That is an AMAZING build. The zoom in details are crisp and clean. That could be used in a film in my opinion.
The most beautiful starship EVER...!! Fantastic job...!! Awesome painting...!! A real ART work...!!
Love the refit Enterprise. So very beautiful.
I built one many years ago. It took a very long time to paint the hull. I did it by hand with 2 different shades of silver. I lost it 20 years ago. Miss it. It looked amazing. But your model looks spectacular with the lights. The detail in the shuttle bay is cool.
I would love to build one again. But I do not think I have the patience to do it. I wish I could have one.
Thank you for the photos of your build.
I have to say this is the most impressive build I have seen on here so far.. I have been looking at builds for over a year now. The lighting is fantastic. Beyond Museum quality standards.
Thats how aztecing SHOULD look, really subtle, some of the decal kits out there make the ships look more like a great big chess board.
This is not just a model, this is a true work of art.
This is Incredible!! The ship is perfect, and the shuttle bay is Amazing!!
Museum quality? More like movie miniature quality. I am gobsmacked by the paint job. Simply gobsmacked.
WELL DONE.
Fantastic work, love the aztecing that was done, lighting was perfect to. 👏👏👏
Gorgeous! Truly a studio quality paint-job.
Incredible.... that aztec and paint....
Good to see that this isn't a lost art (criticising CGI)!
How in hell did this even get THREE dislikes? This is....breath-taking. What an amazing piece of modelwork. "Impressive" doesn't cover it.
This is a masterpiece that belongs in a museum. Amazing job!
I'm not easily blown away, but this is just flat out amazing!!!! This is some seriously fantastic/inspirational artistry & craftsmanship! If you ever decide to part with it, PLEASE let me know, its worth taking out a second mortgage!!!
The result of dedication, patience and temperment...VERY inspiring work & great detail.
This is sooo ILM quality. Well done. It can make a movie.
She's a beautiful ship trek, you did her justice by staying true to the movie model.
Meu DEUS!!!!
Eu sou apaixonado nessa nave!!!!
Lembro de assistir "Jornada nas Estrelas 2: A Ira de Khan" e VIBREI muito na batalha no interior da Nebulosa Mutara!
Essa nave é, na minha opinião, a mais bela de todas as naves da ficção científica!
You have much patience and Mad skills.
Absolutely exquisite work 😮
That paint job is awesome
FANTASTIC! Great job. Thx for sharing :)
WOW! That means A LOT coming from the man who designed her! Thank You very much and Thank You to everyone for the kind comments.
Oh my goodness, that paint job is amazing.
Wow, mind blown...absolutely stunning work. I love it!
Absolutely magnificent
もの凄く丁寧な作業に、愛を、スタトレへの大きな愛情を感じます。
素晴らしいです!
A masterpiece model!
Im honored to see my detail parts at such a masterpiece !
Arthur Pendragon
I Like This Class Best, I Think She's The Most Elegant.
This has always been my favorite Trek ship design.
Beautiful and awesomely good. Love this ship.
*goosebumps* thanks so much for posting!!
Absolutely amazing job. This makes me want to get back into the modeling world.
Awesome work! I'm getting ready to build my second 350 Refit. Great shots of the starship.
Beautiful rendition of the best version of the Enterprise!
Absolutely fantastic.
look at that beautiful iridescent aztecing love it no bloody grey dark panels
I just love the refit Enterprise design. Sleek and sexy. And without "-A" badging. Truely Captain Kirk's ship.
Woooooow. Those panels look like a nightmare to achieve.
Wow!!! stunning masterpiece!!
Wow nice work!! great detail and the open hangarbay makes it almost real
That is gorgeous!!!
Excellent looking....Fantastic job....
Best looking starship ever! Nice work!
Great job, that looks superb. Definitely, to my mind, the best looking Trek ship of them all.
Beautiful iridescent work!
the best painted model i ever see....
MOST impressive job of painting,... VERY close to the original miniature.
That is VERY impressive work, I very much doubt I have either the patience or the skill for it.
Very impressive👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
AWESOME JOB!
Beautiful!
Superb! My favorite build of the 'ol gal to date. The recreation of the Refit paint scheme is fantastic- you even got the iridescent patterns on the B/C decks! Supreme workmanship. Definitely raised the bar and Im looking forward to matching it on my current build of the A - thats the goal anyway :-). Lets see more low-light beauty shots with a star background!
