Taking out a $500,000 life insurance policy on someone is really suspicious to me now. I've seen to many murder mysteries where something like that happens and the person that the life insurance policy is put on ends up dead.
A dangerous time for women is during their Honeymoon/Vacation. The amount of stories you will hear of husbands coming back from vacations without their wives, only to find out they had just recently taken out a life insurance policy on them is WILD.
While I'm usually not one to jump to conclusions, I can't help but believe that the reason he was so hell bent on staying together with her is because he A LEAST had it in the back of his mind to orchestrate an accident to take the insurance money. AT WORST, the AP was in on it too, but once she found out there would be no money windfall involved, she decided to stay with her husband.
I'm inclined to think the latter, since the AP was talking about being in "love" and leaving her husband....so what changed? Besides no marriage and no more life insurance?

I've heard of one guy who tried to do that TWICE. Succeeded the first time, but got caught the second and went down for both murders. Life insurance policies just seem like a bad idea for the murder risk alone.

Holy crap! That 2nd story, poor girl. I watch enough true crime content to know that she's lucky to have lived to tell the tale! A husband or, in this case, fiancé who took out a 500,000.00 life insurance policy, probably had some sinister plots in mind. That made me get goosebumps when she said that.
And the house was already half in his name. As soon as they were married, she would have been poisoned and he would have inherited everything as the husband 🫣

He was going to kill her and put her 6 feet under, get the money, inherit the house, and then marry his married coworker. And you can tell he’s a sociopath, because when 1st married coworker didn’t work out, he just found a new coworker and inserted her into the role. Girlfriend is lucky she’s alive & she needs some intense therapy to learn to NOT be so trusting!!

If he moved her and her kids in, even if his name is on the deed (and it could be removed from it), she has every right to evict the other woman because it is her house, too.
@@jacklow9611 That’s not how it works here in Virginia. If you are invited to live in a home by one of the owners, you have to be given formal written notice to vacate and it’s usually six months, sometimes less, before you can get them out. And it’s the same if you invite someone yourself and then want them out. Even with no formal lease or anything. The cops will not kick them out for you. You have to go through a whole formal process and it takes forever.
I heard a longer version of this story where she says that she found a “wish list” that the fiancée and the married woman had written of what they were going to buy with the insurance money 😬
What on earth possessed her to buy a house with her own money and put her fiance's name on the deed? That last story is how people end up chopped to pieces in a garbage bag.

I regularly make the comment to my husband of 17yrs that he knows he's safe because the only other dudes I'm interested in are fictional characters (Dean Winchester, Seely Booth, Richard Castle, Eliot Spencer, etc)! Still makes him laugh after all these years! Of course, this only works for us because we have trust as the foundation of our relationship and we consistently work to maintain that trust.
I ran an entire Eliot Spencer fan Tumblr in the 2010's!!! :D I'm a Supernatural fan, too (mostly the first few seasons). And who didn't love Richard Castle?? I'm so on board with this. I've even been considering getting back into writing fanfiction because it was so much fun.

The fact that that's how ppl refer to families nowadays makes me never want kids..
The Alucard story was kind of cute. I picture a young couple of parents - she said they have a baby right? And the situation she describes about the rough time, I've seen it dozens of times with young parents. A lot less sleep, having to adapt to new responsibilities, higher financial pressure... let's put it that way, a baby will put your relationship to the test at least through some phases of it in ways you wouldn't be able to imagine as a childless couple. Btw. I do not have kids, that's just my observation about my friends with kids.
Those couples do love each other, but they go through patches where responsibility and the attention the baby needs are so all-encompassing they can easily feel like they're drifting apart a little, losing a bit of their former identity, when really their identity as a couple is just getting reforged and redefined to some degree. Most of the times both suffer during those rough patches, both worry for their relationship, just both have too much mental load to really address it clearly.
Now he found that short story / fictional diary and he got jealous. That's a great sign in this situation. He obviously does feel the insecurity of the rough patch and he does not want his wife to drift away from him. Now he realizes it's basically just about a fictional husbando. So not only does he realize it's not seriously cheating, his wife is still the massive anime nerd he surely fell in love with, and he can laugh at the entire situation. Those guys will be alright.
Now the whole life insurance policy thing is literally straight out of the true crime book and that is frickin SCARY! I’m glad she caught on before something could happen because it’s definitely sketchy that he would put a life insurance claim on her while having an affair. I’ve heard so many true crime stories of a cheating partner claiming life insurance on their spouse for the sole purpose of killing them and collecting it to start a new life with the person they are cheating with. 😮💨🤦🏻♀️
NEVER NEVER NEVER put anyone on the deed to a house UNLESS they are also on the mortgage. They will own 1/2 the house with never paying anything.
Not true, the courts look at who actually paid for the mortgage and upkeep of the home .
At most a person might be awarded 50% of any gained value of property from the day they were added to title or mortgage.
And they would have to qualify to be added to the mortgage.

