Out of all the medication sold in worldwide, it is the anti-inflammation medication that dominate because so many people taking meds for inflammation more than any other conditions. In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the 3 hidden causes of inflammations.
3 Hidden Causes of Inflammation:
1. Cortisol - It is an adrenal hormone and it is supposed to stop inflammation or inhibit inflammatory conditions.
Symptoms of high cortisol:
• Belly fat
• Major inflammation throughout the body
• Sleep problems
• High blood pressure
• Gastric acidity / heartburn
• Lowered immune system
• Excessive thoughts
• Low tolerance to stress
There is a condition called cortisol resistance in which the receptor for cortisol is downgraded - which means it doesn’t receive that well anymore. When you have too much cortisol, it can produce a state where you get a lot of chronic inflammation because you developed the resistance.
Causes of Cortisol Resistance:
• Chronic Stress
• Loneliness
• Losses
• Surgery / Trauma
• Mental Stress
• No Sleep
When you lose the function of your cortisol, you also lose the control of your immune system and become more susceptible to viruses, chronic infections and autoimmune diseases.
2. Chronic Infection - Low cortisol and high susceptibility.
3. Insulin Resistance - It is a condition where you are producing too much insulin - that excess amount causes a lot of inflammation in the body. It is triggered by the high carbohydrate diet and the frequency of eating.

I ❤ him!
Do you know him ???
I was having lots of pain in my joints. I could not sleep from the pain on my body. I diminished the number of carbs and sugar intake and the pain disappeared. Thank you, Dr. Berg.
Superb video!
You hit the nail on the head brother.
Everything you said is true.
I’ve been living this hell for years.
Trauma/stressors=bad.
Multiple trauma/stressors=very bad.
Replaying trauma mentally=slow death.
Increase stress(fight or flight)= increase cortisol.
Increase cortisol=decrease immune.
When you think about your trauma daily, your cortisol stays elevated and your immune system is wiped out. Your subconscious can’t tell the difference between the actual traumatic event or thinking about it days or years later. It still activates physiological response. Elevated heart rate, cortisol, etc.
Remove stressors=healing!
The key is to remove the stressor by reprogramming the subconscious mind. All the supplements, diet changes, exercises I did was pissing in the wind without the reprogramming.
Meditation before bed and upon awakening. Conscious awareness of every moment and every thought throughout your day. Take control of your thoughts and program your body to heal. Tell yourself over and over again,
I am healing. I sleep better. I will no longer relive negative memories. I think positive thoughts all day. The organic food and supplements are nourishing my body. My exercises are making me stronger. I am calm and in control of my body. My cortisol levels are in my control. My immune system is getting stronger with each breath and heartbeat. Flood your mind with positive stimuli. Stay away from social and mainstream media. Change all of your routines. Take control of your thoughts not controlled by your thoughts.
Practice daily.
Practice makes perfect!
It takes time to master a skill.
Believe and you can do it.
Your thoughts become your reality.
What you think, you become!
Peace and blessings
Hey Apocalypse, how are you doing now? I need to practice this.
Dr.Berg reaches levels that only a few experts reach. To be able to explain things to this level of detail is admirable.

Multi Hack for long term limits are so important
I am 62. I was suffering with pain in my feet, knees, and hips. Most especially first thing in the morning. I was literally hobbling from my bed to the next room. About a week ago I started looking at ways to lower carbs, because I had heard that could be part of the problem. I started watching carbs last Saturday, April 10th, and by Tuesday there Is a marked difference in my ability to walk without pain.
Same. Only 3 days by severely cutting carbs. While carbs still make up a good part of my vegetarian diet, by limiting them to after 7 pm, I’m able to walk pain-free first thing in the morning, even though I’m on my feet no less than 14 hours a day.
I’d love to know what kind of carbs you cut out. Bread? Booze? Desserts?
Me, too. Took all most all highly processed carbs like white bread, bagels, white rice, deserts away. Still have some whole grain, but less of these. Upped vegetables, eggs, fish, yogurt. Reduced cheese. Have less stiffness and joint pain and sluggishness with in days.