Very impressive!!
Unbelievable detail!!! That was a labor of love and it showed!! How long did it take? But I have to say, you are a master builder and detailer!!!!! Awesome job man!
Amazing work! I haven't even cracked mine open yet.
I am deeply impressed. I hope that my Enterprise will look a little bit like your one.
Incredible model. Awesome paint and detail. Kudos to you! If I could, I would hire you to build me one.
Yow! Nicely done!!
Dude, your Enterprise is beautiful, much better looking than mine.
Beautiful
Wow incredible work you are extremely talented that's probably better than the studio model used in the movies 👍👍👏👏
Fascinating...
I'm pulling together the parts to do this very same model, and am considering doing a 1/350 USS Reliant after... Bought your painting guide, and folks, it is worth the money.
Great details, are there any videos out there that shows the details of the enterprise's bridge inside of a model like how the shuttle bay is done?
I queued up the track for "The Enterprise" from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. It's 5:59 so it would work nicely. You may want to use that instead of the beeps, Hell with the beeps and whistles. It flowed nicely while looking at this model. Excellent job.
Sweet !
Stunning! What did you use for the mounting rod?
Good job
Magnificent plate work! How long did all this take?
In my opinion this is the best design of all the Enterprise versions followed by the original series version. Things got a little to polished and plastic looking after this. The interior shots on next generation look like the crew is in a big luxury hotel, doesnt have a space ship kinda feel.
Yeah, you have to give Mr. Jeffries credit--he certainly created a memorable piece way back then. I do like the Excelsior class, but this...well, what can you say? :D
Really a gorgeous model. Just fantastic. About how many hours went into it?
A beauty.
She's so beautiful, looking at her, even after all these years, still makes me cry.
This is so good , you could use these shots in a feature film with some editing! wow.. where can i buy one off these kits from??
How hard would it be to retract the shuttle bay door? Has anyone ever tried? By the way what an amazing effort. That pearlescent finish looks incredibly realistic.
Hi, I have a quick question for you. I'm currently building this kit and I was wondering what kind of glue you used for the pylons to keep them from falling down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love the model btw. It looks absolutely amazing.
Wow man outstanding work you could make some serious money selling those!!!! In fact I'd like to buy one 🖖🖖🖖
Amazing work. The pearlescent azteking is terrific. My only complaint is that the shuttle and figures inside the shuttle bay seem probably 3 times larger than appropriate for this scale!
The people figures definitely seem to be slightly too big, but not too bad. Certainly not 3 times too big. I think you're getting mixed up with the sizing on the JJprise.
+Ryan Cox Yeah, the JJPrise scaling is way off in regards to that shuttle bay scene. They sacrificed a realistic scale for the sake of drama.
+Ryan Cox If you look at the dry docks scene in TMP with the guy floating upside down near the shuttle bay doors, the scaling is really close to this.
I like this style of nacelles more than the 2009-present version.
I have a question about the paint on the ship. I have the polarlights 1:350 and for the main color on the pylons ect they recommend duck egg blue. I am currently using that color but it's so weak, you can hardly see it with the pearl white paint. I was wondering what color you used because it looks absolutely amazing on your ship. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That model is amazing. I compared that one to the 6 foot scratch built model and the 6 foot one doesn't even come close to the detailing on this one. I would like to know if the aztec paint job was actually done with stencils or if you used the decals? If its the decals it doesn't look like it! Amazing...
Where are the running lights for top and bottom of the saucer?
she will always be the best one of all and any time ever. take that abrams, you four eyed doofus.
Russell...ABSOLUTELY...Abrams has destroyed that franchise for me...
Russell Finley Aye. She's the finest looking ship in Starfleet.
YIPES!
Another killer build! how do you do those Aztecs?
Tommie
Bad ass!
I think from the ship on youtube, the shuttle bay doors are meant to have red lights down centre both sides plus around bottom of doors, yours are missing, but i could be wrong.
@ 3:13 - No, they got it right. its supposed to be painted on red dots/squares. You can also reference ST-5's Shuttle bay scene. This Model when to a private collector who specifically wanted it painted as seen in TMP so everything was researched throughly thats why it looks so damn good.

