OR LIVE BUT I SAW L.B.JAMES PLAY ON T.V.,BUT THIS GUY WAS A MAGICIAN ON THE COURT. FROM WHAT I SEE ON THIS MIX TAPE, HE PERFORMED MAGIC ON THE COURT. HE'S LIKE JULIOUS ERVING TO THE 100TH POWER. YOU CAN SEE WHY HE WAS GREAT BECAUSE HE PUT EVERYTHING INTO HIS GAME. HE'S AS FAST AS A CHEETAH AND TAKES NO PRISONERS. PLAYERS FROM WHAT I SEE DIDN'T WANT TO GUARD HIM BECAUSE IF THEY DID HE WOULD EMBARASS THEM. I BELIEVE BIRD WHEN HE SAID HE NEVER SEEN NOBODY PLAY LIKE HIM. You see a lot of highlights here, but there were just so many more. It was the hype of him having his own shoe, which really wasn't a thing before. His first highlight tape "Come Fly With Me." Seems like no big deal now, but he was the first one to have his own highlight tape. It was crazy. I rewound that so many times not even tracking on the VCR could get it clear. Seeing the global rise in popularity of basketball because of him and then because of the OG Dream Team. There are so many things that he was the originator of, or that happened for the first time, or became a big deal because of him. It was so many things that aren't even in this mix tape. The changed the rules and made it pathetically weak after Jordan retired. Nobody with even half a brain would agree with your assessment on Jordan or the era he played in. It was far more physical and gruelling from whistle to whistle. This was the era of Shaq, Hakeem, Rodman, Pippen, Harper, Stockton, Malone, Ewing and Starks, and yes....Jordan, one of the most dominating defensive players in the history of the NBA.
The teams LeBron lost to were better than Lebron's team. Their stars were arguably better than Lebron to. But ...who cares about ANY of these teams, where the whiny-assed players simply fail to match up to those top three or four Bulls teams.
Pippen was indeed one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Also, the most underrated. But to disparage Jordan of the pre-Pippen era is equally asinine, where Jordan was the team and the team-mates were basically bumbs.
The rules of engagement in the contact game that the Pistons put on the floor and forced Jordan to drive through was on another level. They drove him to this elevated level, as Lambeer noted, because he was so good that he could take it. They had to game Jordan to defeat the Bulls, even as Pippen was coming on strong in his early years, where they analyzed his game and figured out where he shot 'most' of his shots from and took control of the floor at that spot, forcing him to shoot from further out or from other areas, where his shooting percentage was less. When he came inside, they punished him with a wall of elbows, knees, head-bumps, tripping, shoulder vising, and flat out punching. They unwittingly took this great player and force him to become an unstoppable player on a level no NBA player in history would ever come to again. And through all that...he still scored on them at will. Lebron was never forced into that situation or through that Darwinian sieve of "make it or break it" mentality.
Jordan was so gamed that they wrote up "The Jordan Rules" to handle him. Lebron...nope.
I'd take Jordan and Pippen with either Grant or Rodman and Paxson or Kerr and Kukoc over ANY of Lebron's teams or the teams that beat him like a screaming little girl. Those Bulls teams were indeed the JUGGERNAUT of the era and this video simply proves it in spades.

@@siddiqiking9450 I bite and that comment will not get away. About the playoff in 1994 against Knicks, Pippen nearly cost the game by bricking twice until Phil chose Kukoc to score the winning shot at the last second avoiding overtime. Pippen exposed his poor leadership and his own ego by sitting at the bench during the last seconds of play. For that reason, he deserved elimination. Next year, the Bulls under his leadership were on the way of missing the playoff until he went to see MJ.
_Also remember LeBron lost 4 finals against 4 hall of famers one team._
Lebron had Irving and Love as best players. Those losses exposed his poor leadership and his inability to quickly adapt. Worse, he rarely play defence and quit on his team.
_MJ never played against more that 2 at one time._
You forgot the Bad Boys Piston, LA Lakers and the Suns.
      _Also 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 MJ could be Boston , 76ers , Detroit, and Celtics._
      ???
_He struggled until they got old or retired_
His team sucked and were in rebuilding. Not his fault he was drafted in a team full of drug addicts missing playoff for three years in a row.
Detroit, 76ers and Boston were sill competitive. The Bulls were getting better. Add that 89 Bulls were the only team to give a loss to the nearly invicible Bad Boys Pistons who also swept Boston Celtics in that NBA playoff. 90 Bulls improved forcing a game seven to Bad Boys Piston but Pippen bailed out. That Bad Boy Pistons knew they will eventually lose the Bulls got stronger. Those examples debunk that fallacy claim about age factor. In fact, 98 Bulls were the oldest team to win championship, how about that?
Lebron lost to older teams like Marverick and Spurs despite having three superstars on his team in NBA Finals where he was expected to win. Let that sink.
_When MJ , Pippen and Horce Grant played the Portland trail blazers In the finals, all Portland had was Clyde Drexler._
Add the late Cliff Robinson in the mix. That Portland were actually strong so trying to downplay them failed. The Bulls also were the defending champion.

