Quite honestly, if Steele is back to being the guy we expect when he returns, I'd love to see a piggyback rotation in a couple of spots going Steele, Taillion, Wicks&Assad, Imanaga, and then Brown&Weneski. Have the idea be the the 2 piggyback spots you look for those 2 to go 7-8 innings, no more than 4 each. It would cut the total innings for them and give 2 spots where if they are as effective as desired, the other 6 arms in the pen mostly get a day off with only 1 being needed. Hendricks could take one of the piggyback slots and let either Brown or Assad strictly go pen.
I’d like the idea of wicks and wesneski piggyback. If wicks starts there will be a lot of righties in lineup for wesneski to come in and face. Assad with his movement sitting around 93 then Ben brown coming in pumping 97-98
Dansby needed a good game. On both sides of the ball. Cuz he’s been horrific

I am quite convinced that, excluding Steele while the Cubs may have an abundance of starts, none of them are Aces or number 1's or 2's. They are all 3's at best, 4's or 5's more likely. The Cubs still need an Ace. They don't' have that "It's win day" starter. they will not be able to win a series against a good team that is also trying to win in a must win series.
