"I bet that tank is going to be in the game." "I bet it's going to be a fucking micro-transaction."
You'd be right, and you'd be right.

@@aristosachaion_ Well of course, it's not Russian.

Just waiting for the day they make her or any cellist an offical member.
I agree 100% with what you say about Sabaton sounding like Sabaton. I love listening to Sabaton, I love the history they present through their music. I was a tanker in the U.S.Army stationed in Germany from 84-88 and was ready to jump right back in my tank after watching this.
Hahaha. Thank you for your service! And yeah, I’ve never been in the military and sometimes their music fires me up enough to want to enlist.
Hop to M60 Patton and rode one last Tank Roam with ye old Bois and playing steel commanders....Gotta keep those days fresh up
RADIO TAPOK also did a cover of this song and today, he uploaded a video at the same location, where Sabaton recorded a original music video.
I like how they actually used Tommy’s high pitched singing as backing vocals like he uses as a lead singer in Majestica, a pretty epic power metal band who even did an album about A Christmas Carrol.
Totally not a poorly hidden hint to check that band out.
Also, Tommy singing "Money Money Money" in Swedish Hitz Goes Metal is incredible. Just when you think he can't go any higher, he just blows through the roof.

A reaction to the music video of Above the Sky would be epic gear-wise
@@ShadyLurker84 YES! Totally agree!🤘😁
Yeah, that was great to hear. I love Sabaton but Tommy is such a good vocalist I honestly think he's wasted just playing guitar for them.
Ghost of Marley with Majestica are just so damn gooood. And Above the sky are gonna give Tank a lot of guitars to talk about…. 😀
Sabaton sounds like Sabaton, and will always sound like Sabaton. They are consistent with their sound and theme, and like you said, you know exactly what you're getting with them, and it's always epic and amazing. Can't wait to see them again next year!
Man, I miss your Sabaton Saturday! It was the highlight of the week.
Totally agree with you 👍🏻
I've said this before consistency is the key to success when it comes to Sabaton they have the same look, same uniform, same sound and theme having or finding your niche isn't really a bad thing
I would say that compare to a lot of other band, sabaton really got a rather good reach.
That's also how you build a loyal following.
Yes - they GO BIG on EVERYTHING...including appreciating their fans. Hope you get the chance to meet-n-greet with the band in Nashville. Would love to get TankTheTech's reaction to Meeting The Band.
I'm going to quote you: "We're back baby!", and I couldn't be more happy. Your reactions are the best ones I've ever seen! Sabaton are close to my heart, so they are the ones I mostly watch, so I'm happy to see another Sabaton reaction from you. You rock! (I just paused your reaction to write this...). I'm happy to see your joy even before the song has barely started. I think I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Keep it up. You're awesome, and I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for your reactions when Sabaton releases new songs and videos! Thank you, you make this so much more fun and interesting to watch. Especially being a female Swede living abroad, and seeing other non Swedes enjoy Sabaton! Keep up your great work! All my best
Thank you for such kind words! Much appreciated!
Tbh when Sabaton announced their new Album, my first thought was "Wait, isn't a Song on the current album named the same?"
And than i realised i'm stupid and its "The end of the war to end wars"
For those who didn't get it
- Joakim is singing a love song about the history of tanks, his one true love
- Flers-Courcelette appears in "The Future of Warfare"
- Prokhorovkha appears in "Panzerkampf"
- Overlord is from "Primo Victoria"
And an obligatory plug-in for "To Hell and Back" from Antwerp
The future of warfare. That's the song. I couldnt remember the title. Thank you
@@p3chv0gel22 you're welcome my friend
Yup - Joakim admittedly likes to slip in Easter Eggs into his songs.
Future of Warfare was another song about tanks. In fact, about the first tank to see combat.
Jokes on Sabaton, we will watch this on repeat even with sound effects
The tank's a premium tank in the game, yes. It's also got a custom crew made up of the band members (they also replaced the standard fist logo for the Brothers in Arms perk with somebody throwing up the horns, which I thought was a nice touch). Joakim also recorded lines as the tank commander so that you hear him when you're using the tank in battle. Not a lot, since the tank commander doesn't talk too often no matter what tank you're in, but it's still a fun little perk to using it. Using the tank also replaces the default music that plays on a map during the countdown before the battle starts, so you get to hear (brief) remixes of Steel Commanders while you're waiting for the battle to start.
