✨♥️💔
yeah, somebody let Thom Yorke out of the basement already
all day everyday my friend!!
💯 and 10 friggin percent! Even better in HD!
REAL ONES KNOW!
His ability to just ‘be’ inside each song here is seriously unparalleled. One of the greatest musicians on the planet
The songs live in him I think
@@SungazerDNB I couldn’t agree more
They 💯 live deep inside him. I'll be 40 this year, and I'm not ashamed to say that Ive been brought to tears more than once, just listening to this emotion and conviction, when performing.
Thom Yorke thd bard of fake sorrow ... In reality the asshole loves Isreal and isrealis
@@AudioPervert1 gtfo with your political nonsense.
protect thom at all costs
he’s an amazing artist
water is wet
@@georgehornsby6882 everything is not in it’s right place
Yep
the rhythms and chords, are there so well and intensely lived in his work that everything is creating a continued new transgressive horizon, or becoming, or alignment, always more and more pluridimensional organics from raw flesh and bone, through (dis)harmonies and voicings and wording, every time I come back I always get immersed and feel a part of it, and then leave and let go, all this impact flowing through all arteries and veins, and every cell becomes more alive and is living a/the more and more perfect circle but each time a little different, how well "everything is not in its right place", and that's ok, water is still wet, but if in each time a different water you'll always feel living through his art in expressing emotions and keep you in a kind of hipnotic moment or something, anyway, circle is perfect (or not!) 💯🍉🍓🍒🍅🍎🍉
No other music or musical artist makes me feel so much emotion that it brings me to tears. Long live Thom Yorke & Radiohead 🙏🏻
Well said his songs have been there for the ups and downs
Well then you must be brought to tears very easily.
Because is Thom Yorke baby not Nicky Minaj
This performance of Last Flowers is why I learned to play keyboard
Saaaame!!🤩
X3
to each their own, for me it was Chopin
@@hucz actually it's pronounced Chopin
@@Feallocks So pretentious. It's Chopin.
It's insane how much control Thom has on his voice!! It's so amazing!
Thom Yorke (and Radiohead) is a blessing to the music industry.
Blessing to the world for sure
and the earth
Agree, but fuck the music industry. They are a blessing to humanity.
To the music
When I see Thom Yorke sing and play an instrument, his movements I try to imagine how many things are happening inside his thoughts, he gets lost in something perhaps quite personal, He is an incomparable man, I stop everything to see him
Actually what makes him so great is not that he is lost in his thoughts. He's inside the music he plays with all his spirit. That's what makes it so special..
3:35 Thom had the hidden syncopation of Videotape worked out even here, back in 2005. See his foot tapping the real downbeats in double-time; it's audible if you listen close.
I’m pretty sure in an interview I read that it was Jonny that was obsessed with the syncopation. Thom imagined it as a different song, but Jonny and I think Phil stayed in the studio and stripped everything out to what it finally became. Possibly read that in the king of gear site.
@@andrewlarking7492 Thom has a firm grasp of the syncopation here, two years before the album's release and a year before Bonnaroo, so I'm going to venture a guess that he spawned the idea and the rest of the band loved it since they're all music nerds.
Even better -- he's not just foot tapping, he using the piano sustain pedal in a very subtle way, in addition to reinforcing the downbeats. What's interesting is this recording dates from the period before they dropped the double time section in _Videotape_, so this version without the rest of the band actually sounds more like the double time-less version that eventually appeared on _In Rainbows_.
😮@@traxus12
I don’t think Thom’s piano playing is recognized enough. Such a unique style and phrasing to the way he plays, very driven by left hand chord movement. I can almost always recognize a song he’s written before he even starts singing.
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know how to read music. So he memorizes what to play and plays them in his own way. Super cool!
honestly. i think he's a bad singer and piano player. don't get me wrong. i really like radiohead and his solo stuff, but if this would be a unknown artist, he would be shredded to bits by reviewers (if they would).
@@TheHabiat i see what you mean by that, but there is a strict difference between uniquity and mediocrity. Thom might not be able to play Chaikovsky concerto no 2, or reach all the notes of “Time to say goodbye” but nobody can deliver a performance of Radiohead and Thom Yorke’s music as mindblowing as Thom himself.
@@TheHabiat I can see what you mean by “bad piano player” (although I don’t think you can call it bad in particular), cause even Chris Martin from Coldplay can play much more difficult pieces, but singer? What makes you think that? He has very beautiful strong voice, I enjoy his live performances and I wouldn’t like Radiohead so much if it wasn’t about his voice, his range is also pretty high. “Bones” is very hard song to sing, for example, and Exit Music is known for its beautiful climax. It isn’t mediocre. I’m just curious why would you think that.
@@TheHabiat Why exactly? He is a great singer and is fine with piano, if not good.
How fortunate are we to experience him in our lifetime
i love you Radiohead, and i love you Thom Yorke
I love too!💓
I would give my life for this man.
I love how he writes such sad songs but it makes me happy when he sings them.
Nice name and pp
I hate how asinine little inanes think that there is warranty to the defecation of places with existences.
Emotional Transmutation in progress.
There are some artists that are just so purely beautiful and genuine when they perform, Thom is a perfect example
yes
This version of videotape is incredible
Holy shit I just typed in From The Basement to listen to In Rainbows for the 1000th and I find this... awesome!!!
Thom sounds amazing
Last Flowers.... I'm not crying, you're crying. Wow, beautiul. Brilliant, as always.