The second young lady reminded me of me, and when you said you don’t understand how the cheater could cheat on the person paying the bills just got to me.
Because 11 years ago I married a retired schoolteacher that we kid around about being a “cougar” due to the 4 years difference in our age!!!

My ex constantly talked about how all of his ex wives cheated on him, and that I would too. He was still close to his ex girlfriend/common-law wife during the 15 years we were married. He would spend weekends at her house "fixing things" like her car.🤔Meanwhile, my truck needed work but he told me to fix it myself because it's not his truck (except when he borrowed it, often). If I mentioned that he was spending a lot of time at her house he would go ballistic and accuse me of being "insanely jealous". Truth is, I hated having sex with him so I was relieved that he had another "outlet".
After we got married, I found out that not only did they have a joint bank account, he was on the deed to her house! She sued to get him to quit claim on the house, and she cleaned out their bank account so that I had to pay all the bills for awhile. I thought it strange that soon after, she was calling him to come over and "fix" stuff.
When he left me he wouldn't give me a forwarding address, just told me he moved in with a coworker. I knew it was her but I didn't say anything.
As soon as our divorce was final, he dumped her (the woman he'd been with for over 20 years) and married someone 12 years younger than him. It appears that marriage lasted less than a year and she left the state after they split. Smart woman! I have a feeling I'd like her if we ever met to trade horror stories.
Several months after he left me, I started dating a man from my small rural community. My ex had left me with a broken down truck so I needed someone to help me go look for better transportation. We had been friends for awhile, and I enjoyed being treated kindly and being told that I was pretty and smart (never heard that from my ex). Of course, when my ex got wind of that he blew up! "I KNEW you would cheat on me!"🙄
Yeah, months after he left and had told me, "Why don't you do the world a favor and kill yourself?" I had assumed our marriage was over then!

About the fictional character one: growing up, my biggest crushes were fictional characters because no one liked me. Like I was OBSESSED. I made entire worlds of daydreaming about these characters. I started college, and developed a crush on my current boyfriend, and had to get over those other crushes. Now that we are dating, I still feel super guilty about having an entire life with these imaginary people because I was so lonely. Of course I am more in love with my boyfriend than any character, but I still feel guilty and at a loss.
Same! This was my growing up years as well. I'm 50, so for me, it was characters like David from The Lost Boys, Egon from Ghostbusters, Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap, and Fox Mulder from X-Files.

However, that being said, I absolutely drool over Negan in The Walking Dead, because there's something hot about a tall, dark, and handsome bad guy with a sarcastic attitude as well.

I was just curious as to why you said you found him attractive, as I'm sure there are nearly as many reasons as to why he is thought to be attractive (not to say that some might not find him physically attractive, as he isn't exactly that bad looking, and there's no arguing with taste) by so many people who do find him attractive and fantasize about him being with them.
Girl I got fictional crushes for days (Donnie from TMNT, Nightcrawler from X-men Evolution, Ron from Kim Possible etc.) , and it's only in the last couple of years I realized my type is "funny dorks/nerds". I can understand why people find Alucard (Hellsing) attractive, but he just doesn't do it for me, Xander (Buffy) on the other hand.
I hope that the marriage counselors that that one girl went to where her husband and the therapist gaslit her until she thought she was crazy got ripped to shreds like I would’ve pulled up and demanded a refund
As a Murderino, taking out a life insurance policy on someone you're cheating on means one thing: He was going to murder her and keep the cash and the house.
A friend of mine was the subject of several murder attempts by her ex. The last one landed her in the hospital in a three week coma. I told her he probably took out life insurance on her as he was a sketchy character. In any event she divorced him after that last attempt so we will never know for sure.
She put his name on the title name and they might have used his income to qualify for the house. But he did gaslight the heck out of her.
I remember that story. I think she said it took almost a year in court and she finally got the house iirc
