  • Types of RPA Solutions
    [ Human - Robot Engagement Spectrum ]
Broadly RPA is categorised in three divisions, however in real scenarios it does has variation's indeed.
    Attended Automation
    Unattended Automation
Bot run on its own at scheduled time, with no human intervention.
    Hybrid Automation
Human and Bot work in co-relation.
    Further Sub-criterias to it are:
    Attended Automation
    Attended Interval
    Attended In Tandem
    Hybrid (Human In Loop)
    Unattended
    Partially Unattended
    Fully Unattended
    Defining further:
    1. Attended Automation (Bot managed by human agent)
    1.a. Attended Interval
Human involves robot at defined intervals
Majorly the Processes which require processing on run time
E.g. : Call center agent extracting customer data
    1.b. Attended In Tandem
Human on Computer with robot processing in background
Majorly the Processes which does not require UI interaction
    E.g. : API based automation
    2. Hybrid (Human In Loop)
Human and Bot work in co-relation
Unattended Bot run/triggered in background basis some criteria
It is more of like Bot performs set of action, waits for human input, performs further process basis input received
E.g. : Payment processing, where Bot performs system update and process payments basis human approval/rejection
    3. Unattended
    3.a. Partially Unattended
Action based trigger of Bot Unattended Bot
Majorly the Processes which are dependent on some other process or have pre-requisites
E.g. : Bot waits for Input file to start processing
    3.b. Fully Unattended
No dependency on any external factor
Majorly the Processes which can be performed end to end by the Bot
E.g. : Report download and sharing process
    Summary:
It is important to understand the process and see where it fits well.
Hybrid Automation helps seamless integration of Bot's with the human workforce.
Hybrid Automation also tends to collate with AI processes where certain decisions/process depends on Artificial Intelligence.
Automation Anywhere has brought up the concept of AARI.
    What next?
We would be talking more about Hybrid Automation & the concept of AARI.

Difference between partially unattended and Hybrid automation??

Hi Mohanraj, Partially unattended means bot has some dependency to get triggered (eg file based trigger, where Bot will run on its own once file if placed on certain location)
However Hybrid is Like human and bot are working in correlation, (eg half part of process is done by bot and certain input is required by human and again rest of the process can be done by Bot)
Hope this helps. Please refer video for better and detailed understanding.
