Glad to see that PNC is upfront about their underwriting process. Somewhat surprised that they don’t have a signup bonus launch on a new credit card.
Come on Chase and Amex. Time to step up and offer a 2% card.
bread 2% is technically AMEX since they are the card network on the card.
What AF would AmEx slap on a 2% card though? And what credits to “offset?”
And CapOne, bump up the Quicksilver to 2%?
Agreed. Chase Freedom Unlimited, Cash Magnet, and Schwab Investor (the no annual fee Amex card, not the Schwab Platinum) are 1.5% cash back cards that should be 2% instead. Interestingly, the old Schwab card (it was Visa before Amex took over) was 2%, so there’s precedent for being able to have 2% instead.
When I got the Sofi credit card, I got 3% back for the first year. It's a good card to consider.
The Paypal card still is #1 for the 2% base cash back category.
Venmo is good too since you can get 3% at Costco
True. Except for the 1st year Discover it if you count the bonus.
Great content as always, thanks Adam!!!
Great rundown on some of the 2% cash back cards. Avant now has a 2% cash back card with a maximum CL of $3000 for those with lower credit scores.
Wow PNC sent me a pre-approval for the 4% gas card.
Do a video on the new “Bread Cash Back Card” i just had a mail in offer and AMEX is branding the card.
I have the green PNC Cash Rewards card already, would I be able to product change? I use my Amex BCP mainly, however, PNC for my banking.
IMO PNC is way too snobby for cards that really are nothing special.
Sounds like US Bank to an extent o.o
can you redeem cashback from the the PNC card to an external bank account?
Navy Federal Flagship Visa Card has a 2% category for everything that’s not travel related (3% travel).
I focused on no annual fee cards but that one is good and popular.
Hello. I have probably a bit less than 2 years of credit history but I already have an 8500 dollar credit limit with PNCs other card and a 794 credit score. Do you think that being less than 3 years would be a deal breaker?
I'm 99% sure that I will never apply for another card/account w/ Synchrony Bank. 😑👎 The only 1% would be the Verizon Visa card.
So far the PayPal card has been good to me. I'm still hoping that PayPal switches to someone else when the contract expires lol. Cant beat that 3% back on just about all online services
@xodima8882 when is the contract expiring
@@xodima I have PPL too, it's been a good for me as well.
@@WallStreetIceCream 2027
It's a sad day. 1.5% back starting in August. Time to switch to Citi
No FTF is nice, but no bonus is not

If PNC allowed product changes I would switch to this from their defunct 1.5% back CashBuilder card.
Did you try to product change? You never know when they change the rules like that.
I received it as downgrade from my PNC Primer lol 😂
$51.70/Salvation Army.

You sound like you have a cold. Hope you're staying healthy!
When will Chase jump into the 2% game?
I would totally cut the 3% restaurants and dinning etc. for a 2% or higher unlimited max. Too much overlap between the unlimited and flex.
@@zenster1097 agreed. I already have dining on 3 other cards. I could forgo it for a 2% CFU.
When heck freezes over.
No direct deposit into external account?
A lot of banks don’t allow that.
@@curmudgeonextraordinaire1884 And I don't bank with a lot of banks because of that.
Look dude. Things have changed. I finding more and more places charging me2-5 percent for using a credit or DEBIT card. Points cashbacks are dying.
Can't even get it it's not letting me sign up.
You have to see if you’re pre-selected for the PNC one!! 😊 It’s on the website!
Day late and dollar short, sadly. No bonus is a no-go. PNC is big on relationships too, so the longer you're with them, the more likely they are to approve you. I'm probably maxed out on them though, $63k between two cards
They are probably going to push this card in branch, so not much need if they already have existing relationships.
Well shit if I wasn't 10/24 I'd be all over the citi double cash with a welcome bonus
Alliant Credit Union 2.5% cashback, no FTF and no sign up bonus
Minimum to withdraw not just statement credit? Deposit to external account?
@@zenster1097$50 minimum to withdraw, statement credit or deposit to Alliant Credit Union account for redemption options.
Forgot cap one
Cap1 quicksilver is 1.5%. Do they now have a 2%?
2% really I get 6% with my American Express. 2% is a lifetime ago.
LOL
That's with an annual fee though...not many folks want to pay the annual fee. 🤷
@@athencroft5139and nobody does 6% flat either. That’s 6% on a particular category
The blue cash preferred? That's only on groceries up to 6k annual spending limit with a $95 dollar annual fee which brings it down to 3% cashback.
No intro bonus? No thanks lol Well qualified borrowers remotely reminds me of US bank, which we all know what they are like. Makes it seem prestigious but rewards and benefits aren’t
U.S. Bank does have that 5% back card plus a $150 or $200 sign up bonus depending on when you apply.
X1 is 2% on purchases under $1000.00. Anything over $1,000 is 3%
That is not cashback, that's points.
It says cash back on the website but it seems disingenuous. And it’s only statement credit.
X1 was great and as someone else mentioned, it is points. However, it doesn't do good anymore since it went to Robinhood I believe.
Na I’ll stick with my PayPal cash back card
I've left the game entirely.
Nobody cares.
Time and time again, you always come to the comments section of this channel to post the same thing which is that you're out of the game which is pointless. That's like going to a party and telling everyone that you don't party anymore. Okay, if you don't party anymore, then simply don't come to the party.
@@kevincooper8232 that's crazy
@@kevincooper8232 😂😂😂 Great analogy. He needs to retire
FNBO Evergreen is another 2% card. No fee, $200 SUB, 3% foreign transaction fee.
Eww... Say no to foreign transaction fees!
