- Hey guys today I'll be testing out Carpro Elixir.
I've tested this product out before against 4 other similar products and was really impressed by its slickness.
but the real test is always applying a product like this to an entire car especially a black one. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Thank you Jackson. 👍😁
This was a great video on these types of products.
My current 'go-to' is Mirch Ceramic Detailer.
Thanks Ian,
I'm actually yet to try the Mirch Ceramic detailer although I do have some here to get to eventually
I used Elixir too and it was a bear to buff off on a black car
Very humid afternoon didn’t help !
You are spot on!
Yeah definitely not ideal for dark cars, I think I'll use the rest of white paint
Nova Boost is my go to, use it every wash with no issues.
I haven't used boost v2 yet but I have some of the original here and found it very easy to use
I usually use Gyeon ceramic detailer nearly every wash as it’s so easy haha
Yeah I like the Gyeon Ceramic detailer more than the Carpro to be honest as it's far easier to apply
I usually apply sparingly on to a damp microfiber cloth & buff off with another cloth without any streaks. Got any chance try mafra's labocosmetics perfecta sio2 ceramic qd.
Ah ok I'll have to try a damn cloth next time but will probably just save elixir for lighter coloured cars as I have some other ceramic detailers I can use on darker cars that are less prone to streaking
That's when I started to just apply it to the microfiber then go across the paint than spraying it on the paint I learned that the hard way but good video
Haha yeah probably a much better way to do it
@@EvolvedDetails yes cause it's very streaking and use the 2 towel method
I've been using the meguiars hybrid ceramic detailer and don't really get smearing or streaking
The meguiars one is definitely up there and actually has great durability for a non full on sealant
Looks good but so much effort I'd rather use a touchless sealant for ease of use
Yeah I'd agree and that's what I usually go for as it's a far quicker way to do it
how would you clean your towels after
Wash them in a microfibre wash immediately is the best thing to do
in the same washing machine you use for your clothes?@@EvolvedDetails
Can it be used on PPF?
I'm not 100% sure but I would assume so
Can you layer Elixir on a spray wax?
You can but I'm not sure how well they would work together but worth a try
@@EvolvedDetails thank you 🙏
Having similar streaky issues 😭
Yeah it's definitely a product you need multiple towels and patience to use
I got terrible streaking with Elixir.
Yeah I did too and had to go back over with a third cloth.
Which for a quick detailer to need 3 clothes is a bit much imo
It does look bloody good though but I have similar products I prefer
I couldn’t get rid of the streaks unless I used a panel prep or washed the car. I threw it away after one use. 😢
@@EvolvedDetails what one do you recommend? for black car
@@kipdrordy6858pureshine turtle wax 😎 or butter wax not spray kind . Or black ice by turtle 🐢 trust me I know
I don’t know if you know this but theirs a product out that beats every product out there right now. And will crush carpro stuff you using. It’s called TITAN!
I've heard of them but haven't tried any products yet.
I don't really think any one brand makes the best of every product type so I think a mix of different brands is the best way to go.
What Titan products do you suggest I try?
@@EvolvedDetails Titan Coatings Ultra Spray Sealant I think he means. Never used it but am very tempted to 😯
Phoenix EOD Titan spray
