AW is definitely apart of my “growing up” years. I’ve enjoyed watching the episodes about St. Croix. The acting on this soap is fantastic, I just read that AW being filmed in the NY that they always included the Broadway stage actors too. Carole Shelley❤️
Im sorry, but nobody could do Iris like Bevelee Mckinley. I Was heartbroken when she left AW and sadden when I read that Bevelee Mckinley had died. I watched two Soap Operas, AW (favorite) and Guilding Light. Back in the day, these ppl were like family members. Things started to change in the late 90's. I lost interest fast.

So was temp Iris a one off, temp recasting or was a replacement for Beverlee McKinsey?
She was a temp. McKinsey was on vacation. Carole Shelley did a good job playing a neurotic version of iris.

I might argue Shelley was better than Duncan. Not in terms of acting. All are out the park superb. Only in terms of interpretation.
