I never saw the need for black gesso ... until now !! It's on my list to purchase -- the colors look amazing !!

I definitely need to get my hands on the clear gesso; I didn't even realise it was in your line until this video!

Always like your videos as they are helpful and you're good at explaining! I love that - "underwear for your art" and the black gesso does really make things pop. TFS xAmy

So glad I saw this video. I was having trouble getting my baby wipe to remove color through a stencil and I just figured out that I forgot to gesso first. Also I have never used black gesso but now that I see how it highlights the color I must get some!

I make my own Gesso and yes it does give added vibrancy to colors. I call it adding ‘teeth’ to painting!

Loved the last technique when you use the stencil to take the paint out of the paper.

I used the black gesso on a paper mache box...looks great, but do I need to seal it or can I just leave it? I plan to attach a needle punch project to the lid.

Do you use a separate brush for just gesso? Or can you use the same brush as with your paints?

Love gesso.... Usually only work with white but I see that the clear would be very useful. Unfortunately I haven't seen that brand in NZ shops so have to go with brands that r in the shops here - and so far it's black and white guess so available
