I get why AMEX is doing this.. This gets AMEX into a market where AMEX wouldn't issue cards too them directly because of credit scores but allows these new potential customers to see the benefits of AMEX when they reach that target score. Amex is also making sure it doesn't give them so many AMEX benefits that it makes actually holding an actual AMEX card useless.
i had this card for about 9 months. they increased my limit twice. I love the 2 percent cashback. They update the rewards within 24 hours from last purchase. No problems. I did hear bad reviews about this bank but so far so good. I used it all the time.
Who did they pull from?
I got excited for 2 secondsđ© Amex needs their own 2% card
If you're comfortable applying for a business card as a sole proprietor, the blue business plus is 2x MR points for the first 50k each year, and blue business cash is 2% back for the first 50k.
Same
So does Chase
@@curmudgeonextraordinaire1884 I feel like they're counting on people valuing their points above 1 cpp, which is why they aren't rushing to release one.
I just got a one with a bonus! $200 bonus if you spend $1000 within 3 months, not bad!
I just got the same offer!
This card is better than AmEx's own Cash Magnet card... really shows how noncompetitive they are in the no-AF credit card space
They really need to have a normal version of the blue business whatever that gets 2 points per dollar on everythingâŠwhich Ig this kinda is
Amex needs a Citi custom cash card that earns mr points.
@@Spencerwalker21 that would be dope too
They just need to have no-AF cards that earn MR points. Other trifectas cost $95-$550, the Amex trifecta costs what, $900+? Itâs not competitive or interchangeable
@@EthanCowlbeck I believe the Amex Everyday is what you're looking for
I just saw this card ⊠so happy youâre the first to review it
Am I the only one that finds it a little funny that the name on the card is B. Read?
Amex needs better no af cards
Agreed. Worth repeating; "Amex needs better no af cards".
Have you asked for a retention offer? Would not say go and cancel but ask if any offers to use the card more.
The plaid shirt really giving off a wonderful Dad vibe đ
I was thinking more "Sexiest Man Alive" vibe, but i will resign myself to the fact that your take is more accurate. đ

