    Thank you for sharing how you use the Organizers and your cabinet construction! I too do something similar with my plumbing kit, keeping the pex crimper next to the pex crimp rings, so that both items are together in one Organizer.

      I have one for plumbing as well. I keep pex tools, spare fittings and things like sink wrenches all in one container so I don't keep rebuying when I can't find it. Works great!

    saw your video come up in my feed last night. Didnt get around to watching it until today. great organization. Love the storage you have. Im already invested in milwaukee containers so ill probably stick with those but the festool systainer sure is nice!

      I am impressed with the Milwaukee pack out containers as well. Organization is a never ending thing, I am always trying to improve it in “in my spare time” and that’s the biggest challenge finding the time!

    I just bought 4 on Friday. I was wondering if they sell extra boxes of varying sizes separately so I can pack out to suit my needs better?

    Don’t know why, but we’re not getting those drawer slides in Europe somehow, really weird… it’s a nice, more affordable, option then the Festool full extension ‘drawers’ which seem more appropriate for systainers with heavy tools

      Update - My Son has successfully 3D printed some you may want to check around if your still looking into them as an option. Also you can check with BOTT to see if they have that component you can purchase from the van build sets.

    so, the systainers are about 12" deep and the sys rails are 13 ¾" deep.... what's up with the extra 1¾"? is there a void in the back of your cabinet? What's the reason for this?

    • @michaelpayne8102
      @michaelpayne8102 Před rokem

      You can cut the rails down to match the Systainers (I’ve done this on a 20’ wall of boxes), the rails are based on Bott’s system for storage (Festool (tools), Tanos (Systainers), Bott (Racking))

      @@michaelpayne8102 I tried that too. I found that 11-⅞" rails in a 12" deep cabinet worked perfectly.

    £504 for 8x of those containers.. really doesn't make sense to me when something like the Stanley Fatmax cost £120 for the same solution..
    I don't have a trade account anywhere, not sure if there is any further discount..

    • @fultonfinewoodworks
      @fultonfinewoodworks Před 2 lety

      The Stanley, Craftsman and Milwaukee containers are cheaper. I have a bunch of the Stanley ones, however for me it’s worth the cost to stay in the same size platform and be able to keep consistent racking sizes in my shop and van. Portability is nice too with the ability to stack with other tool containers. You could do a version of this shelving with other brands of containers also. I really like how the new Festool containers have the drawer slide option, it allows 1/4” spacing maximizing space in a cabinet. I am not aware of any discounts except the “installer set” which offers a discount for buying a collection of systainers.

      @@fultonfinewoodworks Yeah, I'm a DIY newbie - so seeing the cost of these is off putting for me for my setup/budget etc.
      I really like the design and quality.. but not sure why it's such a high price for easy to produce plastic mouldings - other than targeting that part of the market.. ahh well.. Guess I'll keep an eye open for deals online.
      I've the TS55 track saw and RO150. Both awesome machines.

    Hmmmm. 16 3/4” wide. Not so much. Correct measurement per Festool is 16 29/64”. Makes a difference.

    • @fultonfinewoodworks
      @fultonfinewoodworks Před 2 lety +1

      That measurement is for when you are using the drawer hardware, I am not. This measurement has worked great for me. The key is to have some play on each side so it isn't a tight fit going in and out. Easy to put them up.