That’s very true, that giving up sugar, combined with intermittent fasting, and using relaxation techniques to lower the stress levels, are effective at reducing inflammatory conditions. When I went on the keto diet, I lost 30 pounds, my anxiety went away, I was happy again and not stressed out about anything, I had a bright outlook on life, my arthritis went away. My eyesight improved. It was really an unexpected miracle what the keto diet and fasting did for me. It is hard to believe it, until you try it for yourself. We are so accustomed to being in pain, stressed and depressed, that we don’t realize how good life can be.
Im a fitness trainer that focuses on chronic disease and i will say that keto and intermittent fasting are a great combo For me and my clients!👍🏻💪🏻🙏🏻
Great! Thank you so much for sharing!
What would you recommend for someone who does regular weight training workouts in regards to diet? especially protein? I find that the less protein I have, the less I'm able to lift, but age also contributes. As to fasting, I tend to do 14-16hours on the days I don't train or dance.
I just hope I'm not intolerant to fish as I have developed a horrible array of spots lately, unless plain yoghurts could be causing this and milk? I will be enraged if cheese, butter and fish are the causes as I won't be able to eat anything the way things are going.
a keto diet would sadly be impossible for me due to the highly exhausting workloads I have everyday plus gym training and dances and I only had to drop most refined sugars and reduce carbs to near 100g per day on average before my body started emulating the skeleton syndrome look (ie, I plummeted by over half a stone in about a month and I'm under 10stone now which is not a good look for me being a gym person. I'm skinny enough).
@@dancercj1491if you want to build muscle you have to eat a lot of food (protein) and go heavier on weights because if you don’t go heavier on weights then you won’t grow, the heavier you go the more you’ll grow
@@louiseclynch8735 I appreciate the response, and I have tried going heavier again alongside increasing the protein intake to a degree. My body cannot cope with as much food as when I was younger though, but I have increased some strength and muscle mass recently although I'm still 10stone7 (at 5.8 1/2). Looks like my bench press levels have stalled however and I suddenly developed a painful right shoulder once again due to wear and tear after many years. I feel stronger though than I was and at almost 45, I'm not too bad or unfit really. I try to mix my sessions with a couple of sets of 10 with warm up/intermediate weights then a couple of sets on 4-5reps normally to go the heavier route.
I do dance 3x a week on average though and have a very physical job. My go to food for the most part is definitely protein and moderate carbs with fat, though I have a feeling I'm not very tolerant to dairy.
I stopped taking Relafin and started Curcumin. My inflammation in my body is going down and my joints feel better.
How much do you take dily?
Taking Turmeric with it.
My Doctor recommended 1,000mg prior to breakfast, daily. It is also a blood thinner so care should be taken if anyone is currently prescribed blood thinning agents. Made a huge difference to me also.

I wish I had a doctor like you but sadly most doctors just want to give you painkillers and get you out asap. They don't want to get to the reason of your pain. Just cover your pain with painkillers and they hope that you'll keep coming back so that they can prescribe you more medication and they and big pharma can mint money off our illnesses. Thank you doc. You are much appreciated!!
I’m 71 now and since I was a pre teen I witnessed how the docs just kept giving my mom all kinds of medicines and didn’t help her get better. I haven’t trusted docs since then except two . A doctor of natural medicine who taught me how to eat right and a dentist who made no money on me though I needed braces. He taught my mom how to make my teeth straight without braces . I was the envy of my classmates at school . But now I am so glad to find a good doctor that I can trust and that’s You , Dr. Berg ! Thanks so very much for your humility and honesty in health care and healing !
Pain killers are very rarely given out since 2016 & you have to have a well documented painful condition or disease to get them as well as suffer for sometimes years now before they are given. Instead they now give other meds that don't do anything for pain but will mess you up physically & mentally since they're no longer allowed to treat pain. Please don't demonize pain meds. Sometimes treating the pain is all that can be done.

I would also like to suggest that one of the quickest and most effective ways to lower cortisol released in your body is to do measure and careful breathing techniques are easy to learn. This deactivates sympathetic nervous system and activates the relaxation response or the parasympathetic nervous system. It also retrained the subconscious mind not to react in a fight or flight mode in a situation that does not work. It’s a conscious is just trying to protect the body and the person from what it perceived as a danger which is not necessarily a danger at the current moment. If you have had loss and pain and trauma it is enough to simply acknowledge that that has happened to you in your past and that it is the past and now is now in the future is different and can be hopeful and positive. Self blame is another form of self imposed stress very careful with your thoughts do not feel as though you are responsible for your pain but you are not a victim and you can help yourself right now no matter what’s happening to you. Everything in the body is energy we hold and energy we let energy go and we do this to our conscious decisions to focus here or focus there. Sometimes it’s as simple as realizing what you’re focusing on and intentionally changing your focus and doing some deep breathing exercises. Certainly excess of anything stressful to the body carbs or sugar or overthinking or over worry. However just be aware that there are techniques to lower stress that are equally as effective an offer last introduction to the information if you cannot do what is suggested here for any reason. Take care

