Another simple but super helpful tip - I can see this applying to my photo equipment too! Thanks again Sedge!
No problem!
That worked well with the knuckle busters on my old systainers. I need to try your trick on a few of my drawers and hose attachments. Great tip! Thanks!
Wicked cool !!!!
Heck yesss! I need to do that knuckle buster tip thank you Sedge!!
Any time!
Such a simple and useful tip. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic tips Sedge! Armorall is one of my favorite things. Just learned a few more uses for it!
Great to hear!
Great tip. I have been in the Festool game so long I have a number of the old systainers. Thanks so much from Perth Australia.
You are so welcome!
Thanks Sedge I absolutely love your quick Tips videos. Keep them coming! Pocono Joe.
ubetcha Joe ...Thanks !!!
Great job showing the benefits of Amoral! I haven’t heard anybody saying nice things about them for years!
👍
The hose attachment to domino is a great tip, always fighting it. Thank you, Sedge
No problem 👍
I agree, DF-500 is a bugger. I’m gonna give that a shot and see what happens.
I have put one of those aluminum bottle openers on my daily key rings set to always have it ready to open the knuckle busters. This is cause for celebration 🎉. Thanks Sedge.👍👍
Glad I could help !!!
Thanks always interesting tips.
My pleasure!
Thanks for sharing! going to try it.
Hope you like it!
This is very correct if we want it to serve us well and last a long time. The complete tool should be cleaned and kept tidy.
Yep !!
As much as i paid for these things i should start treating them like a car.😂
LOL
Hi Sedge, yes a brilliant hack never heard of the product here in the UK however found a supplier on EBay so ordered some thanks
Steve
Sounds great!
Hi Sedge
Unfortunately short lived the supplier can’t fulfil my order. So my question is the Gloss version is it the same as the original?
Steve
Great video Sedge, thank you! What do you cleaning the moving metal parts of your festool saws with?
I use this method for cleaning around my shop. czcams.com/video/ebcryYwJewI/video.html
super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
I'll have to try that one. I've always used Renaissance wax for my light buffing.
Stay sharp Sedge -- The Other Warren from Caldwell Idaho
I love Renaissance wax ... I may try that ...Thanks soooo much for the tip Warren !!!!
I'm using wd40 lanolin for the old systainer an makita makpacs, also works a treat. I use the lanolin for rust prevention too.
cool
Sedge, my 8 year old son and I love your videos. He wants to be you for Halloween this year! 😀
wicked cool !!!!!
Hi Sedge I have been using this for over 20 years in the UK and only on my second bottle. Stay sharp from Harrogate Des
Wicked cool Des
Hey Lads, I happened to have some silicone spray. Would that do the job aswell?
Cheers
Great tip as most of my Systainers are knuckle busters!! Thanks!!
You are so welcome!
Gotta ask as I see your Red Sox shirt and shirt with Malden logo. Are you from here. I'm 10 miles north of Boston.
@@sedgetool
Great suggestion. I need to clean up my systainers and wipe down my tools
cool
I have a few of these but as Makita and they're really stiff. I don't have Armour all but I have something similar I'll give it a try
It works with any systainer that is stiff ........
Hey Sedge- I've been needing to clean the rubber grip areas on my T18+3 and ETS EC 150/3 for sometime.. does the ArmorAll work well in cleaning as well as protecting the rubber? I've broken down the rubber on some other rubberized items in the past, however it could have been the materials it was made out of. Someone on the FOG forum once recommended maybe baby wipes, but I've actually got ArmorAll readily available since I use it for my tires and I wondered if that or a similar car detailing cleaner (Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer) would work- that one is also non-greasy and has worked well in my trucks going back the last 12 years I've been using it.
I would try the Armor All ...that's what I use
Any thoughts on how to keep Systainers from yellowing? I presume this is from UV exposure. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
I believe direct sunlight makes the systainers yellow....
@@sedgetool Sedge I agree 110%... as a craftsman I earn my living with my tools. I love quality tools as they make my job easier. I'm a Festool addict (no hope, ever, for the successful outcome w/ a 12 step program for me). I take good care of my equipment...but, my tools do occasionally leave my shop to visit construction sites 🙂 Just wish the Systainers could retain their 'new sys look' for a little bit longer. I'll give the Armor All a try...maybe the UV inhibitors will help. Sorry I keep missing you at JLC New England...maybe this spring...Ryan @ UST&F keeps trying! Best, Andy
Correct. UV is harsh to many plastics. It causes them to oxidize. @@sedgetool
Hydrogen peroxide soak overnight, then outside in full sun the next day.
@@spaceprophecy3458 I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!!!
Sedge, is the US getting the new TXS 12 volt? I can't find any information on it or when/if it's coming to the US.
Not that I am aware of ....
Nice great idea but how do you get it back from oxidated
good question
Nice
Cool
What a great tip, thank you very much !!
Glad it was helpful!
@@sedgetool ordered the stuff, works great!
I use Aerospace 303 with similar results.
cool !! Going to get some to try !!
Sedge! You da man!
awww gee
Awesome … guess the armor all wipes work too ?
sure do !!!
Do you ever get around to using any tools?
do you ever produce any videos ?????
Who knew? Wicked pissah!
Wicked ......
Any alternative suggestion that’s available in Europe?
someone in the comments just mentioned he found it on EBAY ...
Do you know if Amazon will ship it to you?
Just use WD40 Dry Lube or any other silicone spray lubricant / mould release
Linol hand cream or silicone spray ;)
What about WD40 ??
Nooooooooo
Not the original formula, but the Dry Lube / Silicone Specialist would work
What about tranfer 😂
I have heard this over and over through the years and still never have had any ...... That is why there is a disclaimer at the beginning of the video ...🤣
😮 I forgot. CZcams please dont punish me.
OK
Why doesn't Festool just correct the problem so we don't need to buy another product to make their product work easier?
Kinda like a self cleaning car...no need for car washes anymore .....
Grease keeps the world running mate, light grease for teflon/plastics, thick grease for trucks, thick oil for engines... It's everywhere...
