- So here is Mr Bungle live from the Corner hotel Melbourne Victoria 18/03/2000 I managed to get a camcorder into this show and to my amazment security helped me with a position!
It's not bad for for a kid with a camcorder in a dingy little venue... - Hudba
Here's the story behind the "I hate white people shirt"...
Cleveland OH second leg of "California" tour...I was talking to the tour manager in the venue lobby about giving me a VIP pass, he said they were all the way back in the bus and he didnt feel like going to get one. Shaved head dude in an "I hate white people" shirt walks by. Tour manager sees it and says "oh my god I need that shirt!". I say, "I'll get you that shirt and when I do you'll get me pass, right?". He calls my bluff. Chase down skinhead dude prepared to, I guess, buy the shirt off his back. Tap dude on the shoulder, "Hey man, can I... buy that shirt? " He says sure how many do you want?" Turns out he sells them out of the trunk of his car. Return to tour manager and broker the deal. He buys two shirts. Now I know were the other one went. Thanks for the vid!
Sounds legit.
Want to hear some wild shit ...im that bald guy
..been looking for proof of this for 20 years

Thank goodness it's 2020 and Mr Bungle have reunited to play death metal songs from one of their obscure early demos.
I WAS AT THIS SHOW, LITERALLY FRONT AND CENTER! My good friend, Brent, and I arrived early so we could get the best spot in front of the stage. We saw all the Bungle shows in Sydney and all the Melbourne shows on this tour... so awesome!
MsB inSYDNEY . Was it as good as the footage? I missed Bungle because I live in the arse end of the world Perth and because of the Chilli Peppers getting them kicked off the 2000 BDO bill. Hope you had an awesome experience.
I was there too, as I unfortunately lost my ticket to the Palace! My baby bro & I were there.
MsB inSYDNEY I was there too 👍
MsB inSYDNEY best band ever
James Rudland Anthony kiedes and his penis envy
I went to the show the night before at the (then) Palace. This gig was the all ages one the next day. They were utterly brilliant!!! Best gig to date! It's almost like they were saying "This is it! We won't be back, so we're giving you the BEST!"
Yeah. 24min. Best Bungle track. Mike Patton is a musical genius and any musician he works with have the potential to release albums that are timeless. Bold statement but who can disagree?
as someone who was at this show, thank you so much for uploading this.
how I miss these guys!!
Was There, one of the best bands live i've seen, corner was an awesome venue for gigs back then, smoked some serious hash too.

The first song is The Thing Strikes, not Third Floor Dungeon.
That version of Travolta. Goddamn. If that doesn't get you moshing around your room like a rabid horny wild boar, nothing will.
Thanks for taping this and sharing!
incredible concert, you are so lucky to see them live
Such a clever guy (understatement). Such an experience seeing Bungle and seeing Patton in any show.
Oh my!!! You guys are amazing nearly 9000 views in less than a day and so many positive comments (except that one jerk) thank you and I promise ill try post more full shows soon...
I was there that night at the corner . Forgot how good they were !! many thanks for upload
THAT was fantastic!
A few tunes I would love to have heard, but I'm happy. I used to listen to them when I was out on the road driving as a courier back in 2004-05.
These tunes bring back memories.
Thanks for posting this. 😜🤪😀😁😂🤣😃😜🤪🤯🙃😹😁
For my own sake:
Merry go bye bye - 47:10
Travolta - 22:09
How does anyone miss this classic... Right on man