They did this before with the Primo Victoria tank as well, and since then The Offspring have also gotten their own tank (though I don't think they released a single for the occasion). Still, Sabaton and Wargaming suit one another. I think I remember Joakim mentioning that they actually really enjoy working with them, because not only do Sabaton and Wargaming work well together, but it gives them an opportunity to release songs that they don't think fit in with any particular album concept. For example, a song about the Bismarck was one of their biggest fan requests for quite a while, but they didn't feel like it fit with anything they were working on at the time. So when Wargaming asked if they wanted to do another single for them and if they had any ideas for it--or if they'd prefer to just use one of their existing songs--it was a great opportunity for everyone involved. Wargaming got a song just for the occasion, Sabaton was able to finally produce a song they wanted without worrying about whether it fit in with the sound of anything else they were working on, and we finally got to hear a song about the Bismarck.
"All Sabaton songs sound the same" You know, I'm old enough to remember when a band having an instantly recognizable and unique-to-them sound was a good thing...
I love how Tina walks out in the end like a boss.
Fun fact: speaking of lord of the rings feeling that you mentioned in the beginning, sabaton made a lord of the rings themed song called "shadows" from their first album called "metalizer" an album created before they started with the war historical theme 😁
Really looking forward to this one...and is very appropriate for Tank!
honestly, the war to end all wars sounds like a part 2, the great war album has a build up to something and ends with in Flanders fields, i think these albums will play back to back and flow perfectly.
adding to this, I have started listening to the history versions of the albums, the added spoken word bits at the start of each song give them so much more weight, and if you haven't already listen to the history version of great war, doesn't need to be a react, just something to experience.
That was my thought as well
Good breakdown as to wh
@@patrickschardt7724 honestly I'm getting a similar vibe to stone sours hose of gold and bones albums.
I mean great war, and war to end all wars being the titles, both songs were on the first album, I'm getting a feeling we may see a reprise version of war to end all wars on the second album, and maybe even an updated/rerecording of cliffs of Gallipoli.
Everyone puts in a real shift on this song, but special shout out to Hannes, the drumming on this track is top notch. I'm going to be at their Wembley show in March and cannot wait to hear this one live- it's going to be immense.
My favorite thing about this song is that they tie in a lot of lyrical and melodic references to The Future of Warfare, which was wholly about how Tanks came to be in World War 1 and how it reshaped war. The references are sprinkled all throughout, like "over trench and wire," mentioning several of the battlefields from that song, and there are a few melodic references like how the song builds to its chorus. Absolutely love the throughlines this song has.
actually as a World of Tanks player we have been going through The Spirit of War challenge. To get the Strv K and Sabaton as the crew, and yes it has a price if you can't complete the challenge you get a discount applied depending on how far you got. But it does come with a metric shit ton of goodies. To all real Tankers who served YOU are the real Steel Commanders. o7
I legit considered buying the bundle just because, but the sad fact is I don't play the game too often any more. The game just really looks dated these days, especially compared to how beautiful Warships looks. It kind of feels like Warships borrowed all of the talented artists from Tanks and then never returned them. Tanks looks so dated it ends up hurting my eyes after maybe an hour of play; it definitely looks like a game released in 2010. These days I go to Warthunder to get my tanker fix, as at least that one doesn't give me major eye strain.
With this song, I've the vibe of the earlier days of them, the speed is back
That tank is in WoT. In ongoing "marathon"(10 days of tasks for discount on the bundles - without any tasks 80$ for tank+crew, and then 25$ worth of premium in-game currency for the visual skin). Definitely would have gotten it if the tank was not this bad for the state of the game(higher tier than old premiums, obsoleting them as means of gaining in-game currencies... essentially opens up a whole new level of predatory marketing for WarGaming - they have several vehicles backed up that then can start selling for 55+$...
This is why I prefer WT
When you load into the game in that tank the music starts slowly kicking in the spirit effects happening on the tank, F'n awesome!
One of my favorite things about this video is what a badass Tina Guo is. She rocks out so hard and looks so damn good in the Sabaton "uniform" that its like she has been in the band from the beginning.
It's absolutely true that bands tend to have their own sound, and mostly that is a good thing. IT *is* afterall how you recognize them, plus chances are if you like a lot of songs from a band you are going to like new songs you haven't heard before. I feel like this is especially true with a lot of more "thematic" bands (for lack of a better word). With Sabaton it's the history of war, Blind Guardian is Tolkien-esque, and frankly this list could go on a long time.
