I began watching Another World at or near the beginning as a child, with my mother. When VCR VHS became available I recorded the show daily to watch when home from work. I returned to visit my mother to see the final episode in 1999. COMING SOON 1980s, 1990s and final episodes clips.
I came here to see Ada. I just love her.

Ada and Rachiel. Two of the most dynamic and powerful characters on this show.
The scene with Mac and Rachel feeding Amanda is a wonderful example of Ms. Wyndham's and Mr. Watson's incredible talents. One can't script what a baby does and they are obviously being allowed to improvise a bit. They seem so natural and at ease and familiar with their characters it seems rehearsed when it couldn't have been. Those 2 were excellent actors.
Roger, thank you for sharing these very nice "Another World" clips, which take me down memory lane! It is sad though that there are not many full episodes available to watch before August 1, 1980.

Does anyone remember the scene with Rachiel and Alice . I think Steve was in prison at that time. Well, Rachiel just let herself in Alice's house and tells Alice to get out . "This house was built for her and Jamie'". The son that you could never give Steve" And lets not for get Auntie Liz who is about to have a stroke. This episode also deals with John Randolph;s death in that fire that Olive started. When Pat (Alice's sister) learns about John;s death, I never heard so much crying and whaling .They just don't make soaps like ANW anymore!

Vicky Wyndham and Doug Watson had such great chemistry together. In fact AW was easily the best acted soap and always seemed to have mote talented actors.

Not sure but I can only let you know that this is converted from an old VHS tape that was originally recorded in 1979 (I believe) and then the owner of the tape made multiple copies of it to sell in the early days of the internet. That is probably why the sound quality is not that consistent.
I wasn't born when Another World was in the time period. But as much as I like Another World pre-1980, I wish there were more clips of other characters but it seems like mostly everything is Mac & Rachel.

I'm still hoping that someone out there has the episode of when actress pamela payton wright aka addie from one life to live was on another world as hazel bad girl hazel so I can compare the 2 characters. And when actress victoria Wyndham who plays rachel was on another favorite soap of mine guiding light as charlotte. Would like 2 compare those 2 characters both AW. And GL. As well as ATWT were my stories . And wouldn't mine seeing the original Janice frame actress victoria thompson played Janice would also like 2 compare her 2 christine jones. Or Lynne deerfeild who originated the role of holly and compare her 2 actress maureen Garrett . Or how's about the original. Mac cory yes I know it's hard 2 believe but there was another actor who played mac before douglass
Its 2 doug credit who made that role so iconic that people seem 2 forget that doug was actually a recast. But would like 2 compare the original actor robert ermheart 2 doug watson.. the original mac did a pretty good horror film called its alive. Not surprised that many AW recast worked AW. Was always good with casting. I even liked new sharlene actress anna Holbrook as well as the original actress laurie heineman who created the role. The list goes on and on . Like. I said another world was superior interns of casting as were my 2 other faves. Both. Guiding light and as the world turns.
Always liked Nancy Frangione as Cecile, Anne Heche as Vicky/Marley,Mary Page Keller as Sally, Irene Dailey as Liz, all recasts.

At one time Rachel scammed members of the Matthew's family for a "trust fund " for baby Jamie and used the cash to move into a beautiful, expensive apartment with a terrace, while Russ was away on a business trip.
At one time Rachel sued Alice Matthews Frame had Alice evicted from the showcase home Steve Frame built for her, so Jamie could live there.
Rachel had been so bad.
Mac Corey's attention, a number of expensive things from Mac, and his love changed Rachel for the better.
The second wedding anniversary present Mac gave Rachel a Rolls Royce, in the driveway of the Corey Mansion because Rachel had explained the dream of a car like that when she was younger, Rachel had Mac return the Rolls Royce, "her dream had changed "

I agree there will never be another show like another world my #1 soap as well as my other 2 faves. Both guiding light and as the world turns or even search for tomorrow. Ryan's hope and loving. There is no more daytime because all of the better soaps especially another world are all gone. Because all of the people of these networks these very lazy lazy lazy people. At nbc or cbs and abc dont want 2 put up the same fight that they do 4 there much more inferior shows like. The young and the restless the stupid bold and the beautiful as well as the very poorly written and very unwatchable general hospital and days of our lives. They cant blame low ratings because those 4 horrendous shows remaining shows are all suffering with the 2 point and 1 point number respectivly. Haha good 4 them daytime just doesnt have those very huge huge numbers that they used 2 have especially back in the 80s. They did it 2 themselves with such terrible dangerous and very offensive stories now an autistic man is the villain being patrayed as evil aka theo on days while the serial killer aka ben a very violent man is the hero. A woman is brutally rape aka laura so what do the phycotic general hospital writers do they have her marry her rapist luke. Meanwhile a violent/murderer thomas is being patrayed as a hero meanwhile his victim stupid dumb ass hope is now his bff. On bold and the beautiful. And on young and the restless anyone who stands up 2 either bullies like victor summer or adam is the villain I guess standing up 2 bullies is considered evil according 2 the 4 soaps left AW GL ATWT as well as SFT. Even RYANS HOPE and LOVING weren't perfect yes the writers on those shows made there mistakes. But they sure as heck weren't this horrendous . Those 4 shows are at the point of no return . I mean really days autistic people are all bad and violent criminals are the super heros. Where is the rage and protesting from the parents of reallife children who are autistic. I bet if hip hop had done this there would be massive demonstrations and all the sponsors would be distancing themselves. Why are these 4 soaps getting a slap on the wrist. ??? Where is the rage I'm not a rap fan but it's clear that a certain genre that is run by mostly white people can get a slap on the wrist while the minute theses rap artist open there mouths all hell breaks loose can you imagine if a rapper patrayed rape the same way that both abc and general hospital did omg. People would be screaming bloody. Murder. I cant wIt untill my father in heaven returns there will be no more daytime and these very sick in the head writers from Y+R. B+B GH.and DAYS will no longer be able 2 tell such disturbing stories and they have the nerve 2 talk about horror writers at least in movies like I spit on your grave or the original mothers day or any other great horror flick women dont fall in love with there rapist. I give some major props 2 the horror genre compared 2 the pro rape pro gun violence pro bullies and pro serial killing soap opera genre. Enjoy daytime while you all can because soon very very soon such very offensive trash filth will no longer exist. Father doesnt like what this world is promoting especially those 4 pieces of shit soaps good riddance . You soap writers from these 4 trashy shows are some very sick sick truly sick and very disturbed people and the late gloria monty was a jack ass. I'm not a soap viewer, but I agree that soaps are pure trash. I occasionally watched portions of "Loving" when it aired on ABC Daytime, particularly a scene in which a guy visited his girlfriend, took off her shoes and rubbed her stocking feet, and I thought that was real sweet.
