In this episode, John will share with you a detailed in-depth comparison of the all-new Nama J2 Juicer that is designed to make juicing easier and save you time vs the 3.2" wide feed chute Kuvings EVO820 Whole Slow Juicer Premium that is advertised with the largest feed chute.
First, John will share more about the $80 savings on the Nama J2 and how can get one before they sell out.
Next, John will talk about the operation of each of the juicers, along with each of the manufacturers and the warranty on each juicer. You will learn about the different accessories that are included with each juicer and what tasks the attachments allow you to do.
John will then compare each juicer part-by-part so you can learn how these juicers work the same but are different in some ways. You see close-ups of each of the parts and how they compare on each of the machines. You will also learn more about the wattage and power of the motor base.
You will learn how easy it is to assemble each of the machines and the specific order of the parts and how they need to be lined up. If not properly assembled, the juicer will not turn on. You will also learn how loud in decibels each of these juicers is.
Next, John will juice even amounts of romaine lettuce, celery, and zucchini in each juicer, so you can learn more about the process that you must go thru to juice in each machine. You will learn about precutting produce, and feeding in produce. You will see how long it takes to juice in each juicer and how much yield each juicer makes.
You will then discover the yield that each juicer made and which juicer made more yield. You will also discover what is left in the juicer after juicing and what will need to be cleaned and John's estimation of cleaning time for each machine.
Finally, John will declare the winner of this Juice-off comparison review and share his pick for the best vertical slow juicer that he would recommend for you to buy.
After watching this episode you will know the differences between the Nama J2 and the Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer Premium, and what makes them similar, but how they are different. You will learn how to use each juicer and what needs to be cleaned when you are finished juicing.

I purchased this exact Kuvings last year and I LOVE it. I often juice for 2 -4 hours straight and have never had a problem with my Kuvings overheating or stopping. One of the best things I love about my Kuvings is that I can put a few things in it whole and walk away from it. I like to clean my kitchen or other things while I juice sometimes. As long as I rotate my ingredients when juicing I can put in my produce whole without having to chop up everything…it RARLEY ever stops or clogs the machine. You also have an option to reverse the flow in case it were to clog up. Not having to chop up all your produce is a HUGE time saver especially for folks who juice daily. I also chose this particular Kuvings model over other machines because there are very few parts that come off. I hate losing pieces… or dealing with things breaking… especially plastic. I also love that they give you two filters and I personally love the collection cup with the foam collected screen on top. It’s a fairly quiet machine that not only fits under my kitchen counter but looks nice and performs extremely well.

Completely agree, I love my Evo 820, because you do not spend a lot of time juicing (pre-cut and clean), and have a great juice. The juicing and care of the Nama seems more time consuming.

Overall pretty good comparison except it’s not necessarily fair to say J2 yielded more juice when you probably spilled 5-10% of juice in the Evo. So I’d say yield wise it should have been a tie. The kuvings has the better parts warranty and stronger motor which you didn’t really highlight either.

      @discountjuicers  Před 2 lety +13

I did push most of the juice that spilled back into the container. While the Kuvings has a motor that pulls 40 more watts, I would personally rather have the Nama Motor, It has powered thru everything I have put in, and on the kuvings sometimes so fat root veggies will cause it to stop.

I purchased the Kuvings evo820 series, it’s been great, they provide you tools to clean it. Disassembly and reassembly is a cake. I had a cheaper juicer that was hell to clean and I hated using it. So far the recipes that come with it plus the juicer have gone well above my expectations. I found some less expensive options of this type on Amazon but after reading several reviews I decided against those other brands.
Well worth the money so far!

