I'm slowly converting my neo collection from bark medium to the kokedai potting method. Here's a little demo for ya. :) Music Credit: Otis McDonald - Phife for Life
I have just purchased my very first Neo and it's a Neofinetia Falcata White. Thank you for making this how to clip as I found it so helpful. Your collection is so beautiful!! We have very little variety her in Australia and not allowed to import plants and organic materials into the country unfortunately. But makes collecting just so much more exciting when something other than the standard pops up.
Great video Trac, ive only just come across this now, I have used this style of potting with net pots for years now and I find it very easy and the kokedai don't collapse. I will be switching back to moss culture as I have been experimenting growing them in coarse stone. Regards Craig Gibbon
Trac, how often do you water them and do you water from the bottom or do you spray them. When do you know it is time to water and feed, do you keep a record. Please would list the site that you purchased them from. Your collection of Vanda falcata is so cool; I just love the unusual. Thank you so much for sharing.
About once a week, I water them. For the moment I'm doing a weakly/weekly fertilizing regimen. I purchased them from various sellers and some were gifted to me by friends. But my collection is largely sourced from Seed Engei. (seed-engei.com)
Solowicky I do run humidifiers whenever I need it, like in the past few days. But generally speaking, where they are, it's quite damp. Thanks for watching as always!
Hi, I just got a young neo and it came with 5 plants all bunched together. The are from about 1 inch to 2 inches tip to tip. Should I pull them apart and make 5 pots or just leave them in a little bunch? Thanks!!
In my opinion, I'd would clump them all together, but only from an aesthetic point of view. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with growing them all separately.
Thanks for the inquiry. The pots were purchased by a friend of friend from a seller in Japan. The neos are purchased through various sellers and some are gifts. But the majority of them were purchased through Seed Engei. (seed-engei.com)
Hi my name is Vicky, I love the miniatures plans so I bought some like yours I would like to ask help from you if I can ☺️ what kind of filter Lizer you are using ?and do you put them in the direct sun?🙏🏽
I just use a very diluted all-purpose fertilizer. Depending on the variety, I do give them direct sun. It's to help bring out the leaves characteristics. I will post a more in-depth video on how I grow my neos soon. Thanks for watching!
I have a pressurized spray that I will use. They will receive the same fertilizer as the rest of my orchids (for the moment, I'm trialing a batch of hydroponic fertilizer that has low concentration NPK for weakly/weekly treatment).
Hi Great video , but it’s very hard to Do, very kind guy off eBay sent me two fans as a present, how kind is that? and some long moss, he recommends you videos, it has been very helpful thank you

This is amazing! Always miss your videos!!! Do you use humidifier for your plants, or you have natural humidity at home?
Solowicky I do run humidifiers whenever I need it, like in the past few days. But generally speaking, where they are, it's quite damp. Thanks for watching as always!
Trac McNguyen Thank you so much for the reply I hope sometime you will make a video about your watering and humidity and light conditions!
Hi, Trac I just started with this style of the Japanese potting. Where do you buy the pots (clay)?
I bought most of them while I was on holiday in Japan.
