I missed the live so I didn't get to tell you this during the interview, but a big factor in why the Hawks subreddit thinks so highly of you is the fact that there used to be a user by the name of u/PerliniTheGOAT. That dude was in every game thread singing your praises and defending your play. He even retired his account once you -retired from- left the NHL (just finished the episode; you didn't retire! wiki led me astray).

You guys have commented several times about the lack of "right" handed defensemen. I learned this about 15 years ago after playing hockey for 20+ years. If you hold a hockey stick correctly, your dominant hand is at the top of the stick. So a "right" defenseman should be a left handed person (left hand at the top of the stick, right down the shaft). So most defensemen play the left side since more people are right handed. Of course many of us growing up in the USA without any training grabbed the stick with our dominant (right) hand on the shaft and never get as powerful a shot off as we should be capable of. I tried to change but at 55, it wasn't going to happen.
this is true... although right handed dominant people shoot both left and right. left handed dominant people (like 98% of southpaws) are right shots and not left shots, ie seth jones. left shots are like 98% right hand dominant, and almost never a left handed dominant person. still take demidov or lindstrom at #2 though.
