Dude we need a part 2 and 3 to this. And need more content like this. Tired of the media asking the same old boring questions to the guys they have answered 1000 times already.
💯
YEP.
Please and Thank You 🤜🏻
Notice how everyone in the video responds openly with a smile. Just the way alex talks to them is so professional. Weird to think he only just started doing this training thing
he walks the walk . they respect him
I was thinking the same thing, often and in other sports the athletes get so defensive and secretive it doesn't usually go like this.
It is amazing how candid they were with him. My take on the smiles is that these guys know they are badasses, show it all the time, and never get to talk about it openly. Their egos liked the rare opportunity to shine light on the machine that they built.
This is more informative then any other video for mx fitness I've ever seen
RC looking like he's ready for a comeback
3x sets of 20 pull ups is insane!!! RC was strong af, and his fitness regime legitimately changed the game in SX and MX. Love hearing from the GOAT and the content is awesome Alex, keep it up! ✌️
Love how Jason was like "In & Out" for post race meal xD
This is very fun to listen to Alex. This stuff isn’t talked about nearly enough. Love it.
This was awsome. Made me realize how weak my workouts are😂
Amature? I told people then, that MX made Football practice seem easy, and no one believes me. 3 mile runs at a heavy pace, not a jog lol, was actually easy. Peddal bike, yea forever it seems. BUT!!! Then I messed up and went heavy. Notice how none say they bench much. I went Bench a tun short reps, and all of a sudden 2 laps I was worn, not the way to go. Why boxers dont look like Body builders lol
Loved the video! Great idea. Keep them coming!
You Martin's are the meaning of Motocross and Supercross. Such a great video. Hope to see more of this fresh type of interviewing.
Great video Alex and all that participated cool to see the family atmosphere with Bose and Short.
Hell yeah love these questions and answers!! keep them coming bro
This is probably the best question and answer session I have seen in this industry. Nice work
This is so good,I like the way they're able to talk about their training without mentioning motorcycling.
Awesome video, i like how everyone was stoked to talk to you
Wow awesome vid troll!!! Keep em coming
Love this! We need more!
Great job Alex! This was really informative.
One of the best You tube videos I have watched. Great content.
This is great content. Thanks Alex.
That was great, Alex. Hope you do more videos soon!
Excellent. You've got access to all the heavy hitters and are a good interviewer. Keep them coming.
Keep the videos rolling great job
Great video! Keep them coming!
Alex asks great questions!! Great job on the interview and making everyone comfortable
One of the coolest videos I’ve watched man, love hearing about the capacity that these guys have! Makes me want to get way better at my cardio
This is such a good video. We need more videos like this one.
Training for my first 1/2 IM and big moto fan, grew up riding and I love this type of content
This is an awesome video. Good job asking new questions Alex
GREAT content dude!!
A great idea to ask this! All the guys looked happy to talk.It sure beats the usual press conference questions😄
This was fantastic Alex. All you guy's are FREAKIN ANIMALS. MOTO-ON ✊✌️💪😉
Alex and AP together is just too awesome!! It would be impossible to be in a bad mood around those guys, they're just too positive, friendly, and likeable!! 😁✌️
This is so informative! I'm always trying to read between the lines of instagram posts from the top guys' gym sessions and work out where their fitness level is at. The Martin brothers have got some sickening running times! I don't thin the 5km times for most of the riders reflect how fit they really are. This makes me want to go out and see where my max is on all of these right now. Great content.
Aaaand subscribed. Good shit AMart. More of this would be cool.
Great video Alex! You chose the right path!
Man, great insight to these athletes. All were very honest answers. 👍🏼
Love love love this. More please.
Jmart is so nutty. Those mile times are bonkers
This was a great video Alex! Thanks
😮 This is some of the best information... On athleticism in motocross.
Surprisingly when it comes to weight lifting, these guys are not as strong as I would’ve thought, but it truly comes down to riding skill and endurance.
Being super strong probably doesnt lend itself well for the sport, dont wanna get too big
Yeah for them it’s about weight to strength ratio/balance and endurance. Then at the top it’s just time on the bike. None them try to be strong really.. it’s just what they have to do for racing at the top.
