I love thrifting as a single Mom I learned how to stretch my dollars..my aunt got me into thrifting..and I have a beautiful home designed on a dime...😊 I thrift it all textiles, furniture, dishes and home decor..if its not the right color or material I change it to my liking...so much fun..I have even helped my adult children decorate their homes thrifting 😊
I was brought up shopping thrift stores. My Mom was super frugal bringing up 4 kids on one salary. She did a terrific job stretching that salary.

Liz, our tertiary color in the living room is verdigris. I found a triangular shaped dish from Goodwill and filled it with copper pennies. Copper is our metal used in this room. I LOVE thrifting!

I picked up an old coffee table and turned it into a seat next to my bed footboard, bought a furry rug and placed it over the top!!
Back about four months ago I bought a huge mirror. Too heavy to hang. Beautiful!!!!!!!!! I have it leaning against the wall. It came out of a mansion by the ocean. LOVE IT !!!!!! MARKED Down TO 45 BUCKS. IT Has beveled glass around the edge. I also got some enormous paintings. Unbelievable what you can get at a thrift store. Oh and I agree the furniture IS SOLID WOOD AND CRAZY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Just paint it or whatever!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍☮️☮️☮️☮️💐

I was at my local Goodwill store this morning and I picked up a little wooden ladder for two dollars so I’m probably gonna do something with it for Christmas
They sell patina paint, which would give you the antique look of the inspiration mirror.

i love all your tips but instead of black i paint white and distress with a tad of either gray or black....love your mirror hack . i loved the grey/white basket wowza....instead of painting the top of the table black i would buy the crocodile black print contact paper it does have the grain or also the black wood contact paper its so gorgeous

I’ve been drifting since the 70s. Are used to go to a giant thrift store back then a dress was like a dollar. You could get shorts for $.50. I have a lot of thrift stores in my town. I just don’t find the time.
