Thanks for doing the rain conversions. 101st like. Had a spot of good news myself. Rain all day (in Mid December), Friday, then the over night dropped, but only to 30 F (-.5 Celsius). So other than getting bumped around by slush to work, Not too bad.
I automatically do the rain conversions in my head for some reason a lot of people still talk in inches with rain in rural Australia. Not officially of course. Still call timber by inches 4x2 3x2 like that, not your way 2x4. The big number always first. The temperature is exclusively in Celcius everyone uses Celsius when talking about temperature. It will die out, the young people have no idea about imperial measurement. Actually they don't have much idea about anything that is not on their phone. The weather over there is practically tropical. Don't get sunburnt. John
Wow that pasture is looking great. We had tornadoes all around us this week 6 killed in two different towns. No damage here thank the Lord. I hope you get all the rain you want. Merry Christmas from Nashville Tennessee USA
Nashville. The Grand Old Oprey. Always wanted to go there. Thats no good that people were killed. We are well and truly out of trouble as far as the rain is concerned. Any more we get is icing on the cake. John
great to see the farm looking so green.glad to see the cyclone missed you.i know other people got hit by it.a lot forcasting is just pure luck.hope you and pat have a great christmas and new year.all the best.stay safe . gary.
G'day Gary . Hope you and yours have a good Christmas and New Year. We are hoping that the floods are gone and the shops have some stock again before Christmas day. It won't be the end of the world but a few treats would be nice for Christmas. John
A couple of double replies to posts there John. 😉 The Internet stuttering down there too? Dropping out every 10-20 seconds here. TV too going off air pretty regular - the telecommunications infrastructure must be filling up with water everywhere here. 🙄 Not a very bad dose of wind up here at the old humpy but should be a gallon or 2 heading down the gullies to Ingham, Tully, Innisfail and around Cairns and further North! 😱
The Internet is ok we have satellite broadband and so far its been ok. The tv runs off it as well. I see a lot of flood warnings about, most of them minor flooding down our way. John

Nice to know you're safe and had some good precipitation. I wondered how your biochar trials performed. Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2024!
In the heavy rain the wallabies spent there time eating in the old trial. I dont know if it was coincide but they stayed there for three days. John
Nice videos
Thanks. John

I think the storms in Brisbane were worse than Jasper. Although not the flooding. John

Our place is small for an Australian farm. John
Amazing how a bit of water can turn brown into green. A big change in colour from last weeks video.
You wouldn't believe the difference unless you saw it. John