I know cardio capacity is huge for MX and SX racers but I being a little stronger I don't think would hurt as stronger muscles around certain joints can help prevent certain joint type injuries. I know there needs to be a balance but I would think some muscle mass in critical areas can help some get off injuries.
Motocross is more endurance than strength. Some strength is important however too much muscle just pumps up the muscles with too much blood and you can't ride when you are pumped up. Arm pump is a huge problem for a lot of riders and usually those riders have been strength training.
Lifting weights is boring. Core strength and cardio matter most and lifting weights isn’t the best way to do that. I can’t lift weights as I have too many injuries and it’s not feasible so I stay in shape by working physically for a living and playing hard.
We need several parts of these!
Great content, super interesting to see the fitness needed to compete at that level.
Awesome Vid Alex!
I'm only just getting into actually training off the bike so this was super interesting hearing what the top guys can do. Jonny O doing a marathon after daytona was an absolute animal!
Sooooo cool!!!!
My favorite question was ‘What do eat after a race or training?’ My response is cold beer and anything I don’t have to cook.
GOOD on you Alex!!! About time someone asks real questions about training from the top guys. That shit is always so hidden and that sucks.
That was cool Thanks! BTW, Your brother and Johnny O's skyline Corona climbs on Strava are beast!!!!
Johnny O was a hammerhead. His training regime was incredible. So it is with many MX'ers. Amazing fitness.
this was excellent listening and watching facial expression talking about something different than riding.. very good
Your brothers time up San Juan trail is all time. That’s a level of cardio that people will never know.
Super interesting thank you. MORE PLEASE. Three sets of 20 pill ups! The GOAT
This is wild. Pretty inspirational hey. Like gives you some numbers to kinda work towards.
These were great questions Alex! Always curious about how the guys are training and weekly activities. I totally think they are some of the most fit athletes! What they are doing is no joke!!!
That’s an awesome video! I would be interested to hear about Dungeys personal bests
This is actually cool to see. I was a pro but on the atv gncc side of things but did a lot of the same. 5k’s, 10k’s, 3 sets of 30 pull ups, 50 mile bike rides, but my favorite was being 185lbs and benching 315lb was my record at 18 years old. Now at 40 my knees and shoulders are shot
Build this media. Your good bro keep up the good work.
Sexton.....Lol...!! I just felt like running ...Run forest run... 😆
Thank you Alex for creating and sharing this content. 100 % Respect for you and all the athletes that race. Very cool, interesting and original idea for a video. I've been going to the Spring Creek Pro National every year with my 3 sons since '02 . Your fam. operates a top shelf facility. We love it and appreciate all the work that goes into it. I always stay until late Sunday...early Mon. My biggest workout for fitness is a walk for idk how many miles. But I do it for approximately 20 hours. At Spring Creek MX Park after the Pro Race. I walk the entire track and all of the camping and parking field areas picking up garbage that people leave on the ground. It breaks my heart the way some people disrespect that property. I bring and use my own hefty bags to gather up the trash and they can get quite heavy. The most bags I've filled, lifted and carried in a day was 23. No one ever asked me to or pays me to do this.I do it to show respect and do what I can to help out and hopefully ensure that Milleville will continue to be included in The AMA Pro National Motocross Championship Schedule in the future. I live in upper midwest Wisco and its the only Pro event that I can afford to go see. Its only a 2 hr drive for me. I really wish Pro SX still came to MN.
Any who.....
... The trash bag carrying and lifting combined with all the walking I do from Thursday - Sunday on that Pro race weekend is a hecka good workout.
Hmmm....🤔. Im guessing that not only are mx racers at a very high level of fitness. But also "Motocross fans" are probably more fit and actually participate in the sport they are a fan of. VS other sports such as Nascar, boxing, baseball etc.
✌️n♥
T.L.E.
This was very interesting!
LOVE this content. Fascinating. When I raced MX (just local level) I also ran to stay in shape; I would do a 10 mile run every year in under 56 minutes, and I could run a mile in 4:42 at that time. But after a little 5 lap moto I was FAR more exhausted than after these runs which in retrospect were pretty decent. Moto is freakin' gnarly in all ways.
