THANK YOU SO MUCH, I could not find ANYONE to tell me how to wear my 1 decoration, 2 medals & 3 ribbon only awards..as a civilian, it sounds like I can wear either all 6 ribbons OR the 3 medals, on the left...I was contemplating the 3 ribbons, with 3 medals below(but they'd be out of order)can't hang them over the ribbons either...so NOW its a hard decision but, what a great video & your book looks like one of a kind AMAZING...Thank you for your service & sacrifices...also, for the answer I needed! God Bless...ALWAYS GRATEFUL❤🇺🇲Best Wishes on your book!

...and you could write an encyclopedia on the Air Medal. Each branch has its own regulations for multiple awards that are dependent on when and where it was served. It is a maze of sometimes confusing regulations.

Any service person or survivor can write the service and get a reissue of medals and ribbons. If you have foreign decorations and want replacements you have to buy them.

I haven't been in the Army since 2005. I recently ordered 2 metals online because I qualified to have them. But it's been so long since I got out of the Army that I forgot the small details about where they go on the jacket. I want to build a display case to display my uniform, and I want to have my metals on the jacket. I tried finding info online, but couldn't find anything. I typed in "Army jacket", but none of them are wearing the kind of metals in this video. If anyone knows where the metals are displayed on the jacket, let me know. What is the distance between them?

Why don't you mention the Soldiers medal? I am an awardee of this and feel that nobody, even the military knows about this.

The Soldier's medal is a big deal. You have every right to be very proud of it. It is awarded for heroism while not in an actual conflict. It comes after the DFC and before the Bronze Star. I will try to do a video on the different Armed Forces versions.

@@veteransmedalsworkshop-moa4376 Two of us were awarded the Soldiers Medal for same event. A soldier in my company (I assumed command the day before) started shooting up the company area in Vietnam. He killed a dog and threatened several other soldiers. His NCO, a SSG and I talked him after being held captive into allowing the medics help him. He was taken away ny MP’s and never saw him again. Late December 1969. Tay Ninh RVN.

Being a Navy veteran it seems like the Army not only has more decorations and medals than the Navy, they seem to award them much more frequently. It seems like every Army guy has a chest full of medals. It wasn't like that in the Navy.

yes, usually there’s an end of tour award for retirement, and then retirement pay based on the number of years of service. Oh yes, and medical care.
