    Pro tip long extension you can put it through small slot near the headlight so you dont have to use a swivel, also lube the gasket prevent seizing

    Nice video. 👍 Couple tips I would offer.. I usually crack the seal on the filter housing first and loosen it just slightly. I'll let this sit for 5-10 mins and almost never see any drips anymore when pulling the filter and housing out. Then I drain the oil... With my mityvac 🛢️😉. So nice to not have to lift the car for this anymore.
    Also I would mention to slip a phone down to the turbo Inlet when you have the intake off and snap a photo of the compressor wheel. Checking the blades every 3-5k miles with an oil change will help detect if you have any overspin damage from boost leaks.

      Art2Gecko we have a mityvac as well but since most people don’t, we wanted to show people how to do it the traditional way. Thanks for the tips though and thanks for watching the video!

    Another great vid, good production, no shitty music, no nonsense, straight to the point. I, for one, also rub a little bit of fresh oil on the o-ring of such oil filter housings.

    so you are just going let the old dirty oil go back in the sum? as tech I would depressurise the filter first and then drain the oil!

    • @NGENCustomsandPerformance
      @NGENCustomsandPerformance  Před 4 lety

      The amount (if any) that’s left in the oil filter housing is so minimal it’s not going to affect anything. But sure... to maximize every ounce of oil to drain out of the pan then you would release pressure from the oil cap first.
