  • This is a Tutorial of how to create Bottled Memories that look like they are ready to view in any Pensieve. We decided to do Severus Snape's Last Memory given to Harry at his death; but you could make this any person's memory you would like (ex: Tom Riddle, Slughorn, etc). This will be a great prop for your potion collection or next Party!
    You will need:
1 Glass Bottle with a stopper instead of a cork
    Rubbing Alcohol
Metallic Acrylic Paint (I used pearl)
    funnel
Potion label printed on sticker paper (or regular paper and glue) I
used fancy edged scissors, and a small hole punch to give it a
    decorative look.
    silver twine (optional)

Saw a couple of your videos today and I'm hooked! Subscribed immediately! Your DIYs are beautiful and very well executed, yet easy to reproduce and cheap in materials.
I will legit try out a lot of these! I've recently started with a potion collection, so far I've only mixed some water with painting inks and glitter because I do like to keep up appearances that these are "actual potions", but the ones you make are just gorgeous and will be a beautiful addition! Now to find pretty and oddly shaped bottles, they're not easy to find over here...
Though, I'm unsure as to whether I'll be making Snape's last memories... I just love him so much and I think I'll be in mourning for the rest of my life. Snape as well as the late Alan Rickman have meant so much to me since I was a young child, helping me through all kinds of tough moments in life. The head has accepted Alan's death, but the heart is in denial. When it comes to Snape, well... he was fiction to begin with, so I've decided a long time ago to keep him alive in my mind and to give him a happy life :)

Did you use a metallic white paint? The mica that is in the paint is what gives it the swirl effect. If you did and the mica is settled and your alcohol is white instead of clear; carefully without shaking up the mica from the bottom dump out the white alcohol and refill it with new alcohol with the mica on the bottom. This should give you the same effect as mine. I hope that helps.
