- iRobot released a New Roomba 694 that designed for the budget consumer in mind. To keep cost down they went with an older chassis design, but added some unique features like WiFi, better spot clean performance and dirt detection sensor.

They need to bring back the little red comb to clean out the brush bars. Their round comb is useless. Thanks for the review of their products.
Sure no problem, it would of been nice if they had the cleaning brush and the carrying handle that was built into the older Roomba models!!!

I've had it for a week and it's a very viable option (especially when it's on sale for under $200). With my allergies and the fact that I have two shedding dogs, I'm better off with a self-emptying model that doesn't have a bristle brush to maintain. It's a really good model if you don't own pets!

Have you did a diagnostic on roomba692? you can do it. Hold dock the house and clean button and click spot 6 times or 3 times

My old 680 was decent enough, but it was so noisy and suction was actually quite awful. However it lasted around 5 years which is fantastic.

Can you update the Roomba 694 software over Wi-Fi?
Yes as long as the 694 has an App through a Smartphone you can update the software manually or set it up to update automatically.
My roomba is so old the dirt detection sensor looks dirty
Got one for my parents but my dad doesn’t have a smart phone. Will it still work without smart phone?
Yes you can still run the vacuum without a smartphone.
How do you send the J7 home with just the physical button?
I don’t think you can, it has to be done via the App. Holding down the button for 5 seconds actually resets the robot 😞

Can you please let me know how well it collecting dirt from the corners? either 180 or 90 degree angle walls?
It does pretty well since the side brushes are very large.
Can you show how you charge it when the battery is red. Cause I just bought mine and it is not charging
I believe for iRobot there a small plastic panel underneath the robot. It held on by two screws. The battery is plug and play. If not you may need to remove the entire robot top shell.
Does it work with 240 volt charge
I believe so. If not you can buy a step up transformer to convert the voltage.

It ok, if doesn't have the best carpet performance compared to similar priced robot.
