I think after you put the flowers in the toothbrush holder you could then place all of that in another bigger vase or basket and they’ll all stay in place-- love the cheese lid hack too
Yeah and that way you wouldn’t see the holes :) I love that idea! :)
Probably wouldn't hurt to put some pebbles in bottom of vase so it won't be too top heavy & topple.
I was thinking the same thing
The same thing crossed my mind 🙂
I was going to post that and saw that you already had. 😛
I knew about pushing the ends of the foil box holder. The same thing works for wax paper and parchment paper as well as plastic wrap (even though plastic wrap seldom cooperates)
I also knew about putting lemons in a jar of water to preserve them longer. If you have an empty gallon size pickle jar, that will hold a lot of lemons.
Besides denture cleaner, Alka Seltzer also works, especially in the toilet.
Got dull scissors? Cut through aluminum foil to sharpen them. Same for metal punches.
Another way to keep flowers in place is to make a crisscross pattern with tape on the top of a vase. Then you can stick the flower stems in the spaces between the tape.
I love hacks! So glad to see all of them!
Thanks for sharing another great video! ❣️
I've been watching your videos for a while now, and have never commented. Not because I didn't want to! You're a wonderful find here in the web world of plenty 😊. I take care of my adult daughter 24/7, so my time to relax, unwind, and learn is rare. But I had time today to say thanks for all of your creativity! You make a difference in many lives, so again, thank you for sharing your knowledge.🙏✌️💞
You could also use liquid creamer bottles to dispense sugar, salt, etc.
You can remove the outer wrap from liquid coffee mate creamer bottles and re-label them. The bottles are clear so you can see what is in them as well. You could use them for sugar, salt, chocolate chips, or snacks like goldfish crackers or m&ms. 😊
I have also seen them used for taco night for diced tomatoes, onions, peppers, salsa, etc.
I also keep old liquid soap dispensers around when the pumps break. They make really nice bud/single bloom vase. I like to put a large single artificial bloom in them for decor around my home. For instance a single rose, gerbera daisy or hydrangea bloom. 😊
I knew about the foil but never would have thought a parmesean lid could fit on a mason jar, love it.
I use the denture tablets to clean out my husband's coffee thermos. Always amazed at the funk that comes out!
Wow, great idea!!!
I came here to say this also! ;)
I'm going to try this on my stainless steel coffee pot.
I love the lemon storage hack, I'm so going to be using that - I love piccata dishes so having lemons last for a while is genius! I like using the denture cleaner in glass coffee pots, dishes that may have baked-on food like casseroles, and tossing a couple in the toilet bowl right before guests arrive to freshen it up. Caution, do not use them in metal containers, especially stainless steel, they will pit the metal.
totally knew about the foil hack, your saran wrap should have those holes too! AWESOME HACK! when chopping onions or garlic you can remove the smell from your hands immediately by rubbing your hands on your stainless steel faucet! for some reason this works every single time!
The purse magnet attached my purse to my car when I walked past it in the garage; too funny. Very strong!
I love the bean bag cover hack! You can even store your holiday pillows and/or throws. Thanks for the idea ☺️
I thought the same thing.
Liz we have the bean bag in my grandsons room full of his stuffed animals and blankets he’s only 19 months and he loves it to sit on with his books.
I bought the bean bag cover about a year ago for my daughter's stuffed animals & throw blankets. She loves it!
I had a bagnet with my first born 6 years ago! Super handy for the diaper bag, I liked to hang it on the car when buckling kids in. Also good for hook-less bathroom stalls.
That's a totally useful tip 👍
Love the lemon hack. I just discovered you can do the same with avocados to preserve them in the fridge!
With skins on or off?
@@lyncarlisle8915 The entire avocado goes in the water until ready to eat.
Wow I’m going to try this
Congratulations on Woman's Day magazine! Your videos are so professional and full of great ideas and positive energy, you deserve the recognition! I know Delaney is a big part of that success, so congrats to her, too! I just saw that you were in the magazine from a Designed to the Nines video, and thought I would leave a comment here congratulating you, too!
The Mason jar lid is great. I got an old glass o.j. jug from the 70's out of the basement to use for chilled water. The lid was rusted, but a lid from Herdez salsa fit. 👍
I use those lids all the time. They really do work 👍
A newbie here! 😀. I have used the denture tablets in my coffee thermos (stainless steel) over night to remove stains and freshen it up. Thank you for sharing these ideas!