Received a pre-approval offer in the mail last week, found your vid and then I applied. Got approved with a 5,000 CL and an APR of 29.24%. Iâve got some credit challenges dating back to 2019, so Iâll take it. I havenât carried a balance on a CC in over three years and Iâll probably use this card for monthly subscriptions and membership charges. Youâve earned a new subscriber. Thanks!!!
Any time I get an offer, I come to him. He is very credible and he offers sound advice. I received and offer as well, I want to hold off on applying though. Amex always catches my attention. I will definitely do it after the new year.
It's great that you subscribed, you wont be disappointed
@@6ftgentle863 Thank you! Iâve been going through some of his âolderâ vids since Iâve subscribed and he gives great info.
2nd comment...just want to thank you for this and several other videos you've done. The presentations are always down to earth and very sensible compared to other high-volume hosts on this platform.
Not all videos will apply to everyone all the time, but usually good stuff...!!!
Thanks!
Hey Adam, you look sharp. keep up the great videos.
Ha, I appreciate that đ
Got pre approval in the mail. This video and comments have me way more confident about accepting the offer.
I received a pre approval letter in the mail yesterday. I decided to apply for it and was approved for $10,000 with a 746 credit score from Experian. That is the bureau they pulled from in my case.
Man, I have 10 Experian inquiries and 2 for the other two. Everyone seems to use my Experian. :(
@@JimGray65 I had 7 inquiries.
Outside of no foreign transaction fee this card seems redundant. Great content as always, thanks Adam!!!
Another great video proud đ°
Thanks!
I received a pre approval June 7, I applied June 10th & was approved for $3000, they said it can take 10-14 days to receive the card, I have the PayPal 2% cashback MasterCard, last year July Synchrony started charging foreign transaction fees & they only allow me to redeem my rewards to my statement balance, I applied for the card because I want another card to use outside the US & when I redeem my rewards I now have the option to deposit the money in my bank account đ
Thanks for reviewing. You are the first I've seen that did so.
The card seems to be doable...but Comenity has a certain stink to it...so I shall opt to continue with Wells Fargo active cash.
Not sure if you were trying to be funny but I laughed out loud at the irony of âComenity has a certain stink to it âŠ.so I shall opt to stay with Wells Fargoâ âŠâŠ.. thatâs funny đ
Actually...both in a bit of realistic humor :)
Correction: the last time it was cool to refer to money as "bread" was the 1960s, not 50s.
The Beach Boys "I get around"
.... from town to town,
I'm a real cool head,
I'm making real good bread....
I stand corrected đ
I need some bread literally and figuratively.
Looking for a 2% card having:
1) Virtual numbers
2) No FT fee
Citi has only 1) , SoFi - only 2)
Thatâs why Capital One Quick Silver 1.5% cashback is the best option for me.
0.5% diff is only 50 cents from every $100 spent. If itâs just a non-primary catch-all card used in combination with a bunch of other cards then itâs good enough and a 2% cashback card is not really needed.
Unfortunately why I use my quicksilver to this day. No issues with it customer service on point and the overall web portal and ease of use make it a much better card than others 2% cash cards. But the PayPal with its 3% now is a decent competitor I just wish it had a better portal for viewing trans etc
Exactly. I have a 2% cashback card but I only use my quicksilver on certain sites because itâs the only one with a virtual card number.
Thats good to know. I had no idea the cap1 QS offered virtual cards
Great informational channel. Maybe someone may be able to help with a question.I do have on American Express Lowes card under one business and i was wandering if will be a hard pull if i apply for Amex blue cash business under a different business.
I got a pre approval offer in the mail for the bread card so I went to the pre approval page put in the code. Then It said I was approved with credit limit of $5000 my card will arrive in 10-14 days my score currently is 706 . The only American Express card I currently have is American Express Platinum.
Paypal used to allow people to choose a credit cards bank to convert from foreign currencies to USD when you purchased something from a foreign country but a few months ago I noticed that now they force you to use Paypal's foreign conversion rates which are always worse than the foreign conversion rates on Google (Paypal skims some money in the conversion) ... so being able to charge Paypal 2% for trying to be sneaky and not getting charged a foreign transaction fee is nice.
The 2% is also nice in places that are normally classified as business services like when I take my truck to get some parts installed on it or just general shops that would normally be classified as "everywhere else" for credit cards and be given the lowest cash back amount.
Heads Up. PenFed also gives anybody 2% and you don't have 2 B in Miliary or government. No foreign transaction fees and all their cards are a straight 17.99% period. 100% of your Credit limit is available for 4 cash withdrawals @ 17.99%.
To get that 2% you do need to have a checking account with PenFed as well or be military, so if you qualify for the 2%, yes, another option.
@@ProudMoney Correct! Just keep 10 bucks in a no-fee checking acct.
@@Arabsummer hey good to see you over here. đ this guy has good content and he talks really fast. đ
Why would anybody give up a hard pull for no SUB? Just stick to FNBO Evergreen or Wells Fargo Active Cash for flat 2% card with $200 cashback on $1K spend in first 90 days.
Not to mention 3rd party Amex cards are such odd novelties
Or at least a 0% intro period.
Would maybe be a solid keeper card with 2% cashback with no AF and no FTF, but no SUB and the fact that Amex isn't as widely accepted as Visa and MC worldwide makes it a harder sell. No minimum redemption is nice since it seems like most cashback cards have a minimum of $25 redemption, but if you hold the Citi DC, you would also have no minimum redemption for that card as a 2% cashback card. I do like the name of Bread Cashback though, it's kind of cute.
1.5 years after a bankruptcy, I am approved for 7000. Right after bankruptcy I got 4 secured cards plus secured loans plus authorized credit cards provided by friends. I have 700 fico, 730 transunion now.
Quick tip if you're unsure on team Cashback or travel the chase freedom unlimited isn't a bad card 3% on dining and drugstores 1.5% back everything else. But this card is much better for travel you could easily get 2x value so 6% on dining drugstores and 3% on everything else when used for trave by getting the sapphire preferredl isn't bad. Chase is very cheap to get in into travel as well the Sapphire preferred is only 99 a year but there is free in branch offer with a great sign up bonus.
I applied for the Comenity MasterCard twice now and one was in October of last year and the other one was in April of 2022 and was declined two times now and didnât knew or was not sure to apply for this one and give it a shot today and the application was approved for a $3,000 limit and the APR at 26.74 it said and they pull from Experian now but the two others was pulled from Equifax so I got lucky this time.
My old school community mastercard is getting upgraded to the bread rewards american express. Might be a better card than the bread cashback.trasfer will happen mid sept
Mine, too. I got the notice today. I wish it had 5% cashback categories instead of 3%, but it's better than the 1.5.
2% Back. They should call this the Yawn Card.
Two percent cards have their place in your wallet.... for example, you can use a 2% cashback card for all "other," spending outside of major covered categories line dining, gas, grocery, etc. Many cards have a 1% back on everything else, in which case you now use your 2% flat back card for.
Thanks Adam!!!!! I got the card. Approved for $3,500
Nice! Congrats
That's a Lotta money lol
I think my BBP card is better but I do like Comenity because they are good with increases.
I am so glad there is a video on this! Opened pre-approval, of course not definite, there was no offer for opening for meâŠwanting to see if anyone has one before I call
Just got this card to get into the Amex ecosystem for a flat 2% back card. Iâm next going for the BCE or BCP of BOTH!! I got a 5,000 limit too! Not bad! Yes the bank is terrible? But you SHOULD have Amex phone customer service with the protections????
Itâs a solid card, while Amex doesnât know you personally as a member the card offers some excellent perks from Amex and 5K is excellent! The new Bread app for the card is phenomenal and clean looking. If you have a solid score the Amex Blue Cash Everyday is a solid first Amex Card. Iâve had my Bread Cash Back 2% card for a little over a year now Iâve been happy with it.
This is the 2nd time Iâve had this Comenity card change in me.
At first it was the Wayfair Card. Then it was switched to Comenity Mastercard. I a letter the other day that now itâs going to be Bread Financial AmEx.

Unrelated question. Does Bank Of America use the same hard pull for a credit card within 30 days? Husband denied regular cash rewards so he wants to reapply for secured version but donât want the hard pull.
I don't believe so. If my memory is correct BofA usually let's applicants know if the secured version is an option. I would still have him call and ask to use the same hard pull just to be sure. Always worth a try.

Give me some bread,man!
This card is nothing but carbs.

Will holding a third party Amex like this help me get an actual American Express issued card In the future, assuming I use the card responsibly?
Not any more than using a Visa or Mastercard responsibly since Amex is only the network and not the issuing bank in this case.
No itâs on the Amex charge network not through Amex directly. You will need to have a solid credit score and apply to Amex directly for an Amex relationship.
I have a 780 FICO and 740 TransUnion, and 745 Experian, very low income though, and I have some student loans (less than 5000) , so regardless of having a pretty good credit score, I am still denied. I want to have an Amex, X1 Visa, some Mastercard World Elite card, a Discover card.
Bread has another new card on the Amex network but it doesnât seem to be open for applications. The Bread Rewards American Express that earns 3% on gas, dining, grocery stores, and utilities and you get a 25% boost if you have at least 20 transactions that month.
I just got this notice in the mail today. It sounds like a pretty good deal.
I just got a pre-approval mailer today for this bread rewards card but Im not seeing any videos about it. I've never heard of it
