I am a practising social worker in adult social care. Over the past few years, I have kept a record of questions and answers for interviews. These have helped me to prepare for further interviews and secure roles in line with my interests.
I have decided to compile a series of videos as I want to help others to feel as confident as possible to get the job they want. I feel like social work interviews can be difficult but with preparation can feel a lot less overwhelming!
As a disclaimer, this video includes information gathered from my own interview experience and knowledge gained and should not be solely relied upon as I cannot say that this information would be what the panel would be looking for in other roles. However, I have thought carefully about the information included and hope people find this helpful as a part of their interview preparation. *I am representing myself not the organisation I work for.
I am a trained social worker and therefore have a working knowledge of the law as it applies to my area of practice in adult social care. However, please do not use the information I have shared without checking this alongside 1st hand sources. This would include looking at the Care Act 2014 which can be accessed via the following the link below. Also looking at the most up to date statutory guidance. I will put two additional sources which have helped me.