The hack for the lemons was great. I needed that a month ago. Can’t wait to put raspberry’s with the yogurt. My grandkids live raspberries.
I have been using the tip about the denture cleaner and glass for a long time. I generally use it on vases after my live reports have died. It cleans out the film better then anything else I have ever tried.
Thank you for the other tips.
Hi Liz! Love these videos! I knew about the foil hack! Speaking about foil, I found a hack in an book using foil to sharpen dulled scissors! Foil a sheet of foil in half. Folded the width should be a little longer than the blades of the scissors! Start cutting at one end of the foil! Make sure to use the whole length of the blade when cutting! Works every time!
Great tip !!!!!!!! 🤣
I just tried this. Amazing!!!! Thankyou
🤯🤯🤯 With the parmesan lid for the mason jar🤯🤯🤯 I have been searching all over and buying/returning lids and I cannot find one that fits thank you so much Liz! 😆😅
I have used a sugar shaker to put flower stems into the holes in the lid. Really cute.
I knew about the ends of the foil boxes a long time ago but had forgotten. Thanks for reminding me.
The denture cleaner idea works great for tea stains on stoneware. Be careful with the purse magnet, don't let it get near any of your credit cards!
I use clippa instead. Been using it for years. No magnet needed and hooks on just about everything.
Also cleans the toilet bowl
Cool hacks Liz. I found out about the foil hack a while ago, but never knew that before. Love the bagnet, especially in bathrooms that don't have hooks. Also, love the shelf for the stove but that doesn't work for the shape of my stove, wish it was because I love that. Love the blueberry and yogurt idea, that is really cool.
Wow you showed so many things I have never seen . I will be trying several ideas out. I knew about the hole on the side of the foil boxes . The denture cleaner work great to clean the water stains inside the toilet too. Love love the lemon hack. Have a blessed day . 💞
i was today years old when i learned about the cheese lid hack! Excited to use that and the lemon storage hack!
These are the bomb! Especially the lid fitting a Mason jar, the hammer/nail solution but the best of all is how to store 🍋!
I only recently discovered the foil and sandwich wrap hack. Love the bean bag hack and snack idea. All in all a great video.
You always amaze me... I never knew about the foil trick. And the tooth brush holder amazing .. they have so many cute ones now. Thank you so much for being so wonderful.
Thanks so much for the lemon tip! I had to take out my lemon tree, but get home-grown lemons from a good friend. Usually I squeeze them and freeze juice if it's not a time when I'll use them right away. But being able to keep whole lemons longer would be great!
Wow! I would have NEVER known about the Parmesan lid fitting onto the mason jar. And the magnet on the hammer...brilliant idea. I've dropped so many nails while standing up high on the ladder. I have to get down. Then back up. What a pain. I'm going to get that magnet today! Thank you for all the genius ideas❤💕🙏
Great to know about the lemons! I assume it works for limes as well. Also wondering if the denture tablet would work throwing in the dishwasher? Love your channel!
jaw hit the floor about the parmesan lids.. genius! also the aluminum foilll brilliant! i just bought the stove shelf because that is mandatory! thanks so much!
Hi Liz love your videos .
In storing the lemons, I usually bulk buy them wash and zest them I cut the lemons in 1/4 and freeze in a zip lock . I also freeze the zest separately
They last forever .
Oh Liz every time you come on, I always know I will find something new. I look forward to seeing your videos. Keep up the great work 👍!!!
All great hacks. Already knew the foil hack. I like the toothbrush holder hack, but you might need to put rocks or marbles inside for weights. The denture tablets work in toilet bowls too. 💜
Used the tabs in the tb, too!
Works well!
But is it cheaper than using normal toilet cleaner?
@@wplains you can buy a box of tablets at Dollar Tree..
Another fantastic home hack video .. thank you Liz for sharing x
I would love to share a simple home hack I use to store my freezer bags in I grabbed a Clorox wipes container took off the labels on both ends and added some scrapbooking paper with clear mod podge added the glue to the container placed the scrapbook paper to it let it dry for around 3 to 5 mins then once dried fully add another coat to the outer side of the paper .. and then I take my freezer storage bags without the ziplocks … to store in the container and you can just grab out one when needed and with the loop ring on the lid it helps to keep the bags in place as you pull one out another will come up for next use. And can be stored in your pantry or anywhere you choose.
Let me know if you give it a try ☺️♥️
This would also work for plastic grocery bags
Ok
@@rhondadavis1483 👍😊
@@evelynclark7230 👍😊
I knew about the tabs on the foil and clear wrap too. You're still awesome! I love your hacks!