That was great!!!! No wonder I never made it past intermediate!
Great vid.
Way cool, awesome job on the vid
Pretty cool. Very cardio heavy of course. O show was a beast
Great questions 🤙🏽🤙🏽
More of this!
Awesome video. As a retired professional triathlete it would be epic to get all these dudes to race against each other in a triathlon someday.
Excellent video.
This is great moto information and content, next video showcase the performance standards.
Please do some follow up videos to this including other pro racers…this was great content
Great content!!!
I'm a trainer and rider. Awesome!!!
Great topic
GREAT video! 🤘🏻
Thanks!!
Awesome video definitely somthin new and they are the fittest
Each rider… “My number was ONLY [insert some inane figure]”! I cannot believe how humble these riders were with abilities that would kill a mere mortal! Great video! Hopefully you can continue this trend with other riders (ELI & LaRocco)!
Interesting content. I really would have expected more cycling and lower strength numbers. Motivation to lift more, thanks.
Sexton is a unit
Can you get Ron Lechien on here with a different set of questions? 😊
Great video! O’Show was the man when it came to fitness back in the day.
Jason Anderson you sir are a fucking legend 👊🏻 he basically said I love my life, I’m living and loving it 🙌🏼 flow 💯
Alex… Awesome Video 👍
I’ve watched a couple of videos from your channel. This one got me to subscribe. Great questions. Great interviews with some top motocross dudes. Seriously that was awesome. My best push-ups were done while i was in the ARMY.. 73 straight and 92 push-ups in two minutes (92 in 2min best on base - around 2500 guys-people).
The fact that some of these guys are doing 100 push-ups straight is super freaking impressive. That is really really really really really really good. The only thing I wish you could’ve done is videotape these guys doing the pushups to verify that they were legit pushups.. basically going Down to parallel or just below parallel for their triceps and then full extension up on the upstroke.
I would love to see their version of a push-up.
Assuming that they’re doing strict strict strict push-ups if they can do 100 straight that is freaking phenomenal and I mean absolutely phenomenal.
If they’re cheating at all, then the number means nothing, but if they’re strict then wow massive respect and I mean massive respect for 100+ push-ups straight with no break. 👍
Oshow is another level, L.A. Marathon after racing daytona and flying back from FL to CA. unreal .
Loved it. A longer interview one with O'Show and 6Time would be AWESOME !!
great content,
Great video. I feel fit
Awesome info! The real
Numbers I would
Like to know is power data on the cycle. 20 min power 1 hr power etc coupled with hr data. Maybe even max sprint. That would be awesome I know they will never give that info out. But it would be rad.
great topic here,
J-Mart is a freaking stud athlete!!! Running a 15:56 5k.....averagin 5:08 per mile is INSANE!! Awesome content Alex, keep it up dude! ✌️
Excellent!
Thank you Alex............soooooo good...............I need more...........Moto guys are gnarley 🛵
Wonderful video
Set up a Supercross Crossfit Competition. Get sponsors to donate for a big prize pool.
Heck yeah 💯
That would be very fun to watch
Awesome idea. My money is on Chase.
I'd first start by asking all the guys if they would be interested in competing in the off season. Then go on from there.
Maybe do a CZcams collaboration with Gypsy Tales, Johnny Hopper, ect.
I’m sure you’re so famous. Now you don’t know who I am but my kid lined up next to you since you were five until You went pro and that was a great video! Thank you.
JA kept it Real but loved how real and genuine all the responses were. Nice post!
Loved the video! What kind of calories, carbs, and protein are these guys putting down everyday?
I follow Johnny O on Strava. The dude is a beast!
Great video. 69/70 mile bike rides is weirdly common. And 100 push-ups non stop is insane.
Nice.
How is the offseason prep compared with raceweek?
Excellent
I'm a lifelong ameteur athlete & I'd love to know more about this stuff from the supercross/motocross ultimate athletes: diet, actual workout routines & schedules, and how much rest between racing/training, etc. Thx.
Great video! Wish you would’ve asked what their FTP & W/kg (if they know it).
