When you come to Istanbul, you definitely must taste a good prepared baklava. Istanbul is the city of baklava lovers. It was baked in the Topkapı Palace Kitchens and served for the Ottoman Sultans for centuries.
Chopped hazelnuts, pistachios or walnuts are spread in between the tiny phyllo (yufka) layers, dressed with butter and baked. At last sweetened with syrup (şerbet/sherbet), which is made from sugar, water and lemon juice.
Cost of the Baklava at Köşkeroğlu (August 2018):
20 Lira for the 2 pieces of Baklava (1 Fıstıklı Dürüm, 1 Havuç Dilimi) and 1 glass of çay (Turkish Tea)

Afterwards i walked the narrow streets from Karaköy district to Tophane district. This area became very popular in Istanbul since few years. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and night clubs and attraction all day and all night long!

Wenn Sie nach Istanbul kommen, müssen Sie unbedingt eine gut zubereitete Baklava probieren. Istanbul ist die Stadt der Baklava-Liebhaber. Baklava wurde im Topkapı Palast, in den Küchen gebacken und den osmanischen Sultanen über Jahrhunderte serviert.
Gemahlene Haselnüsse, Pistazien oder Walnüsse werden zwischen den dünnen Schichten des Phyllo Teiges (Yufka) verteilt, mit Butter bestrichen und gebacken. Zum Schluss gesüßt mit Sirup (Şerbet/Scherbet), der aus Zucker, Wasser und Zitronensaft hergestellt wird.
Was hat der Baklava bei Köşkeroğlu gekostet (August 2018):
20 Lira für 2 Stück Baklava (1 Fıstıklı Dürüm, 1 Havuç Dilimi) und 1 Glas çay (türkischer Tee).
Danach ging es weiter durch die engen Gassen von Karaköy bis nach Tophane. Dieses Gebiet wurde in Istanbul in den letzten Jahren sehr populär. Es sind viele Cafés, Restaurants und Nachtclubs vorhanden.