I had never seen the hack for the foil. I had to pause the video and check It out. It was AWESOME!!! Thanks
Oh my goodness I love these hacks. Did not that about foil. I love that stove shelf. The lemon hack was something I did not know. I have used denture tabs to clean good jewelry. Thank you for sharing. Have a safe blessed week. We love you.😀
I love my stove shelf. It looks clean and works on all types of stoves. Makes an easy grab for my salt, pepper and other spices I use frequently.
Thank u for that mason jar hack i was looking for a shaker for my baking soda i get the really big bag and this will make it easier when cleaning or adding baking soda in washing machine
This was great!
The blueberries and the beanbag are awesome ideas.
I loved the flowers in the toothbrush holder cool idea
Love all your ideas especially the lemon hack. Never knew. Thanks again. 😊
I’ve been using the foil package hack for years…I do that on my cling wrap and parchment rolls too! Never thought to use denture cleaner on glassware. 💡 I’ll have to try that.
The tooth brush holder is a genius idea!
Liz, these were spectacular! I had not heard of any of these great Amazon finds or any of these hacks. Everything was an eye opener!
I knew about the holes on end of wrap boxes. Also about the denture cleaners. Thanks for sharing these hacks.
I knew about the aluminum foil holes in the package but not until I was in my 30s. I was taking a cake decorating class and the teacher told us about it. It saves a lot of frustration when you are trying you grab a piece in a hurry. Have tons of stuffed animals that I just can’t part with. Fantastic ideas. I love hacks and wish I had learned them years ago. Oh the Parmesan lid fitting is like a fantastic gift. I have been putting sugar in Cremona containers. I love the Jar idea much better.. Can’t wait to Tn for your next video.
I was blown away by some of these hacks!! Simply genius 👏 I can't wait to try the toothbrush holder hack and the lemons hack!! Keep the hack videos coming!!! ♥️
The grated cheese top/Mason jar and the hammer & nails magnet hacks are my favorites. Varna White shared the aluminum foil hack on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ several years ago. It also works with wax paper, parchment paper, cling wrap, etc.
Knew about the foil hack. The lemon 🍋 hack was my fav 💛! 🙂
I love your top!!! thanks for all the advice, these are some good hacks 🙂
Yes been married for over 52 years been knowing about aluminum foil taps for that long -- thanks for all your home hacks
Thank you Liz! Great video as usual!
The foil hack is known in commercial kitchens with the large wraps
Great hacks. I used denture tabs to clean my jewelry.. luv the lemon 🍋 hacks.
Some of them I knew but liked the flower ideal, COOL !!!
I love the toothbrush holder hack for florals, genius!!! I wonder if the denture cleaning tablets would clear the tea stains off of my tea pitcher?🤔 I will definitely try it! 😁🤞 Grwat hacks Liz! As always Liz, thank you for sharing your ideas & hacks w/ us! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
I keep denture cleaner on hand all the time even though I don't have dentures. Love the cheese slid on the ball jar. I will remember that one
Love the home hacks!! The ones you featured on this video are all new to me. Thank you!
Thank you, thank you for the lemon hack!! It is painful to throw food away these days!
Liz love these hacks. I do clean my glasses with bicarbsoda and vinegar do great job. I keep my lemons in the freezer. I do juice them than pop them into big icecube holders when it is frozen I transfer them into ziplock bags. Love your pop berry tart. I migh have to buy one because I think it is an instant health snack. 👍👌 opportunity.
I never heard about the foil hack before. Thank you. I will be trying that one soon.
I worked in a dental office for years we used the denture tablets to clean our jewelry works amazing also I love the lemon hack you shared thank you
When I get a bag of lemons I juice them all at once and freeze the juice in ice cube trays. Makes it super easy to pop out and put in my glass of water or in a recipe. Then I take all the peels and infuse them in vinegar for my all purpose cleaner.
I actually did know about the aluminium foil tags on the end of the box! I love these videos please do more I'm loving the blueberry & yogurt pop-up snack 😆
Hello Liz. I Love your hack videos. TSM. Years ago when My Children were young, we did not have much money back in those days and had to get VERY creative with what we had. I used the old toothbrush holders for vases 😊! I still use them in that capacity because I no longer store toothbrushes that way. They have really pretty toothbrush holders at GW as well. Love your channel Liz. I was unaware of the aluminum foil hack. God Bless 😉
Great ideas. The only one I've heard before is the foil box. Loved the video Liz. Thanks.