There is however a different way as well (and somehow I can only think of japanese bands of the top off my head), but there are bands like Gacharic Spin, where i'd say every song sounds really quite unique, or Babymetal, where pretty much every song is radically different, mashing yet another genre into the mix.
And lastly there are bands that evolved over time a whole lot, whether voluntarily or because Band Members have to be replaced, or they get bigger and can do stuff they couldn't before, simply by adding new instruments/sounds/bandmembers. My personal favorite Yousei Teikoku aka Das Feenreich fits that bill, way back they had a lot of electronica/EDM even, and were a two-piece act, with their latest albums being a more traditional metal setup and every album getting harder than the last (Seriously "The Age Of Villains" is epic).
That wall of text really just serves to illustrate one point, there is no one *right* way to do music (thankfully). All those bands are f*cking awesome, i love them all, and they do things differently because, guess what, people are different. ;)
TL;DR: No matter why or how, good bands are good
Well, Angra is very unique, with their world music influences, Rhapsody of Fire also, with their orchestral extravaganzas. Not to forget Wintersun.
I've watched this reaction again (because I really like it) and I've just noticed that, as the knight gets "dressed up" through the clips, he actually gets a necklace with the Sabaton-S at around 2:49 ... I just thought that's a cool touch from the band that you might not have seen yet :D
Looking forward to see your reaction! I’ve seen the video and i think it’s awesome!
Im supposed to see them in October in Maryland. Stoked for the performance and have been smashing the refresh button all week waiting for your reaction. Keep killing it Sir and enjoy the show!
Now that he has already done the reaction to it I'm gonna call it. The into is going to get him, he won't be too keen on the verses but the chorus will be stuck in his head for days.
Isn't that the case with quite literally ANY Sabaton song?
Just a few examples:
Then the Winged Hussars arrived - coming down the mountainside
Then the Winged Hussars arrived - coming down they turned the tide
There on that day, Sergeant York entered the fray - saving the day - 82nd all the way
For the grace, for the might of our lord - in the name of his glory
For the faith, for the way of the sword - gave their lives so boldly
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the warmachine - to rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas - The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
Imperial force defied, facing 500 samurai
Surrounded and outnumbered, 60 to 1 the sword face the gun
Bushido dignified, it's the last stand of the samurai - surrounded and outnumbered.
...I rest my case.
@@ranekeisenkralle8265 if you want to go there that is the same for every song in existence. This song just reminded me a lot of I think it was Great War and Tank had said he liked the chorus more than the verses. That was where my prediction was going for this song and not just pointing out the obvious that the chorus is here to hook you.
@@thomashoffman8916 I respectfully disagree - to an extent. Sure, that may be what choruses by and large are aiming for, but not all of them do succeed. Sabaton, however, nails that aspect time and again.
@@ranekeisenkralle8265 my point was I was referencing a previous video of his about Sabaton. You are right though, they have some of the most memorable chorus lines of any band in recent memory and it sticks with you.
@@thomashoffman8916 It does. Very much so.
Did you notice that touring with Sabaton is The Hu? As in Wolf Totem? I can't comprehend how AWESOME it's gonna be. Cheers
Whenever i listen to a Sabaton song i want it to sound like a damn Sabaton song, it's fucking epic as hell and i basically love all their songs. They should never stop sounding like Sabaton :D
You are awesome and i cant wait to se sabaton live next year
If I remember correctly in the video for "Livgardet" Joakim doesn't have glasses on and that was kinda weird 😆. I want my Sabaton with camo outfits, aviators and badass delivery of history lessons 🤘😁
I found these guys last year....I love them to death and I drool for their next song and history lesson. Sabaton can make any event from the wars and make it sound awesome. I want more from them!!!
Great to hear and see you reacting to Sabaton again!! And I've got a ticket for their concert in April ! :-)
i was waiting for this, ma man!
I am able to see Sabaton in Germany next year and it's the first time for me. I got a ticket to the concert to see the other band who is performing. I'm scared and excited at the same time.
great video tank, keep up the awesome work, it's weird how some bands don't change there style at all and it works and for others it doesn't work.
the tank the members of Sabaton was in is a "blueprint" tank, the swedish army developed a new battle tank in the early 1950s, the blueprints for it does exist irl but none were fully built, 2 hulls her built but converted into other prototypes. the tank was to be nicknamed "Kranvagn" and was developed under the name "EMIL". the tanks hull was shaped very similarly to a soviet IS-3 tank but the turret was a french oscillating turret design like the turret on most of the AMX tanks.