Analyse - what have I been doing all of these years without this masterpiece in a steady rotation. What a gift I’ve been given. It’s like discovering the live version of Like Spinning Plates all over again.
Any chance you have a link to the live version of Like Spinning Plates you're talking about?
@@dontcallmegus How about the version on the I Might Be Wrong LP? Gives me goosebumps on the regular.
yeah me too!! Definitive version!@@jeremyreed9650
The live version of Analyse at the Mercury music awards 2006 (vid is on youtube) he does longer extra special vocals. This version is great. That version is better.
His music guides me through so much
Reminds me of we suck young blood.
19:48 Jack White in the darkness is the most disturbing thing you'll see today
Staring at the shadows
I had to high up my brightness to see him lmao
For real bruh
that was pretty upsetting
man how did you saw him ? :D
The level of production to capture every aspect of Thom’s voice and the piano here really is unparalleled. An absolute master class. Bravo Nigel.
Then there’s the music itself 😮
His voice...so unique and beautiful!
This performance of Videotape has arleady had me in tears countless times
Goosebumps...still after all these years. Transported me back to those feelings in 2005.
Love the subtle addition of Thom using the piano pedals in videotape, adding that beautiful metronomic beat to the overall mix. Amazing. Probably my favourite version of this song.
The best 20 minutes of CZcams I've found and only 461K people have gotten to hear this. what a shame
662k. va llegando a mas gente ❤
Best version of Videotape I’ve heard
me too
Agreed
nahh
Nah Bonnaroo 2006 version of Videotape is the greatest of all time
It's this version and also From the Basement!
The power this man and his piano have over me is overwhelming sometimes, seriously, what an unbelievable talent and energy. 🖤
the greatest artist of the 21st century so far. without a doubt
Just what I needed.
All I Need*
ugh this was absolutely flawless. I adore every single thing this man does.
This is pure gold. Every note hits you straight in the heart. I’ve been listening to TY/RH for about 30 years now and, far from growing tired, their music hits me harder as times goes by. His/their musical talent is just overwhelming.
Your comment represents me as well
I'm crying.
timeless performance
I don’t normally mind ads on CZcams but I’m not very keen on getting a meow mix commercial whilst listening to down is the new up, amazing performance though.
An incredible sound, and an unlikely four songs. Absolutely spellbinding
Last flowers is so beautiful
Thom I admire and adore you and your music so much. It’s helped me through many times and is kind of 90% of my playlists. I love you.
That beautiful voice and music has mesmerised me for 30 years. Downright my favourite musician of all time. Very talented…..thanks for this music
He is a musical genius. There's no hiding place with only a keyboard and vocals and this is devastatingly beautiful...incomparable!
Sometimes I don’t believe they are humans. Such an amazing band!
They're def not human. Them and David Bowie.
Channeling that divine sound. It flows through him, he's a conduit.
I don't think I realized this was recorded in 2005 before, so basically a year before The Eraser came out and two years before In Rainbows came out.
Oh, wow. Each of these tunes are so well realized here I didn't even think about it. I assumed this was from much later. That's pretty crazy.
@@traxus12 It's a testament to Thom Yorke's and Radiohead's talent.
The beginning of an era of sadness
wasn't already started with every album of Radiohead?
@@MOHAMEDHAMDY-sx3tk exactly! but that's a start too.
@@muzoors Not really
I mean In Rainbows is less depressed than any album made by Radiohead. It's more energetic and upbeats so "the era of sadness" already there
In an old interview from many years ago, Thom or Jonny described the music they were developing as "miserablist" - a definition which includes some self-deprecating humour (ie, making fun of themselves). I love the way their music creates a feeling of melancholy but not depressing and always somehow beautiful
@@denniskessler2349 I guess they like being masochists. And I dont care, love they
He is otherworldly...
His voice is so wonderful, so peaceful, so Thom
the beauty of his music, still fresh as ever 16 years later
The perfect today's dose.
Thom Yorke, awarded best live performance of 2021 way back in 2005.
This performance left me speechless... I think this is a proof of the talent and musical genius of this amazing artist called Thom Yorke.
When I listen to this video, there is no thom yorke, there is no piano, just an inexplicable feeling happens inside, almost as if me and the world had no problems, it's like abstracting from reality for a few minutes, and entering a beautiful and inspiring reality.
Quite...
...and the work of late Mark Hollis has the same effect on me.
It’s fuckin Neil young, Dylan level brilliance. What a blessing to have this guy around.
Every key pressed, every note, every word sang, every whisper. Pure magic from one of the most important and influential musicians of the last 25 years. His work is a major influence on me. If I could write one song that is half of what he does... Thank you, Thom for this.
Down is the new up is absolutely masterpiece
i'm obsessed
Genius. Outwordly.
9:41 "You crawled off and left us, you b*stard" I felt that so hard.
Now I'm a little bit happier
And I'm fitter, happier, more productive
Thumb's up before even watching 'cause I know it's gonna be great!
I love it, makes me feel so good at 3 am with insomnia.
One of the best musician on the earth❤ I love his music

i'm so happy for the people who discover or see it for the first time
Cada publicación que radiohead hace , es una sorpresa para la humanidad . Se les extraña la verdad .
My favorite Thom Yorke recording session of all time ❤❤❤
The most talented writer of music in the last 39 years his lyrics have such depth and meaning his songs tell a story you just have to listen.
