      M90 is the name of the camo. It's sexy as fuck, but I'm biased. It works well for our primarily dark green evergreen forests.

      I agree, we should have just gone with the CV90 from the get-go, a proven design with many variations with lots of expandability which the Army was looking for, used by many western and Scandinavian countries, and they are built by Bofors and Haglund's which are both well-renowned companies owned by BAE which is a British company. Not an upgrade of an existing design by the south koreans for the Australians, put forward by the Americans and built by the Spanish, now I've got nothing against the countries but I think it's not right for us.

    "Can it refuel on the fly?"
    Is he imagining like a ground version of midair refueling? Refueling the vehicle while a fuel truck drives alongside it? No military force on earth does that with ground vehicles, nor have any expressed any interest in doing it. Refueling on the move makes sense for jets because it's such a complicated operation to land and take off again. Putting a ground vehicle in park while you refuel it and then driving off again isn't hard, so you wouldn't really be saving any time or bypassing any complications by refueling a CV90 while on the move.

    • @rossg4788
      @rossg4788 Před 5 lety +4

      Actually, the USMC and Army can do a tactical roadmarch/vehicle convoy and conduct refueling on the move. This was originally done during WWII.

    How could this be a tank when it has a 35-50mm gun?

    • @inzammodasser
      @inzammodasser Před 5 lety +3

      Tank could mean any tracked vehicle with a gun on it but only carry weapons not infantry, back in ww1 or ww2 there were tanks armed with either heavy machine guns or light cannons. WW2 German panzer 3 tanks were armed with high velocity 50mm guns which knocked out much heavier french tanks armed with bigger guns. I think the army might have a vehicle that can have a 50mm gun that will be used as a scout and light tank support vehicle while the same vehicle sporting a remote turreted 30mm gun which can carry infantry to maneuver support the heavier vehicles.

    • @GlaDi02
      @GlaDi02 Před 5 lety +1

      What for? Sweeds use 40mm autocannon. Dutch use 35mm autocannon. It would fit 50 mm but ammo capacity wouuld be low. The future of CV90 is 40mm telescopic munition.
      And for Anti tank patoons CV 90 with 4-8 Missles. Just like in russian Kornet D with Kornet EM laser-guided missiles with both tandem HEAT and thermobaric variants. This is how tank destroyer looks like in 21st century... www.military-today.com/missiles/kornet_d.htm

      The CV90 is not a tank it is a IFV. These vehicles are not meant to engage tanks but have the capability to defend themselves against them should they require it. These types of IFVs are used by mechanized infantry.
