My Hurom 200 just arrived two days ago, i made my first cup of celery juice and felt disappointed, for there were a lot of pulps than i expected. i also watched your video and i agreed with you. However, later that night, l noticed the orange-colored strainer we both used is called coarse strainer There is another black-colored strainer that came with the package called fine strainer. I then made another cup of juice using the black one. it made a huge difference!!! the pulp almost decreased by 70-80%, and the color of the juice looked much clear than the first cup. i had never owned a juicer before, I couldn't compare it to any other brand. Because i saw you used the orange-colored strainer in your video, i thought i should add the fact. I now really like it.

I bought the Hurom 200 and I don't think you are giving it a good review. I have both the J2 and Hurom and I love the Hurom. I get more pulp with the J2. The Hurom holds more and I never have problems with it stopping like I do with the J2. I find it just as quick and never get as much plup as you are showing. Hardly any at all. It is easier to clean than the J2 and I get as much if not more juice from the Hurom. That being said either one is an amazing juicer and after 30 years of juicing these are the most easiest juicers to use

Very easy to assemble czcams.com/users/postUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 disassemble and wash. I had a juicer before and remember how much work was to wash it and how little juice I got for this. So, I was sceptical and that's why I did a good amount of research so I don't get disappointed again. So, I picked the Hamilton-Beach 67608A model and I am glad I did. Now, this is a totally different experience! It is powerful and squeezes every ounce of juice so the pulp is almost dry. It's simple and easy to take it apart for washing. I put a plastic bag in the waste container for less cleaning. I am glad I picked this model as it is smaller in size, but delivers the same power as the larger one.

After serval years watching your videos I do appreciate what you have to offer in the juice world. But, this takes the cake. As a long time juicer myself, I can honestly say I’m a little disappointed with this review. I think the review was a little bit biased for the reason you’re not only promoting the J2, but selling it on your website too. In my opinion, I think the H200 is far better made in terms of workmanship and the materials they used compared to the J2. Fact, the H200 was ahead of it’s time before the J2. And like any juicers with a non metal mesh filters will always produced a higher yield of pulp, which is not a bad thing. Good amount of pulp will provide enough fiber according to the daily allowance. Too many folks are lacking fiber! What’s the big deal to use a strainer for those that desire less pulp?
For me, the metal mesh filters do get clogged and a pain in you know what to clean. I wish you could had demo the clogs in the metal mesh filter after juicing, but you didn’t. I also wish for a demo to show what a pain it is to clean the metal mesh filter. The fact is for those who start juicing with a metal mesh filter ends up getting tired of cleaning and thereby, stops juicing. Also, all slow juicers will have pulp buildups existing from the machine after extracting stringy greens, it is what it is. Yes, the H200 may have a slight smaller pulp container, but I don’t see what is the big deal pausing the juicer to emptying it. Yes, If I was going to only fill the 16 oz container with fruits and veggies, and continue to add more items down the shoot, any pulp container will overfill. The H200 container is designed for the right amount of pulp when juicing correctly. The concept for both J2 and H200 is to mix and watch veggies or fruits into the 16oz basket and close the lid. That simple. Your other video “ czcams.com/video/xjIO-geOlAU/video.html” which contradicts this one that the pulp did buildup around the auger and basket for the J2, and the reason is the metal mesh filter was clogged.
Is the J2 a good juicer? Absolutely. Is the H200 also a good juicer? Absolutely. Just a few differences is the metal mesh filter vs a plastic. Countertop space, H200 wins. Only other exception between the two brands is the J2 can make almond milk far better without a strainer. As for price, the H200 is less money compared to J2 when on sale. Although the H200 sale price is temporary. As of today, the H200 is on sale for $489 compared to the regular price of $550 for the J2 ( J2 rarely goes on sale). And the H200 always goes on sale throughout the year. Yeah, when Hurom does a sale, it beats the J2 price by far. You should had mention that.
My recommendation for anyone new to juicing is to get the Hurom H200, less of a pain to clean vs the metal mesh filter on the J2. And better made. For those long time juicers and dealt with a metal mesh filters, go for the J2. Otherwise, I personally would stay away from any juicer with a metal mesh filters.

Its understandable that you would favor what helps you make a living. Its your review and you get to express your view.
I've spent 2-3 days trying to find the best juicers for health needs. As you noted every juicer has pro's n cons and is a personal decision for your particular need.
I have juiced on n off for 30 yrs. and still have my original commercial grade, centrifugal, Waring juicer. I have replaced 1 part ( I mistakenly put down the disposal, my bad) and also blades needed sharpening. Still works well but definitely not easy clean up. Was just wanting to check out the new improvements made in the juicing industry!
I am a believer in juicing, having come back from stage 4 ovarian cancer, over 30yrs ago!
Medical world nearly did me in with 5 mths of chemo then sending me home saying there was nothing else they could do.
Attribute juicing 3x a day mostly carrot with some additions I would change up (apple celery spinach ect)
Today my search is for another member of my family with cancer.
      The 4th family member
I have introduced to this amazing natural miracle! Other 3, like me are also survivors.
I know this is a long story but I completely am in agreement with you about the benefits for all those looking for hope!!

