When the car you wanted as a kid is now 20 years old...man, I’m old.
lol same. I was going to get one of these 15 years ago before i bought my FD3S. I can definitely afford them now, i could get a couple of them if i want but i learned over the years that torqueless engines are pointless lol. I know, because i had an FD3S. And a rotary might be even less torquey than a honda engine. I would love to own an s2k still though, but i'd drop an LS engine in it. There's no replacement for displacement.
Just bought my 3rd S2K, 2000 S2K in black my first AP1. What a beast! Damn loud and very uncomfortable. Man! I am old but love this car.

I love the car, 99%....what gets me about it bad, it's those blobbed MIG welds on the cage gussets. As a TIG fabricator, I'd have had to grind that shit off and put some proper welds on that. Those MIG welds look cold and like blobbed bubble gum. Otherwise, the car is one of the best S2k's I've seen...and I live down the road from SEMA, in vegas.

Everything this is awesome, just them welds on the roll bars. Like the other comment regarding it get a tig welder to put some nice clean welds on would look so much better. Apart from that it's 100x cleaner than my S2k.

Looks and sounds like a Buddy Club Spec II. I used to have one on mine. It's an incredible exhaust and I regret swapping it out all the time.
Hey it's just a stock exhaust at the moment, that I cut in the centre and put a blast pipe. I also swapped the factory cat for a 63mm invidia test pipe.
I had a few exhausts before this setup including the js 70rr, but this is better than then all in terms of sound and low drone at freeway speeds.

Most likely the interior or the hardtop! It was loud in the cabin and I could not even hear the rattling😅