Thank you. I’ve been on keto since 12-26-19. Lost 9 lbs so far. And my joint paint is 90% better. Other than weight loss, my main reason was looking to be pain free and I am so happy with this diet. ❤️❤️❤️😊
You are a Godsend for this. Ive been eating right and exercising, low sugar, no gluten for years! But couldnt figure out why I seemed to have aches in fingers from inflammation.Thank you So very much for helping to identify what might be causing my 'later in life' stomach issues. Ive been eating peanut butter for many YEARS at breakfast. Just lately have heard that gentle voice on the inside about it??? And my daughter also mentioned it. You were the 3rd voice or warning that its time to give it up. God Bless you!
I have been doing a Keto diet and fasting, omad, for almost 3 months .I have lost 16kg and am at my goal weight,72kg.Thanks so much for the fantastic info and encouragement I’ve got from your videos.I still have a major sleeping problem.I work a 2 week cycle rotating shift and have had sleep issues for 10+ years.Seeking some help/advice.

I have MCS which affects what I can eat. I also have chronic inflammation throughout my body, been that way for decades. They call it Fibro!! A few months ago I began to fast in a desperate attempt to control the pain.....In 7 weeks I dropped 2 clothing sizes and most of the pain has abated. I still have some pain but I can now get some sleep, I have a long way to go with other symptoms but it proved to me how right Dr.Berg is, I thank him with all my heart.

@@antoniyatreneva1201 - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, CFS is actually a neurological disorders more correctly called ME (Myalgic Encephalitis) WHO ICD-10: G93.3
The disorder also causes immunological and autoimmune symptoms.
By the name Chronic fatigue syndrome, CFS is often misunderstood and mixed up with chronic fatigue which is a cause from many physiologically diseases like heart failure, COL etc
Or it's mistaken for fatigue syndrome, which describes the fatigue of a depressed person.
Remember CFS/ME is NOT a psychiatric disease(!)
Great info and from what I have gathered so far it’s insulin resistance and inflammation the cause of many conditions
Inflammation is the body’s healing process and only occurs under tissue damage.
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing this information in such an accessible way!
The intermittent 18:6 fast has helped me considerably with gout and joint pain in elbows and stiffness. Its been about 90 days and I think I may go another 90 because my workouts have drastically improved. Along with about %85 less daytime fatigue and sex drive is returning.
Dr. Berg...first, thank you for all of the information. I'm binge-watching your videos! I started a KETO diet one week ago. I was having extreme thirst (I'm normally never thirsty) so I looked up what could cause that and I saw diabetes could be the problem. I bought a blood sugar test kit and started testing and my blood sugar was a little over 300. For the past month it was hanging out in the high 100's to mid 200's. After a week of Keto, my blood sugar has been coming down steadily. Today it is 103. I suffer from everything you describe in your videos: inflammation, joint pain, stress, high blood pressure, extremely high heart rate, high cholesterol, fatty liver, depression, brain fog and also asthma. I am hoping that this way of eating will change all of this AND help me to lose the 50 lbs that have been added to my 5'1" frame over the years. I haven't seen anything about asthma so I'm not sure if Keto will help that. By the way - after one week on Keto, my blood pressure has been perfect five days in a row! Again, thank you! -Michele
Dr Berg has said that asthma is vitamin d deficiency. he's got a video on it.
thank you for being the best health teacher
you explained unhealthy fat and processed foods so well, I immediately got off of that poison. I started feeling better that same day. One week in and I'm finally functioning quite well. my blood pressure is stable
I look forward to starting intermittent fasting.
It's good to get the complete picture of cause and effect from one source and that is only possible with of Dr. Berg's great knowledge, thank you.
Brilliant, as always. So clear and concise.
The greatest educator and truth teller! Thank you so much Dr Berg for enlightening us and empowering us!