Every time someone comes over to visit they always want to test it out and are always blown away how slick, quiet, and amazing the juice output it provides. I’ve convinced 3 of my friends to get one especially when they go on sale. The juice is amazingly fresh and you taste every single ingredient you add in. It’s kinda crazy. Wow John I really enjoyed this video.
    Thank you so much.
I have the H200 and really wanted to understand how it performs against the nama. Was considering selling my H200. Was happy to see that it gets 96% of the yield of the nama j2!!!!
I do enjoy the H200 for celery and watermelon and grapefruit, all of which do not fill up the pulp bin. I love the design of the H200. Having said that if I was buying a new one I would certainly consider the j2.
The thing is that when I bought the h200 I somehow complained about the machine as I was new to slow juicing and in the process they ended up sending me two full replacements for the full top assembly. As a result I have no issues in the long term for the parts warranty.
    Honestly great video.
I am fully going to keep my h200 now as I was worried the yield might be significantly less. You alleviated all my worries.
It is super easy to clean, glad you highlighted again the need to scrub with soap.
One of your videos on deep cleaning was so helpful.
I now have the H200 and the tribest blender (with Swedish motor) with the blendtec nut milk bags (wondering which ones you will recommend now that they stoped selling them)
If I were to get one more juicer or replace the H200 I would certainly go for the Sana 727 because the yield of the j2 and quality difference was not enough in my opinion to warrant a change of machine, especially given that I have so many extra parts (2 extra full head sets)....
Glad to see you do such great reviews.
Thank you and keep up the GREAT work.
PS ~ another great point to remember about the H200 is that the juice has zero contact with metal. For medical medium people this can be a great selling point, as well with the Sana 727.... although I do not understand why Medical Medium does not advocate a better juicer like sana 727 and is not aware of vacuum blending juicing...

To some extent, I think you are comparing orange to apple here.
Hurom H200 is not competing with other stainless steel screen juicers as these will always be a little more efficient and a little less pulp. However, after cleaning the stainless steel screen for over 10 years, I am over it. This Hurom H200 save me about about 20 to 30 second cleaning up, not much but enough for me to never go back to the stainless steel screen juicers. I juice about 3 litres everyday which equate to saving 2-3 hours each year and saving a bit of water at the same time.
Therefore, my rule of thumb is the best juicers are the one that you will actually use and when the juicers becomes a chore at cleaning, you will put it on the shelf and not use it.
Happy Juicing everyone and you cannot go wrong as long as you have any masticating juicers over the centrifugal juicers

Jonathan I am a huge fan and admire and respect your phenomenal knowledge and sharing. I have been juicing since 1992 and have several juicers and blenders. I really appreciate Omega and Solostar Juicers. But my original Solostar is a pain to clean eventhough it is the Cadillac of juicers and the quality of juice is excellent. Omega are much simpler to clean. I was gifted the white Hurom which runs at 43 RPM like VSJ843. However vacume blending is no way better than a smoothie from a slow vertical juucer due to the RPM. I have tested this and slow cold pressed smoothies are the best and eclipse the unnecessary inconvenience of a vacume blender. Jonathan I applaud your brilliant analytical skills and knowledge but I experitiantially disagree with you on slow cold pressed smoothies vs vacume blending. I also believe VSJ843 is still the best versatile juucer with slow star second and Sana and Solostar 4 which I .prrefer as the best vertical juucers. I much prefer pulpy juicers to prevent diabetes.

I had a Hurom slow juicer back around 2015/16 and the one thing I didn't like about it was the constant clogging and the difficulty of cleaning because it had the metal mesh sieve that this Nama appears to have. I suspect it helps to limit the amount of pulp, but only at the cost of time I had to dedicate to cleaning it out several times during a juicing process. The new Hurom has a different design that appears to be much easier to clean. To be fair, cleaning should have been part of the comparison.

I bought a Hurom H-AA in 2020.Had to return it pretty quickly as it malfunctioned. They sent me a used one!! It has its issues as well-gets too clogged after just a few pieces. Doesn’t reverse. Will sometimes not take the food as if it’s going backwards but yet doesn’t have reverse. It’s a fight most days. It won’t take much pulp and the auger gets so clogged sometimes I have to stop to clean it after just a small glass of juice. Spent almost $400 two years ago and it would cost me more money to upgrade but lost faith in the brand. It’s different than the one in this video-yet seems like this Hurom has same issue with pulp getting stuck. It takes too much time to dig it out after. I had a Breville for over a decade. Never had an issue with it, but was a pain to clean and juiced too fast causing nutrient loss. Hoping the Nama is better.

This makes me less inclined to buy their product to try which I was actually quite interested in after watching your video. Shame.

Hello John. Do any of the J2 parts like hopper, auger, or screen turn greenish after juicing carrots? I'm not sure if its a pigment from carrots or something else from J2 itself. There's a shiny green color inside the hopper, on auger and black part of the screen, that I notice after juicing carrots. And its kind of waxy and I have to scrub it hard for it come off. I'm new to juicing so maybe this is normal? Also, does the auger ever get stuck to the bottom of hopper after juicing. Thank you

Yes, the ultem plastic will get a green tinge, that can be removed with SOAP and water. (water alone wont do it). It is the pigments from the carrots. It's normal. Now it seems to me that hurom have done something else that you recommend. They have also released the H320 model which looks just like the nama J2 and has a traditional screen.
But one more thing, I decided to gamble and buy the hurom H300 because I am the laziest person there is. And it proves itself. The squeezing is very fast and cleaning under the tap in half a minute you are in a hurry. I forgot what a brush looks like.
It has more pulp, right, but for me the speed of squeezing and the speed of cleaning are important. And in this the H300 is the winner.
