      say what you like about it but one of the generals in the pentagon war was right during the gulf war more t72 was taken out by Bradley then the m1 abrams sure 3 of them were kill by the t72 but they were caught with pants down due to combat maneuver era by getting to close then intended so that more human era since no ifv at the time or even now can take a hit from mbt and survive in most situation the iraqi tank never had a chance the Bradley with its atgm and advance optics kill any t72 that came in to range before the t72 had any chance to shoot back. Like it or not all the hate we gave the Bradley for having reconnaissance capability and the punch to take out half of dc is what made the Bradley so successful in war it was in in fact Bradley that gave commander such a flexible platform to work with its the first apc that can actually defend itself against an enemy mbt since it can see the enemy before they see him and have enough punch to take them out and honestly if you wanted a simple apc that has good Armour protection from small arms fire the us military still have 5000 m113 and more then 8000 in storage there really no point in making apc with better protection then the m113 since modern tandem charge hand held anti tank solution require top end mbt level of protection and that just unrealistic level of protection that you can demand from apc/ifv the best you can do is have all round small arms/auto cannon fire protection and hard kill system like trophy in combat vehicle like this

      This is redundant! If you look at other IFV like the BMP 3, Lynx, Puma and Ajax from other countries, they have completely immulated what has the Bradley had already done. The Bradley the a pioneer of modern IFV!

    • @panzerkiller4847
      @panzerkiller4847 Před 5 lety +10

      Expect that the BMP 3 was based on the Obyekt 685 light tank prototype with a 100mm gun 2A48-1 from 1975. This vehicle did not enter series production, but the chassis, with a new engine, was used for the next-generation infantry combat vehicle Obyekt 688[6] from A. Blagonravov's design bureau. The Ob. 688 weapons configuration-an externally mounted 30 mm gun and twin Konkurs ATGM launcher-was rejected; instead the new 2K23 armament system was selected. The resulting BMP-3 was developed in the early 1980s and entered service with the Soviet Army officially in 1987. Please end this bullshit about how ever country has been copying American equipment. The Soviets were the first in the regards to making and deploying IFVs with the BMP-1. They have their own philosophy when it comes to IFV's, mainly to cause as much destruction as possible while delivering troops. The Puma is far better then the Bradley will ever be, that is a fact. The Bradley is starting to slowly become inferior due to other nations developing better IFV's, like Russias Kurganets-25. The BMP-3 is better armed than the Bradley. It carries a 100mm cannon and a 30mm autocannons in it's turret. The 100mm gun fires a very effective HE she'll as well as very effective gun launched ATGMS. The Bradley just has a 25mm autocannon and a dual TOW launcher. The BMP is faster than the Bradley by a margin of around 20 kph. It is much lighter at around 18 tons compared to the 27 tons of the Bradley. So tell me how the Russians looked at the Bradley and decided to put a 100mm cannon on it?

    • @Tonius126
      @Tonius126 Před 5 lety

      Bradley was researched in the 60s and entered service in the year 1980. BMP 3 was made in responce to the armament that the Bradley carried, it was not the first but why is it that every country after the Bradley was intered service, they suddenly want to match or even exceed the Bradley's firepower With their own IFV?
      This configuration was pioneered by the Bradley even if you like it or not.

  • @Soulessdeeds

    The Bradley is a good vehicle. It saved lives during Iraq. I was a Bradley mechanic for 15 yrs and did 3 tours to Iraq. I personally recovered destroyed and damaged Bradley's back then. The insurgents got REALLY good at hitting the Bradley's soft spot back then. Which was the fuel cell under the turret with IED's. It got so back that we lost 2 Brads on the same day doing the same mission. With both of them taking IED hits under the turrets. The fuel cell under the turret was a big issue because the hull would collapse up into the fuel cell and cause it to burst sending fuel into the crew area and turret. If it ignited and this did happen at times. Then you had a huge problem. That was the Bradleys biggest problem. If you watch the movie the Pentagon Wars. They even state that the Israelis wouldn't buy the Bradley until the fuel was moved to outside the vehicle for the crews safety. Iraq became the place that made this issue much more obvious. I want to say I am happy this problem might get fixed if they go ahead with the changes listed here with external fuel and ammo storage. But honestly its too little too late for the guys who died because of this crap. I will always be proud of being a Bradley mechanic and being of service to my crews. They were all incredible soldiers who put their lives on the line daily. But as a recovery operator I also know the things I saw during Iraq that will never go away.

Col. I could not identify one from the other. They were both high school graduates and enlisted in the Army. Both took the COCC. When they reached mandatory retirement, both decided to train as barbers. They built a shop for themselves and one of the wives. We were discussing their lives in the Army, how they build their swimming pools and how they share cleaning the barber/hair salon.
    I asked the colonel, why is there a "Bradley Fighting Vehicle" and not "Patton Fighting Vehicle", Bradley was more of an armchair general and a political expediency individual.

The M3A4 is replacing and supplementing the already-in-service M3A3 Bradley fire support vehicle. The vehicle in this video is the M2A4 *IFV* model, which is supposed to carry infantry in the back and then support them by defeating enemy IFV's, light vehicles, light armor, and infantry, a task which the 25mm cannon is well-suited for.

      @Dimetropteryx Před 5 lety

      No, El Presidente spends his people's money on stuff they actually need, like an IFV with a hood that's more than an inch thick.

    I am amazed how Indians live in the US and maintain their Indian names and culture whilst speaking in American accent - pretty much the same in the UK and Canada and yet in Australia they assume names like for instance this guy would be Dave Bajaj or Peter Singh, James Singh etc. Tells you the acceptance and tolerance levels in Australia compared to the rest of the English speaking world.

    • @BigDogCountry
      @BigDogCountry Před 4 lety

      Well, we hate India tech support in the USA. Indians think they speak great English, but nobody can understand the convenience store accent.

    This started as an replacement for the M113, a 12,3 t vehicle carrying 11,
    now it is 32,66 t and carries 6.

    • @Xeonzs
      @Xeonzs Před 5 lety

      Except it has that ability to engage structures and light vehicles with it's main gun and even take out main battle tanks with it's TOW launcher, you are comparing an APC to an IFV, obviously the APC is going to carry more troops as that is it's main purpose, an IFV is also supposed to be able to provide direct fire-support and it can against all ground targets reliably.

    A Little late on this but the 25mm is not going to cut it. The frontal armor is a joke. They pretty much designed a big box of add-on armor.