Truly, way-way cool creation. Your efforts are ILM quality.
One small note -- as you likely have heard from too many of us 'experts' ...
... so, if I may, the '2 CREW' at 3:53 are a tad too tall (as is the Shuttles)... If that was a real Enterprise ... they would be about 15 feet tall minimum. Compare them to the DOUBLE DECKS of the SAUCER or DOCKING BAYS -- or the HUGE GREENHOUSE WINDOWS, etc.
I'll shut up here at this point. And so, be proud -- your Aztec plating is awe inspiring. Your view of the portholes and their interiors were what I've hoped for for decades and not just lights on full.
(Have anyone ever wondered why say, when the Enterprise is in a space battle, Phasers & Photon Torpedoes zapping the hull -- big explosions, people being sucked out into space, etc...... that nobody closes the protective shutters during Red Alert-? Hmmm. lol)
I know -- I know ... it would not look as cool. I'm just sayin' ...
GREAT WORK-!

+MeBeTheDB Considering the Huge energies involved shuttering the windows may not make much of a difference...no doubt the future windows may be just as strong as the hull...some examples exist today already...
Well, remember that Scotty said that a 1" thick pane of transparent aluminum is at least as tough as a 6" pane of plexiglass. And I'm sure the viewports on a starship are thicker, and are reinforced with force fields like the ship's structure.
Revan2908 .... amigo -- you certainly have a point there ... I stand corrected -- same goes for Ese Callum.
I've been seeing this question thru 20-21st Century Eyes and not thinking about the 24th Century (cue echo chamber) ... 'and BEEEE-YOND-!'
Bravo for causing me to reconsider this question.
D.A.
MeBeTheDB I'm only guessing at the thickness of a starship viewport, but I would say it would almost *have* to be reinforced by a forcefield. And we saw Picard demonstrate the use of a force field in ST: First Contact. *That*, on the other hand, I find odd--that they suggested the viewport on the E had no "glass," just a force field. Seems to be that would be a dangerous flaw, should the power get cut in that section when the port is open!
Yeah, Revan ... I almost forgot about the 'force field' instead of glass in their viewports. And 10-4 on what if something happened to the energy ... be they batteries ... or whatever --
I'd hate to leave the Bridge hatch to say a STAR TREK Submarine wide-ass-open and HOPE that the 'force field' would somehow not have even a glitch.
(Think Das Boot ... or any WW2 Sub-based movie ... as they had to do the typical crash dive(s) ...)
Maybe -- since we now have the JJ-Verse now officially called 'The Kelvin (whatever it is)' ... the logic of windows and doors and force-fields might get back to some (forgive the unintended pun) 'Logic' here ...
But then again -- in the 2009 Trek, the 'NERADA' (Romulan bad guy ship) didn't have any stairs and everyone had to do on Olympian Leap from level to level and not break a leg or twist an angle.
All that said -- STAR TREK gave us the Cell Phone and several other things that caused young science loving minds to (again, no pun meant) 'Make It So ...'
Live Long and ... and ... (Line Please-!) lol

I think it is pretty clever that McDonalds has the golden arches on the bridge

I have the Polar Lights NCC-1701-A version. would the light kit be any different on my model ?
It's a beutifull ship you have buildt it like the original studio model star ship enterprise refit.I also will build this model kit with the lightning kit I have bought from your
company.
Love this model! I wonder if anyone has ever attempted to make one with a working retractable shuttle bay door?
someone did and it works pretty good ,i think there a video on here some where
What is an approximate cost for having one built as shown in the video? What is the turnaround time to build after placing an order?
Thank you
Awsome job!Amazed once again.recently came across another Polar Lights build by IanLawrenceModels.surprised to see another of such high quality. You should check him out. Both did great work.
George C, of Time-Slip creations used a copy of an original eight foot prop used in the filming and built molds to reproduce the full size eight foot ship in laid-up fiberglas. The original investment was five thousand dollars per copy, but he is no longer taking new orders. When the last of the original models are shipped out he will no longer offer this item.
Best Enterprise ever. End of story
Yes we do. And all over our Red Shirts (to hide the stains). :-)
prick us do we not bleed trek?