They had an easier time scoring in the 2010s than the 90s. Take a look at Paul Pierce and Chauncey Billups, for example. They took a 5-7% jump in TS% which Paul Pierce carried until he was 37 in 2015 and Billups until he was 35-36 in 2012. Paul Pierce talked about how much easier it was to score after no hand checking which continued throughout his career. It didn't suddenly get super difficult for him through the mid 2010s. Same story with Steve Nash, Tony Parker, Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter. Some of them didn't have quite the jump in TS% as Pierce and Billups but they all scored more efficiently in LeBron's era than Jordan's era, even though they were way past their primes in LeBron's era. The league literally stopped hand checking to give perimeter /wing players a better chance against big men and to get ratings back to 90s levels - the Bulls were the only dynasty without a top big man until the league stopped hand checking.
When the Bulls swept the "old" Pistons in 1991, they were in the midst of going for a 3-peat (their only titles), and their 3 best players and multi-time all-stars Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Rodman were 29, 27, and 29, respectively. Let's not forget the 2011 Mavs that curb-stomped the Heat had Nowitzki, Terry, and Marion as their 3 highest scorers who were 32, 33, and 32 respectively. Oh yeah, Kidd was 37 and was the primary on LeBron in game 4 when Lebron scored 8 points on 3 of 11 shooting. Also, in the 2012 the Celtics pushed the Heat to 7 games despite Pierce, Garnett, and Allen were 34, 35, and 36, Pierce had an MCL sprain, Allen had painful bone spurs, and they lost Jermaine O'Neal and Avery Bradley to season-ending surgeries. Seems like LeBron needed to wait for his nemesis to get old to get over the hump more than Jordan.
So, if LeBron played in such a tougher era, why did all the perimeter players score more efficiently when they were way past their prime in the LeBron era than the Jordan era? And if LeBron's opponents were so much tougher why did his Finals opponents have a worse average record than Jordan's? Oh wait, LeBron beat the 73-win GSW! Except, Steph was still not 100% and struggled with lateral movement from his MCL sprain, Iggy hurt his back and was hobbled the last 2 games of the series, Dray got suspended in game 6, Bogut was injured for the last 2.5 games. You're right, context does help a LOT.

These are my favorite reactions. When youngsters watch without bias. I too was a little bias Jordan's rookie season. Magic Johnson, who I started watching when he was a rookie (1980) was my GOAT. But after I saw what Jordan do to that Celtics team in first round of 1986 playoffs in his second season when he went into the Boston Garden with a cocaine circus squad and blew up for 49 pts. in first game and 63 pts. in second game, I had to admit that Mike was superior. I was fortunate to have watched prime Jordan in person a few times and what my 20/20 vision witnessed is like nothing I had seen before or after him. He'd do some intricate aerial acrobats that I'd have to watch replay on jumbotron just to make sure my eyes didn't deceive me. I have also watched prime Bron in person and he's phenomenal but believe me when I tell you there is no comparison. MJ's bounce, hang-time, mid-air body control, artistry, footwork, quickness (off dribble or jab step) and explosiveness were superior. The guy was jaguar-like with his movements - especially how he would leap so quick, off one or two feet, without much effort and come down so lightly. Simply amazing to watch in person. And the guy's mindset was maniacal. He didn't only want to beat you, he wanted to annihilate you while embarrassing you in front of your wifey, kids and sidepieces. And that's the reason he instilled fear in opponents. His hardwood havoc had foes shook ones like Mobb Deep beats! Heads refer to him as Black Jesus, Black Cat and His Airness but I refer to him as Chupacabra - he who disembowels GOATs.

I was a kid (I was born in 1982) in Jordan's time. I wasn't even a basketball fan but my uncle was. And he was like... watch the Chicago Bulls they are the best team of this era. I watched the full seasons of championships 3, 4, 5 and 6. Those are the only basketball seasons I watched, ever. I was there for Jordan and of course the Bulls but every game I was there to watch him do magic. That's what it felt like, he was a magician and he never disappointed. Every game night, you were sure to see something GREAT.
I watched some games here and there over the years after that. No one ever made MAGIC like that. Maybe Kobe, I really liked to see him play as well. But Jordan back in the day was special.

You’re telling me people at the very top of the NBA didn’t plan it accordingly to have MJ come out last at the 75 greatest ceremony. Of all the positions, of all the players, they knew who needed to come out. And the standing O he go in Cleveland speaks volumes about his Airness

Michael Jordan had the one ability no other player had -
The ability to impose his will on the entire league.
Everyone knew who the Numero Uno was. And if you didn't, he made damn sure you knew that very same game he found out you didn't.
