Every interview of Priyanka I watch, it just astonishes me, how can she be so exceptionally good at what she does, absolutely, wonderful.
Also, Anupama Chopra being equally good with the choice of questions. Both the Chopras nailed it!

Exactly. I used to think the same about Kangana too. But nope. Kangana is so repetitive.. To a point u will get bored of listening to the same story or references in almost every interview. While PC.. Even while reffering to the same stuff doesn't make it sound boring.
Such a role model for Indian women.Strong,independent minded and talented lady.She proved women are not confined to one role .

I agree Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has done a whole lot of stuff in the West. She did things on her own terms and that's commendable. What Priyanka has achieved no one has. She chose to break stereotypes in a big and bold way. That is something only she has done.

Hey Anupama, thank you once again for another awesome interview. Having such an interview with Priyanka Chopra must have been an awesome experience. As a resident in the US, I can totally assure you that the phenomenon of Priyanka has definitely turned the tables and now people actually see Indians or Indian movie industry with great respect. One of the great example is the CZcamsr Jaby Koay who reviews Indian movie trailers and now movies too. We as Indians found new excitement in representing our country just because of the sheer confidence that Priyanka and her work gave us. More power to you for capturing the correct essence of her. Way to go PC.
P.S. For people who thinks she is not the first one to feature in TIME, she IS the first to be featured on the TIME over in the US or International edition. Other talented people were featured on Asia editions.
Thanks Amol. I’m glad you enjoyed this conversation. I think Priyanka’s success in the West has altered how Hindi cinema is viewed there. I also use the term Bollywood all the time but after this conversation, I’m slightly more careful :)
You are very welcome and yes I think I too am going to change the syntax of referring our film industry. You are absolutely right about the change in perception of Indian cinema in the west. One more thing I agree with is the hate for "Bagal" word, I didn't know there are many of us who find it weird and really unpleasant. :P

Believe me there are. They may not be in the limelight. They may be nondescript women on the local train in Mumbai or interiors in rural India, but the kind of challenges they live through and overcome makes them a hero in their own way. And then there are plenty who are celebrities in their own way too. Have you heard about the women scientists in ISRO, or Sudha Murty or the young lady Sarpanch who as the village leader transformed the face of a village in the state of Rajasthan? India has hundreds of wonderful and capable women.
Priyanka is soooo well spoken smart and completely silly, I like her for that. I just started watching Quantico and she's one reason this has become my fave show. I cant wait for season 2 in September...

At one point I thought both PC and Kangana are equally talented, fun, intelligent, eloquent, articulate, graceful and inspiring.
But the biggest difference is, Priyanka only exudes positivity. No negetive emotions, no grudges, no shaming, no hatred, no demeaning others.
She only brings positivitiy to her show. And yet inspires big time. That's grace with CLASS.
LESSON. We do not have to carry negetive emotions In order to conquer over people. Speak through your WORK. not by naming and shaming your peers, insulting, blaming, accusing.

I'm North African and i admire Pryianka as much as i love her personality, sass her concern for the state of the world we live in and the dispositions she takes to make a change. And now i discovered a second Chopra who is as amazing as her! This interviewer is BRILLIANT, such a beautiful smile and spirit, you can feel her good vibes through the screen. She is as entertaining as the entertainers. Some of those boring westerners "journalists" should take note. She is the " how to" be a sweetheart be enthusiastic be friendly without being invasive or lick someone's butt for views :) Kuddos to both Chopras y'all are amazing women and make ALL of us women proud🙏❤❤

Ikr! PC's performance clearly outshone Deepika's in Bajirao Mastani. PC is never afraid to speak her mind in interviews and roundtables about serious topics whereas Deepika always deviates from the questions and gives a 'jalebi gol mol' answer and plays safe. She clearly is a star now because of her PR and her relationships in news while Priyanka is a star solely because of her talent and bold choices. There should be clearly no comparision in between the two.

I love the attitude she has! I like that she wants to BE Bond. She seems so down to Earth and it touch with herself. There's no doubt that she can talk to anyone in this world and add valuable input and wisdom to the dialog. I hope she doesn't let American acknowledgement go to he head, because it has no bearing on who she is, nor her overall success..seems like she doesn't. Besides some of her Bollywood films were amazing. I agree that it's not fair to that films foreign to the West get looked at as spin-offs of Western films.

Okay now about PC. What many don't realized what sets her apart is her unapologetic attitude of her talent and success, which very, very limited Indian actors ever done. Oops sorry, I mean Indian female actors. The male actors are always celebrated like they are God walking the earth and that's what makes her different. She got the fire in her belly.
