayze video you said the camo icon represented the reality shield, but I'm pretty sure that's not right, the camo icon does actually signify camo. injury Phayze seems to have immunity to camo-stripping while In the reality shield.
ie
as soon as the shield dropped, the shattering shells decamoed, and you correlated the camo icon with the shield
as you can see the camo icon doesn't drop in your first tier since you have no decamo, even though Phayze's shield is down
As soon as the radar jam effect goes off (24s) phayze is immune to camo stripping for 12s. That’s probably what that indicates, then
@@Barely_Edited the icon still represents the xamo itself though, if it represented the camo stripping immunity from radar Jan the icon would alternate on and off at a constant speed, of which it doesn't do on tiers 1 and 2 where he has no decamo towers
I beat the elite a few hours before this. Was quite the pain. Got it on my second try tho.
I like the design of phyaze, its like that ddt skin but more glitchy and i wish the music got more bugged because after time its just onslaught
I think it'd be less insane to do phayze on harder maps if paragons didnt accept debuffs like they dont accept most buffs, but that'd really push the reliance on paragons so idk, hard bosses aren't a bad thing, but idk if they intended for it to be so much more than the others

That's exactly how my elite run went on round 119 and I had a ton of cash and stuff.. just not my big paragons up yet. I couldn't believe it. I mean almost EXACTLY like yours. It's a little tough in my opinion.
For t5 i did degree 62 ace, degree 69 ninja, degree 45 boat, degree 39 wizard and a VTSG + support
Maybe it would be fun, if putting tower targeting on a specific targeting reducing the attack speed. Like if close targeted towers would attack normally. That would make some intense micro if you wanted to mqximise towers

I would actually try for Navarch just for the buff on G. Doomship, plus global range via mini-planes than Master Builder imo.
I really like the design of this boss but it's so brutal. The jump is killer.
I think they should either tone down the attack speed debuff or add some counterplay. Maybe only have the debuff up when the shields active? Idk but its current state isnt that fun
I figured now was the best time to try elite Phayze due to it being on one of the easiest maps in the game and there being no restrictions on towers, heroes, or upgrades. Seeing how both my run and ISAB's run went, I think I made the right decision.

I’m honestly so surprised the engi paragon hasn’t gotten any buffs yet. It has basically nothing for it that other paragons don’t do better.
It can one tap tier 5 bosses tho

You just slap down the boat, ace, or ninja against any boss and it solos up to tier 4, or like tier 3 on elite

I was able to beat Elite Phayze by using a degree 20 boomerang and dart paragon, a maxed-out VTSG buffed with Homeland Defense, Ultraboost, and Permabrew, and then basically just spammed as many T5s as I could possibly get. I didn't have the Ace paragon yet but I didn't want to farm XP for it so I decided that I would just hope for the best, and it worked, luckily.

Tiers 1 and 2 were the hardest for me, because of lack of money on tier 2, i wasnt able to buy a mad as it came in and tier 1 took a long time becuse of the dash forward
imo it would be cool if de-camo attacks like x2x ninja, xx5 mortar or 5xx sub actually did extra damage to the shield... like maybe even 10x
and if the boss has 66m effective health and skips 40% of the track... if it had bloonarius speed, you would have to deal with a 100m elite bloonarius, the only saving grace is the fact that it's like the slowest boss when the shield is down

Me and some friends did a scuffed coop where we barely got like a 30 degree ascended shadow and apex plasma master mid t5 as a last ditch attempt when it was like a third across the track and we somehow killed it… ascended shadow buffs r kinda busted 😂
I must be playing this game wrong, because 1rst time dreadbloon was WAY harder to beat than phayze, especially because of the rock bloons. Its kind of a shock for me to see isab saying that phayze is actually hard, when ive beaten it first time
I do get your concerns w the Global atk speed decrease but the isnt the counterplay smth like
Use alch jungle drums perhaps even a tier 4 middle path village for the 1st to maybe 3rd tier and then a combo paragon like Boomer and Dart Or

Sauda carried me til 40 basically just solo in that square spot, and for paragons i put them in as to the middle as possible, so it can see basically the whole map

You need 25 tier 2 tower sacrifices (crosspathed)to ensure a degree 20 paragon. assuming you have no pops farmed. This is the most cost efficient sacrifice.
i think making an underused tower either cleanse enemy debuffs, or making certain underused towers immune to enemy debuffs could be cool
You said theres no counterplay to the attack speed debuff, but there is. You'd just focus more on paragons with offensive abilities like ace. Of course it'll get easier as we get more paragons with abilities, I imagine sub might have one, but we'll have to see.
Me and my friend beat the tier 5 elite boss when it was like 10 pixels away from exiting
I beat elite phayse before this video came out and thought it was one of the easier bosses, it’s kinda funny how bad I am at assessing what’s hard or not hard lol
I loved the part where he said: its phayzing time and phayzed all over the place
I found the middle path sub t5 is insane backseat it's does a lot of damage for a very long time

wish phayze was a lil longer and a more slick desgin compared to the other bosses to make they design a bit more intresting and diferent then just looking like 2 DDT's stuck togheter, tho i do like the look of later tiers on elite phayze

it's pretty funny, on elite i beat the first 4 tiers for my 1st try, and for the second time my tier 38 ninja and tier 32 dart paragons were not enough to beat it. it was close but i need to do even more i guess
I used all the basic supports a tier 35 ninja 30 dart 49 ace and 27 engi and a VTSG, i think ninja because of camo for tier 4 and a high degree ace for tier 5 might be the meta.

I wonder if it'll be possible to beat Elite Phayze if it had 8 skulls (regular elite boss HP standard) instead of 5, making it so that players only have 36% of usable track to work with rather than 60%.
Wouldn’t it be best to use high damage attacks? Ninja Bomber, Moab Mauler, First strike, etc?
