Tastes Amazing! I made this dish today. The only thing I didn’t have was fennel powder. This dish is filled with so many flavors. I am not a vegetarian and I would usually want meat with my meals but I did not need it in this dish 😊
Hi Smita! My name is Nada. My neighbors next door are from India., and his mom came to visit him, so I decided to call them over for dinner and I made your Biryani Rice, among other things, It turned out fantastic, I even got a compliment from my guests that I cooked just like they do in India. 🙂 Thank You soo.....much for sharing your recipe. P.S. And I am making it again this weekend.
Ur nonveg recepies are so awesome can't imagine you are vegetarian
I'm a fan of Indian cooking and you're one of my favorite chefs 😄 I cooked this for my family yesterday. I did find that the written method doesn't match the video, so I followed the video and got 10 out of 10 from everyone! It's a simpler method of cooking a biryani and the vegetables used lend themselves very well to this dish. I served it with Reshmi chicken masala, it was sooo delicious 😋 Thank you for sharing this recipe, I will most certainly be cooking this again soon!
my garnish was overly salty, I had no coconut milk & used cream & water, I added too much veg & it atill turned out amazing. This recipe may be foolproof.
It's not a good idea to watch this while you are hungry at work. LOL I am making it for dinner tonight.

That looks amazing. I’ve never tried coconut milk in biryani but today I’m going to make this. It’s only 10am and your making me so hungry!
It happens to me many times going to a restaurant and note find nothing to eat 😒 🤣🤣🤣. I will try this definitely. 😋
You made me hungry 😢😢😢 this recipe looks so wonderful
I'm really glad that you like Kerala food and get them here to share with Malayalees like us ..really love watching your videos !
This is my favorite biryani recipe. Easy & delicious, works everytime. Thank you so much
In Kerala we used to make vegetable biriyani... But we never consume it as such.. most usual combination is chicken kadai (not kadhai chicken which is famous over north India)... And some times with beef kadai too.
In kerala veg biriyani means 'biriyani that didn't cook along with meat', but not necessarily 'you will not eat biriyani with meat'.
Kerala biriyani with rice alone is also very delicious.. I used to buy 'biriyani rice' alone during my school days since it cost less but still taste yummy.
Small thing I want to say that, before starting your cooking tell about ingredients what your using for cooking so that we can note it....
Check in the video description bro
the salty fried onion and cashew topping is so delicious, I want to add it to everything now! I added mullberries instead of raisins and it was absolutely scrumptious, very delicate. Thank you! :)
I cooked it today. Its delicioso de mais. Thank you for sharing.
Love cashew and raisin in rice dish
I tried this . I liked it very much because the masalas are not too spicy, and it is tasty.

Nicely explained. Just a point. It is not "Fasten the Process", but "Hasten the process". One "Fastens" a seat belt. :-)

Excellent. I don’t know why people have the audacity to take out faults unnecessarily. There are a thousand people who make butter chicken in Delhi but each family has a different recipe.
Wow looking so nice
Making it soooon but no need to add Bryani masala? Look yummylicious Madam. Thank you!

It's a mouth watering recipe soooo good😋
its aweful how people can become sometime....wen the intro was already given well why all this criticism.... she said the chef had made it specially for her.... and i wonder how many have gone to Thekady to say so much on a simple biriyani....unbelievable...
jaya85 glad someone mentioned.. I was just reading the comments and thinking the same.. people r so touchy and rude just because being rude doesn't cost anything..
they might have skipped d intro n went directly to d recipe i think.. 😂
I agree
I love vegetarian biryani
simply adding coconut milk cannot be a reason to call this a kerala biriyani. we don't add tomato puree in any of our dishes. but the recipe looks good and lovely presentation
well said Chechi ... tomato puree is not added ...
Anju Rajesh - I'm a malayalee and I choose to use tomato puree instead of tomatoes in my Kerala cooking so that the gravy is smoother. Doesn't make it any less of a Malayalee dish and doesn't alter the taste.
I was telling about the traditional way, how our parents or grandparents did.
***** people change with the times. The ingredient is the same, just in a different form. Doesn't make it any less of a Malayalee dish. That's what I meant. 😊
lol unless whole Kerala makes biryani same way no one can claim this biryani ain't Kerala biryani & the one he or she makes is authentic.
Very tempting....will definitely try.
colourful briyani.. n ur looking cool
just as the video started and telling your experience you were looking like a butterfly.i loved the recipe but frankly speaking id just eat the vegetables curry with the rice or chapati but the briyani looks awesome.keep coming with these nice recipe's. thanks for uploading the
such a pleasing personality. Will definitely try out the yummy recepie
Thank you Smito. I tried this recipe and it was delicious. Mine turned out a little more watery than expected and only used 270ml coconut milk. Your recipe calls for 2 cups - what might be your cup size? Many thanks.
Very nice .... I am going to make for my wife ....! thank you so very much for sharing the same.

I just love ur kerala vegetable biryani☺
I'm watching from the uk, lovely, always looking for good meat free biryani dishes and never found a nice one, i'm vegan, but it's pretty easy to veganise what you have made here - i cannot wait to make it!!
awesome...... beautiful color n spices mix.....
Yummy! Everything looks really good. But draining water from rice? I've never seen rice cooked like that before.
I made this today and it was delicious. Yummmm. Thank you for the recipe.
great recipe . I would love to see vegan recipes where no dairy is used. ...is there such recipes in Indian food?
kimmyjeans2 yep there are ..
You can substitute coconut milk for dairy products. I'd have suggested soy or almond milk but I think they aren't dairy free
I usually just substitute dairy products like ghee with coconut oil and use non-dairy yogurts. The recipes taste great as it's really the spices that make up the flavors. :)
thanks for that info really helpful
Indian food is full of vegan recipes
You are a great teacher.
wow this biryani is just amazing .I definitely try this