Scotty...
Mike Patton is such an alien to/in this world.... good luck!
amazing, awsome, bizarre, strange, i love them!
Impeccable show, such rare footage. This is why I love youtube. I thank your younger self for recording this and your current self for uploading it!
Man is this amazing!
I was at this show! this was probably the best live show i have ever seen, at my favourite Melbourne venue.. just..awesome
This was the first band I ever saw live... and this was the venue I saw them at....
However I think it was the tour before '96(?) Disco Volantè...
really glad you posted this tho.
Ahhhh. Bungle. Miss these guys.
I saw this tour at Adelaide uni - it was excellent, thanks for the post!
great band ever seen
Was at this show. Thank you for posting
Wow, cheers tons for that! That's obviously the all-ages arvo gig at the Corner, they did a gig that night there too. I saw them at the Palace the night before. One of the best gigs I've ever seen, and I've seen thousands.
same went to both shows, 2 different sets and both incredible
Legend for doing this. I missed it, can't believe I seeing this after 11 years.. great work. great!:D
Aah the good ol' days eh :) I still have my ticket stub from the Disco Volante tour in 96, I really should get it framed! Nice upload. Nice to know there are other Bungle/FNM etc fanatics out there still!
Great quality, I know there were decent camera's at that time even in the early 90s I'm still amazed.
In their prime. Thanks for sharing!
Can't believe how good the sound on this came out... props to you man!
It would take an extremely rare, special kind of person to respond with anything less than a positive comment. Thank you for posting this, it's a real gem. Having seen Mr. Bungle in Albuquerque in late '99 myself, I'm glad you were also able to go see them before they stopped touring and broke up -- and grateful for the circumstances which allowed you to capture the show on video with such terrific quality. Again, thank you.
Thanks for sharing. Amazing. RETROverrtiGO..........
We went to the show that night. This is awesome. Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz - mind blowing! It's all mind blowing actually....
Amazing.
Ha, what the hell! I was at this gig! Thanks for putting this on!
I was at the Corner Hotel show in 96 😃
I was at this gig, and even wrote a small zine review, thanks for uploading!
WOW! good work dude!
Thanks for posting this vid! I saw this tour in '99 when Dillinger opened for them. I got to meet Patton and Trey before the show. Surreal.
To LostInTheTransition, these dudes are the inspiration for countless bands that you probably love. Listen to an album. Disco Volante is where it's at.
Bungle inspired by Zappa,love both.
Were they in masks
@@samquicky3052They were not. I believe Patton was wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
ALUCINANTE BUENISIMO¡
I close my eyes, I'm in heaven!
i saw the 97 tour in adelaide at the tivoli hotel. absolutely mind blowing show. the whole building shook with the crowd swaying in unison.
Wow! I was at this show!
Yes! Mr. Bungle!!
i have heard of you guys before... will check it up!

I must start a petition for a Mr.Bungle reunion, who's with me ??????????

This band is legendary but MP with the SM57 takes it over the top.
@speakslime Mate I had just turned 18 and loved every minute of it...

Thanks for uploading this mate, this was the only time I ever got to see Bungle live. Still rate it as one of my favourite gigs ever.
Any chance you've got the audio from FNM 97 festival hall and festival all 24th show from last year?
Both times I saw these guys - including this show - were fucking unbelievably good. Next level shit.
Hey Matt White this sure was the under age show!
GOODBYE SOBER DAYS
This show and lots others no available to buy on eBay!!! 10-12 DVDs in total tons of hours of shows/tv appearances and more! Search faith no more live dvd. Post world wide!!! !
I was there 🤘
This reminds me of my cousin when he is drunk
I didn't know Bungle came to Melbourne, holy shit
This is amazing.
I could have gone if I had known they were here :(
Cynthia Jones, Bungle were on the bill for the 2000 BDO but Anthony Doosh Kiedes refused to headline with the Chilli Spastics if the genius that is Mike Patton and his Bungles played. I loath that pathetic commercial band of no talents that is the peppers.
Cynthia I see you everywhere Patton related on you tube and to think you may live down the road from me... I've actually trolled you with some pretty stupid shit about Mike being in Ween and RHCP, and you've never clicked...haha, see ya at the pub....
They came in 1996 too
Quincy Smith Will always remember how you like this one. I know I do. It's great! And what's up with Mike's shirt?
:)
Merry Go Bye Bye, fuck they killed it.
MR BUNGLE PLEASE!
Thanks mate keep an eye on the blog there is more to come!
tnkz man,
bello
@SeniorConcha no I was just a kid with a camcorder! lol thanks...
i seen em a bunch of times in 89 through '91 I wish i had a camcorder back then. totally insane
Were they in masks
Yup Mike was wearing this crazy toxic avenger white jump suit and had a back pack with this melted demon nuclear Chernobyl doll in the backpack the last time I saw them in 1991 in this little hole in the wall spot in Santa Barbara 😂
Great upload, the audio is especially great! I've watched about 8 times this month!
Can you please share the set list or at least tell me what song is playing between the 6:00 - 9:35 mark?
Thank You so much!
Hi ya the video at the end was a band I used to manage I forgot it was there when I posted this.
They were called .hinge and made aseries of E.P's but sadly it was the wrong time for what they had to offer and have since split up.
For what it’s worth they were great...
Thanks...

I remember this day very well! what a show! Was 19 but still managed to get in to this underage gig. Went to a friends 18th that night and my ex girlfriend tried to hit me! oh what a day! Also met Patton at his sideshow at the old punters club which is now bimbos a couple of nights before.
@Th0seDo0dz cheers mate glad you enjoyed it! more to come!