Since my other comment got jacked a little I just wanted to say I am glad you liked it Tank and more than just what I had predicted. Also love the dig at Wargaming at the end (they are already in microtransaction trouble for microtransaction issues so that made my day).
Putting it out there again, you should check out "Pumping Iron Power" by Grailknights with Jaokim for the pure over the top performance and super 80s nostalgia.
I honestly don't even know anything about their games and just assumed it would be a microtransaction. Hahaha
the song is playing in this tank in the loading in screen of any battle FREAKING awsome
I think the first Sabaton song I ever heard was Fields of Verdun. Popped up in my recommendations a few years ago. Been hooked ever since.
I like the videos with the sound effects over the music. I constantly listen to Bismark on CZcams Music purely because I *love* the sound of those naval guns firing.
You're going to looooove them live! Sooooo so so so so good live!
Looking forward for this reaction
In this music video Sabaton places the new Swedish tier 9 premium tank from Wargamings in the game World of Tanks in front of the Strv K and its 3D skin which he accepts at the end of the video. There is also the complete Sabaton band as a crew with their voices. I have already earned it and I have to say that it is a really successful project again
Fingers crossed that I'll get to see them this month 🤞.
Love the soundeffects, best song 👍🤘 Jocke ändra aldrig!!!
another great song from them (as usual). cant wait for their tour next year , ill be there in budapest (again)
Great reaction to an awesome new Sabaton song. I saw Sabaton with Hammerfall a few years ago - great performance! I am looking forward to catching them again with Judas Priest soon and hope you enjoy the Nashville show! Excellent new intro to your channel, btw!
This will be explosive 🧨😂
You are spot on 👏👏👏 It's probably the same people who whine that all Starwar's films take place in space, that the ice cream is too cold, the coffee too hot and that Swedish is difficult to understand, who whine that Sabaton sounds like Sabaton.
Awesome song, awesome review. And of course, no Sabaton video can go without drammer fact)
And in the music video Joakim get the soul of the tank, wich explains a lot)
I agree with you love love Sabaton Is Sabaton. Epic.
I hope you get to see them live Tank. I saw Sabaton open for Megadeth years ago and I had no clue who they were at the time. They put on such an EPIC set it blew Lacuna Coil, Motörhead and Megadeth out of the water on the same tour.
Nice work man, enjoyed Ur episode even today like always, but for some reason I lobe the sound effects, haha like all the explosive stuff happening around, I guess it gives me a more realistic feeling,,
Anyways, ROCK ON MAN 🤟🤟🤟
Your reaction at 6:52 was basically exactly how i felt, pure joy!
I honestly love the sound effects in the videos. Between this song, fields of Verdun, and Bismarck, after watching the videos first, listening to just the song just feels like it's missing something.
I have a question for you: how do female vampires feel about anti-tank artillery rifles?
@@Thomas.Wright well, bitches love cannons.
@@Valykry * Clap! * NAILED IT!
You brought up the Sunglasses, and it reminded me of the only concert for them I've been able to go to, there was a little girl up close to the front, this was at their 2022 Chicago show, and the little girl was about 8, Joakim noticed her after the show had ended and started talking to her, and ended up deciding to give her his sunglasses, it was just one of the most wholesome thing I've seen
I was legit wondering when this would drop, it did not disappoint
Love them showing Tommy on vocals during the high vocals during the verses. Dude has an awesome voice and is a great vocalist in his own right, which he did live this year when they toured! So Awesome of a song and this song is a head banging must.
The song is amazing!
I am so happy Tommy got to sing a little on this song
This new song is awsome 🤟🏻
I really hope that you can see these guys live, Sabaton rocks the hell out of you live. I have seen them 2 times before. Now in Februry 2022 i have tickets for their Swedish Tour 😎 🤟🏻
As always...
Love the t-shirt. Bought some for my self :)
Nice!!!
Congratulations to 90.000 fans 🤘🏻
Thank you!
thanks,Tank!...
Finally a sabaton-video😁🔥
Great review again. This tank is in WoT and the band is also in the game with this tank. Plus, the song plays when you use this tank in the game.
Said album just dropped and its full of goodies.
Loved this song! Can't wait to see them on Sept 17th (for the 2nd time).
