Dorsey was the gm that drafted Mahomes. Brett V. was a big part of that but can't take full credit for that pick. He also drafted Kelce and Hill. He was a great drafter but one of the worst GM's to handle a salary cap which is why he got canned

Any Chiefs fan over 40 knows how much we deserve Mahomes. We suffered through literally decades of QB's that were good but not good enough to win us a Super Bowl, or flat out garbage. Joe Montana was past his prime when we had him and Trent Green and Alex Smith just wasn't going to get us to the promise land. Every other QB was either average or worse. We were finally rewarded with Mahomes after all those years of suffering.

Lamar is a running back at the quarterback position. Nothing special, plus, there has been better running quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson, Michael Vick, Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cuttingham, John Elway and Brett Farve (to name the ones that come to mind) should also be in the conversation of most exciting quarterbacks to watch. All of these quarterbacks are/were great improvisational quarterbacks. Mahomes and Lamar are both the most exciting to watch currently. Josh Allen is fun to watch too.

We've heard the the three straight third and 10 completions story a thousand times, but if that was Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers or Herbert, we'd never hear the end of the bogus 15 yard roughing the passer penalty and Dee Ford's fingernail across the line of scrimmage negating what would've been a game ending interception instead. The narrative would be completely flipped.
They knew Ford was offsides. He wouldnr have thrown that pass otherwise.

I ain't mad at the choice of Mahomes, but I just remember watching Michael Vick every sunday as a Falcons fan & being absolutely amazed at his ability to escape pass rushers, run past defenders, & have a cannon of a arm. Vick would've been my choice with how he was able to mesh all of that together.

Yep he's just exciting and entertaining...It's such a shame he hasn't been able to be good or successful...*facepalm*...Skip I love you man, but you need to get your head right...look at his completion percentage, his touchdown to interception ratio, his win percentage, his accolades, it is insane...just because nobody else can do it, does not mean it doesn't work for him. It is exciting and entertaining but he is also incredibly successful.
This was actually one of my favorite segments on this show so far, just because I feel like we got some insight into Skip's say of thinking. It's one thing to just pound the table about Brady being the goat and all that, but the reasoning as to why, from playing clutch in big moments to appreciating basic football fundamentals was interesting.
The real eye opener was Smith vs Sanders though. I know he's a Cowboys fan, and I know Smith was incredible in what he did in his career. But Barry Sanders was the greatest to ever play the game IMO. Maybe one of the best athletes in any sport. He just had so many amazing, jaw-dropping runs, that it felt like literally anything could happen when he got the ball. Sure, the Lions sucked, and he wasn't able to drag that team to a Super Bowl. But it didn't matter. There was nobody I would rather watch play the game in their prime than Barry Sanders. But I can respect if someone cares more about the raw, stable production that Emmitt Smith had, and can't say someone suggesting he had a better career was wrong.
Barry Sanders greatest running back ever! Nobody dazzled me more than him at the running back position. He did this playing with no offensive line and a Lions team that was dreadful.
You can't take Skip serious, at one time he thought Tim Tebow was the best quarterback in the NFL.
If I ever want to know what my 90 year old grandpa would have thought about a particular sports topic, I can just tune in and get Skip's take.
Unique greatness should never be measured against the norm. The unique greats are great because they defy convention.

Pat is definitely Box office and the most polarizing player in the NFL besides TB12. Naysayers will watch him just to see him lose or get hurt just like Mayweather or fans in awe of his talent want to watch a good exciting display of skills.

Brady defense saved him many times in all those Superbowls. He's been great, but field goals and interceptions saved his legacy. They wasn't blowing people out in all those games etc.

Who set the field goals up?? Sb 36 a 47 yarder in a tie game, indoors. Should be money. In SB 38 his kicker missedn2 fgs before he made a simple 41 yarder again in a tie game, indoors. In SB 39, they were up 21-14 and were trying to go up 28-14, but got stopped at the 3. Vinatieri literallly kicked a 20 yard fg to make it a 10 pt game. Nothing difficult at all about it. Brady prouduced 4 td passed before that INT. Its not his fault the defense allowed Seattle to easily march down the field.
Brady is who the NFL use for making billion if not trillions of dollar rewards. teams were paid to loss, but late in the 4th once all new/late bets were in. 6 super bowls isn't just from good quarter back leadership.
