Select Muted / inactive notes in the Ableton Piano Roll - So you can delete them or whatever you want (2 Methods to remove the inactive notes).
This is useful when getting overwhelmed with a composition that you have after testing different notes using the mute or inactive note option. At some point you might want to commit to a midi composition. I realize this is very niche but it's really nice to have in the toolbox for me, and I wanted to share it.

Thank you to Dennis Desantis for making a device called Selection filter. Without that device this more simplified device, that I use for my workflow, wouldn't be possible. His website is here: dennisdesantis.com/
Check out his device Selection filter (the device I modified) if you're interested in a more feature rich midi selection device for the Ableton piano roll:

This is a brilliant plugin - so handy, thank you!
...and your 'selection filter' device is going to be an absolute game changer. Super excited to try this out.
Cool yeah I think it is a cool device to have in the toolbox. Let me know if you have any issues with it. It was working fine last I checked it on the latest Ableton build.
HOLY SHIT! Thank you for this. I also come from FL Studio and this is a much missed feature.
If enough people find use in this more simplified version of Selection Filter (by Dennis Desantis) I will post it to the Max website. If you're interested in more midi selection features definitely check out Selection filter. Thanks for watching, let's make some tunes.
WOW Thank You!!!
You're welcome, hopefully it can save you a few minutes when composing and/or help organize your thoughts. At minimum I find this is nice to have around just in case.
