Mr Mitchell, in reference to your friends pipe cutters- drop into your local plumbers merchant and you and purchase a cutter that looks the same and does the same job for a fraction of what was paid for blue point tools. Its what's used for cutting the blue poly water pipe.

Fantastic video log. Dave's balance of performing quality work with authentic and/or appropriate replacement parts all the while moving various projects through his shop in a timely manner is quite impressive and very nice to see. There's little doubt it's challenging. Thanks for the update, and looking forward to the next one!

Alex ! I got a chuckle seeing your camo pants and what looks like stubby short legs in the reflection of the chrome BSA tank, "6.30" not a bad thing, just a bit funny is all :)
By the way, in watching all the workshop videos, And Dave explaining what's being done, I don't remember him explaining, or showing how the engine and gearboxes connect ? In other words, how the engine drives the gear boxes on the bikes that are not unit construction.
Probably assuming that is basic knowledge to all, but it is not, if you have never owned an older classic bike.
Maybe I missed it in one of the videos ?
Anyways, just wanted to point that out in case you may want to show how that connection between engine and gearbox is made ?
Really enjoy the videos, Great job by all !!! Thank You !!!

Interesting stuff as usual. Thanks Dave
I've got a pair of cutters that help you cut square, not as good as the ones you showed us, no ratchet, but they work pretty well, originally designed for push fit plumbing.

Those cutters are for PVC pipe used in electrical or plumbing/reticulation. I’ve also used them for big coaxial and power cables in Telco and Broadband.

HI Dave I have a problem with my tank which is beyond repair. Can you tell me where you managed to get a replacement tank from India. Many thanks

    Great stuff as usual!
In reference to the India Tanks and side panels. Although the quality appears good, I wonder in time how they will hold up to the rigors and vibrations of the road. Welds coming apart, metal stress and cracking? Paint finishes and chrome not holding up to the test of time. The future will tell us.
Bless you guys for all you do. 🌞🙏🏻🏍
