    this was a perfect little class for me. I bought two fineline applicators quite a while ago and really didn't know how to go about using it, so I've been stahling. It looks simple, and that means I'll love it. thanks Carolyn

    Clever use of fine liners. I've been using them only for glues. love it.

    I loved the paint background, great colors. I've just started using the fineline for masking fluid so it was fun to see it used for writing.

    I got some fine line applicator and acrylic ink for Christmas, I like using them so far, the ink can sometimes come out blobby, but I'm making it work.

    Thanks!! This helps! I never tried using them over wet paint. (Well haven’t played much w it really)
    I love doing detailed work with ink pens in paper and want to incorporate it in paintings.
    Now I will try these tips 😁

    I love the fine liners. They are so worth the 10 minutes it takes me to line up those metal tips. lol The finger method you showed does help though. Thanks for your videos. :-)

    thank you for this, is it acceptable to use watered down acrylic craft paints? or liquitex basics paints? or would that be too thick for the tips?

      I'm wondering the same....another artist I watch said she just waters down her acrylics some....I was just hoping this would tell me how much to not waste paint ;) but...guess I'll figure it out :)

    Last time I used that ink I tried to grab the open bottle and instead smacked it at the lovely cream walls! It dripped from 4 feet up to the bottom of the wall🙀🙀

  • @AngelaJonesPoetryStoriesArt

    great information

  • @ibkristykat
    @ibkristykat Před 7 lety

    Yes but what is the ratio of acrylic/craft paint to water to make sure it's watery enough??

    • @CarolynDube
      @CarolynDube  Před 7 lety

      No water was added to the ink. I just used the ink straight out of the jar.

    • @ibkristykat
      @ibkristykat Před 7 lety

      :( i tried to find Airbrush medium to add to my crappy craft paints to make it thin enough to go through the 0.8mm tip of my fineliner... unless you think regular cruddy craft paint will go through a 0.8mm tip which is actually thicker than your tip. (that doesn't sound right. lol) ?? I'm afraid of clogging it up.

    But can you use fine liner pens on dry paint 🤔🤔🤔

    • @Ashleeta777
      @Ashleeta777 Před 4 lety

      Yes, you might want to seal it with something though. I use mod podge just because it's cheap then spray with an acrylic sealer when the piece is done. Especially if in art journal, it protects the pages from sticking together.