Would also love to see you come back and check out more babymetal, it's been almost a year since you have
I used to be one of those "All Sabaton songs sounds the same!" guys, but over the last couple of years they have won me over completely. Now i dont have to live with getting bullied by my fellow swedish metalheads anymore. ^_^
🤘
Long time fan but I just saw them for the 1st time live in Milwaukee and they rocked
Nice!
Hey Tank! I was waiting for this video and I loved your reaction, as usual!
I'll be at the Tour visit here in Leipzig, germany and I am fcking stoked for the new album as well.
Would you consider doing a VLOG from your concert visit? Maybe also checking out another (few?) songs from "The HU" and "Lordi" as preparation for the concert?
Looking forward to more content, you're amazing!
Have a good one and blessings to your wife and child as well!
I would love to be able to do a VLOG style video of the show if possible!
@@TankTheTech That would be absolutely amazing!
"Sabaton always sounds like Sabaton...". Now aint that a surprise, I would never have guessed. 🤔
I don't know about others but I myself would be very surprised if they suddenly started to sound like Dimash or something. No let me re-phrase that - I would be extremly disappointed if they started to sound like [insert a name of your own choice here].
Cheers / B.
Sabaton sounding like Dimash lol that would be one hell of a genre jump

I already got my ticket for the tour next year, that will be awesome :D
Funny fact when I met sabaton on a pre listening of The great war album . We asked joakim which song was his favorite on the new album and he said "actually ..my favorite song from the great war is actually not on this album " . So im quite excited to know which song it is when we get the new album 🤘🤘
And as always awsome reactions man 👌🤘
Hey all. As usual a very good reaction video, also i did play wot and at the time there was a tank called Primo Voctoria wich had the bands voices in the tank, so if u were the tank commander, u had Joaqim and so on. Never played the game long enough to find out though.
I love how the videos about the spirit of a knight medieval armored Infantry traveling throughout history taking on the form of the heavy armored infantry of the modern-day and the various world wars fighting for the good guys
13:00 yup XD
this vid is basically an advertisement of that tank in the game
Exactly. It's the first tier 9 premium tank in the game
You know what you are gonna get with Sabaton and you know you are gonna love it, that is their charm.
Fun fact, the tanks and locations shown in this video are all playable vehicles and maps in the game World of Tanks
I hope you vlog some when they come to Nashville 😎
I'd be willing to bet that the pyro in live shows will closely reflect the sound effects in this video. But I don't expect I'd have many takers.
Got my ticket for my first Sabaton show too but in Sweden in early next year.
This song is growing on me!
I love the "one song" Sabaton are playing. Have you ever heard the "one song" (they are actually joking about that "one song" themselves) by german based band Iron Savior (their main man is Helloween-Co-Founder Piet Sielck)? I love that "one song", too. :D I love your reactions! Thank you! :D
Haha their MV budget seems to increase over time. Damn. The editing on this video is amazing.
I doubt there was even a budget in terms of the editing, since Wargaming did all of it and they collaborate on a lot of stuff with Sabaton.
I've bought tickets for sabaton in cologne... i hope we can go and watch sabaton live for the first time and the Concert will not be canceled because of corona or something
Tank reacting to Sabaton... count me in!
Could not make it live though due to fantasy football live draft obligations ... lol
Oh, have I missed Sabaton! Personally I think the loud sound effects are meant to promote WoT and get people interested. Same goes with Bismarck and Primo Victoria which were also meant to promote WG’s games.
The more Nordic music u listen to the more u look like a real viking. welcome my friend!
I introduced my metal buddy to sabaton at a concert. He wasn’t into European metal. Now he is a huge fan, one thing he said that he will never forget. He’s never seen a metal front man smile so much. Jaokim face muscles must be incredibly strong to hold a smile all concert.
Oh and he never shuts up between songs. 🤣 seen them 3 times.
About the same sound. Usually each band has something that catch, or something thati's most popular. Sabaton has two songs for me: Panzer Battalion and Wolfpack. I'm not a WoT fan, it was just the first song I heard from these Manowar followers. And Wolfpack is a tribute to the many hours I spent in Silent Hunter 3. I'm not exactly a big fan of Sabaton, but I have to pay tribute to their epic character.
Tina Goo also appeared with Sabaton at Wacken 2018.
Interview question to Sabaton: "Do you own a tank?" - "Ah no... we own two!" ;-)
Can't wait to see them in October. 10 year old can't wait to see them, either. They're his favorite band.
My wife, my 6 y.o. and me are waiting till April :) Younger one (2 y.o.) will have to wait more... :(
Oh man that's awesome.
