Good idea using the pine cone for dragon scales. I had the idea watching that it's possible large fake fingernails might also work to pull off the dragon scale look. Sycamore seeds (helicopter seeds) might also work for dragonfly wings...Just some alternate ideas.

It's not often I watch a full hour of anyones video, but you had some great ideas and they turned out very nice. I'm currently looking at a candle I have that came in a glass jar and thinkin it could make a nice potion bottle once the candle is burned up. Lovely writing on the hand made label you showed by the way. Hope you are having a great week as well.

You should add a teaspoon of water or baby oil to liquify it a little more so that It can move quicker but flow or you can premix the soap, gel, Karo syrup or baby oil then food coloring and as you add to the bottle, you can put whatever glitter or hidden trinkets inside, then seal off. Great tutorial. Will be adding to my decor this year!
Really enjoyed your ideas, So much better than the other youtube people trying to instruct. Gentle suggestion having been a trainer for years...watch...you guys, ok, you know what, ALRIGHT..repeating phases...I really liked you showing mistakes and experiments. I felt like I was sitting with a friend...on a Friday night . Fun fun fun...great idea about the fluid. Most of the videos showed water or elmer's clear glue, As soon as the video finishes I'm going out after pine cones.

It's hard to pick a favorite but I really like the dragon scales, also the green color of the one elixir, I can't remember which potion but the green one. : )

I think when you said 'improvise' was the point where this video departs from the run of the mill videos. I like using wire and staining and distressing (people too lol!) The thing that is lacking in most of these videos is the bit that I find most enjoyable. ..the bit where you use your imagination and make the items yours. Happily I found this channel and I am sure that your other videos will be just as enjoyable.

So cleaver! I made some potion bottles a few years ago (gave them away) but the insides were either empty or food coloring swirled in them. I love the pine cone idea!!!

Love this, just a suggestion when I have a wax seal I want to do, but it will take too much wax, I sometimes do the seal on wax paper, then when cooled - this way I do several at one time and store in container until I need them, I place a tiny amount of hot glue on project then put the completed seal on top. I always have an assortment of seal and designs ready for use on projects.

These were all great, although I do wish the lighting was a bit better. Overall though, lovely ideas and great use of a pinecone 😊 And I agree, Cooking & Craft Chick is an awesome channel.
Be cool to do a Bottled Dragon's Fire. Use the simple syrup add red food coloring (or whatever) then put in some large metallic red orange and or yellow confetti or glitter. For dramatic effect burn the edges of the Dragon Fire bottle Label. Also you could do it in greens and make bottled Ogre Boogies. My son loves that idea. 💙

Your video inspired me to make dragon scales but I bleached mine instead. This made the ivory color with brown streaks.
Wow, Speak about Mind Blowing...Your Magical Potion Play is one of the Best Videos Ever...TY You Sweet Cali for not speeding the process up , I was able to totally understand each and every step :) I think the longest part would be painting the pine petals.
But once you get them all done, everything goes so fast. ( I have Pine Trees bordering Our property and I have the most Beautiful Big Pine cones just crying to be Magical ) Where do you find those water pellets at ? Are they the same as Water Beads? TYFS Sister of my Heart, You Inspire me so Very Much...wait until Kara & My DD sees these Magical Bottles...Honestly they will Freak-Out with Joy...LOL...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE You a Very BIG Much !!! These are fantastic, can I ask, how long do the solutions last for before they start to deteriorate?
Those blue expanding beads are Orbeez! I have multiple colored ones, and I plan on making them into mermaid eggs!
Also I wouldn't recommend putting them in and then mixing the stuff, or putting them in with anything pointy, because they break really easily when they're expanded.
GREAT WORK!! ..I would be afraid to use anything BUGS would be drawn to, however. Have you tried substituting glycerin for the Karo syrup?

Love these!!! But for the dragonfly wings I wonder what could be used to make longer wings cause they are supposed to look long and slender. Any ideas? You're so talented. Got really inspired from this. 😍