    Im an appliance freek 😂
I own both ,my j2 burned up in 4 uses ,😞
    Pros n cons
Nama is awesome for fruits and pineapple
But hard items carrots ,well has to be cut up.
Kuvings is a beast ,juices well ,no pulp
Clogs w pineapple unless u chop small,
Beast on carrots ! Celery must be small
Whereas the nama is great w pineapple n celery 🥰.
My nama burned up w carrots n apples
    ,They replaced base .
    Company seems very nice.
So my summary is ,Nama best for fruit , PINEAPPLE ,celery, greens , Namas spout closure is better quality than kuvings.
    Kuvings a variety of all.
    Carrots no issues
    Owned kuvings since 2019
The motor is more powerful imo.
Kuvings juicing auger tends to get stuck a bit ,😞
Both machines have pros n cons
    Kuvings motor is stronger imo.
Kuvings juice has kept up to 4 days ,
Nama is great with citrus n soft fruit.
    Whereas kuvings prefers hard stuff.
Im like John ,i love appliances, each has pros n cons ,each does things a bit different as John stated.nama needs a bit of improvement ,motor wise definitely!
Love the handle in back of kuvings
Nama needs one. Nama is great ,just remember read the manual and chop up the carrots!!! And beets!!
Kuvings needs to work out the issues w celery and pineapple clogs,
And auger being stuck in bowl and l dont care much for reamer that goes on kuvings ,it works great ,it gets water stuck in certain areas of it when washing it.Nama excels w juicing fruits n citrus w no attachment. screen cleans easier with Nama ,
I have also played around with juicing in my vitamix and a bag ,great idea juices were tasty.l own Nama J2 ,Kuvings Evo8,and omega 2013 model ,i would recommend for wheatgrass, pasta ,celery ,leafy stuff.
I do reviews for Google ,i have 6.7 million views,l give honest reviews BUY FROM DISCOUNT JUICERS!
And yes A 5 star rating on John ,Discount Juicers ,ive bought three times from him ,hes a great guy .💓

I love my kuvings 820. I bought it last year. The main thing is how the juice comes out. My auger never got stuck. I've heard that the auger on the nama j2 gets stuck when you tried to take it out to clean. The only reason I believe that people like the nama j2 is that you can walk away. Yes everything has a pros and cons. When he explained it the kuvings wasn't that bad to me. I don't have no problem cleaning it. The nama j2 does have less cleaning .I do admit by comparing it. 🤔 I was going to get the j2 and have both but why do that when you can't tell the difference between the end results. Bottom line for me is that it looked like between 5-7% more from the Nama and over a year of juicing that means a heck of a lot of savings! If you drink 16 oz. of juice a day, that's nearly 400 oz. more each year. That's a lot of fruits and veggies! I started with a Braun 35 or so years ago, had a Champion for years, Breville and then Kuvings. Now I"m awaiting my Nama J2. I love my Kuvings but it can be a beast to disassemble.

Thank you John for this review. This is the comparison I was waiting for. I was about to buy the Kuvings Evo than the new Nama came out. Now I’m leaning towards the Nama J2. But with the Black Friday special going on the Kuvings at 30 percent off, that’s a $180 savings. Would you still go with the Nama J2 as the better of the two?

The Nama produced about 5% more juice, with more pulp. It takes longer to clean and pre-cut with the Nama. With Kuvings, the prep + cleaning takes about 5 minutes. It can also do smoothies and ice creams with different filters. I am very very satisfyied with my Kuvings, and when I see how long it takes to make a juice with the Nama, it does not make me want it instead of my current juicer (the Evo 820). If you have any question about the Evo 820, feel free to ask. (I never had any leakage, but I use the proper item, given by Kuvings with the juicer.)

Now, keep in mind that I have never owned a juicer before but I will say that juicing with the kuvings has been such a breeze, even cleaning too! You do have to cut certain vegetables into smaller thinner pieces like carrots but I kid you not, to make about 16oz of juice it literally takes me no more than five mins. It has been one of the best investments, my whole family loves the juices I make. I highly recommend it. 👍🏻 I haven’t tried the other one, but I heard it’s good as well, I guess it just comes down to personal preferences. Kuvings container is plastic, John uses a different container and this is why he had leakage. Almost no pre-cutting and cleaning time with the Kuvings. I have the Kuvings and when I saw this Nama, I was like, "Why would anyone lose so much time juicing ?" Pre-cut, put in the top container and then wait a long time for it to juice, and then spend a good amount of time cleaning ! Ok, you can leave it while it makes the juice, but is everyday life about reading a book while your juicer runs for too long ? I understand the hype around the Nama, and think it is a great juicer, but between the two, it is a no brainer, the Kuvings will make juicing easier and faster.