Wow! I love the lemons hack!💛
Wow, mind blown! I had no idea about those hacks, I especially like that one about the hammer and the magnet.
Love these type of videos! Would you be able to do more using products which are inexpensive?
I especially love the items already have hacks, like foil and lemons!
Thank you!
The mason jar/plastic lid combo is great! I have a whole bag of sugar from Costco and have been thinking of a way to easily dispense without having to dip a spoon in the bag each time.
I’d never heard of the stove shelf before. I don’t need it but think it’s really cool!
🍋😱 Oh, my gosh. Are you serious? You mean I could have been saving my lemons all these years? 😄 That’s incredible. Thank you for these great tips. The more you know.
Love all these ideas! I’ll be trying all of them! 👍❤️🥰
Love the denture cleaner hack and the tooth brush holder too! I drop 1-2 denture cleaner tabs in my toilet at least weekly to keep the rust spots away.
Cheese container top ,hack is crazy!!! Tooth brush holder is great!⚡
I also use denture cleaner to remove tea stains from my ceramic cups. Also knew about the aluminum foil hack. But it's always nice to learn some new hacks!
Great hacks thanks. Hammer magnet was my favorite!, I have used denture cleaner for years to clean my jewelry.
I have flower stems in a toothbrush holder and have for many years. The denture cleaner tablets is a great hack!!
Thank you for the lemon 🍋 hack! Omg it's a lifesaver.
Love these hacks. Love the hammer one and that beef bag hack is genius for spare pillows and bedding
You can also use denture cleaner to clean coffee pots. It gets rid of the film coating that coffee leaves on the pot.
Love the bean bag storage hack!!!
I think your bean bag holder is excellent for storing holiday textiles(pillows, etc) instant storing! I know I have enough for 2 pillow/ chairs (Christmas & fall)
I knew about the foil thing before but forgot. Just went to my kitchen and discovered the cling wrap has the same feature. Thanks for the reminder.
The denture tabs work great on vases that have held fresh flowers and are stained around the water line too!
Yes... I use a mason jar for my smoothies and use these lids for them. Stick a straw in and drink up! 👋❤
Very smart hacks Liz. Thank you for sharing this amazing video. Stay safe and bless as always.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of your home hacks!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you ! I see you put the gray DG vases on your coffee table . They look so chic! 😊
Love this video! It's the little things that helps make our life a little easier!!
I knew about the foil hack. You can also use the denture cleaner in your toilet as well. You may have to use 2 of them but it works. I wouldn't use it weekly though, I just use it once a month.
I love your hacks. I use to the denture cleaner tablets hack to remove stains from Tupperware. I also use them to clean our toothbrushes. They kill 99.9% bacteria. Awesome video, thank you so much
I love the bean bag hack! I'll be purchasing one of those for sure!!!
Thank you for the lemon storage hack!
Great hacks Liz....the 🍋 hack I never knew about that one.As always thanks for sharing.
The lemon hack is a new one. I’m definitely going to try it!
Liz I love the pop it yogurt treat. My 7 year old grandson surprised me from Wichita Sat. night, wished I had that little treat surprise for him for us to make together. I will definitely be ready next time he gives me a late night knock on my door. May I ask you a ?, have you done a video on your back peg wall and I have just missed it? I love that back wall and would like to incorporate that in my storage/garden shed I hope to get built this summer. Enjoy your videos, Lynn
Love these hacks Liz! I did NOT know about the parmesan lid on the mason jar!! Thats awesome!! Thank you for that!! I wanted to give you a hack too!!...the denture tabs, you can use to clean the hard to reach places in your travel coffee mug lids! My husband and I have been doing that for years, once a month or so when get a deep glass bowl with warm water drop a couple of tabs in and soak the lids over night....its crazy the stuff thats left in the bowl the next morning!!! EWWWW....LOL...we rinse and wash them after and they are so much cleaner!! Thanks again for the hacks, I love your videos!! ~Amy (Lewes, De)
Do you want to make sure that there’s no smell to the lid before you put it on the mason jar with sugar
I use denture tabs to remove odor from my Contigo coffee travel mugs. I fill the mug with hot water using my Keurig as if making coffee and then drop in a tab. I seal the mug, shake it up, and then turn it upside down and let sit overnight. I do this every day after drinking my coffee. No other method has ever worked for
me. It gets the mug really clean and smelling fresh.
