Even though Rachel and Joey's relationship was almost universally despised, Matt still managed to make Joey's feelings believable, especially in this scene.
I came here to comment just that, I really love Matt's acting in this scene!

I love this plot so much. How we know Joey is like immature and stuff but when he realized his feelings for Rachel is true, he became the most sweetest man for her.

This was my couple. Joey loved her when she was pregnant. When she had Emma. He was willing to be there and be with her, even knowing that she had another's man baby. The masses can scream and be loud all they want, this was my couple. The story I go back to. The one that steals my breath and stops my heart. Joey was vulnerable with her. In a way that we haven't seen and he was gentle and kind and loving. This was the real love story and I will forever love them.

Ross loved Rachel more than life, Joey NEVER loved her and it's clear how this ended, so it's your delusion. Joey NEVER really loved Rachel - it was the fascination phase that ended with both of them admitting they were always just friends when they couldn't even cross the line and have sex once, they also NEVER told each other they love each other. It was literally 4 kisses, lol 'amazing relationship'. It was never serious and Friends creators, who invented it all, said this in a recent interview after they filmed the reunion, you can google it. They said they knew from the start that Joey&Rachel was never a serious thing. Joey loved Kate the actress and later Alex - on the spin-off show. Joey said that Alex was the ONLY woman he EVER wanted to marry, ever. So it's clear he NEVER loved Rachel.

I think this was Matt's best acting scene as Joey. Literally his eyes conveyed Joey's feeling inside. And honestly, Rachel-Joey as a pair could've took off nicely from here once they started going for a date and Joey expresses his actual feelings. But, then they messed up everything with that Joey's ring in his hand at the hospital.
I still can’t believe in this show, they have scary movies from the real world. Imagine if they had the movie Scream. That would’ve blown their minds.

I think Matt LeBlanc is a seriously underrated actor, only a really good one could sell this character and make him so endearing rather than annoying *think about other lesser actors who played somewhat dopey characters and they were annoying and 2 dimensional*, when Joey is a little dim, and he portrayed Joey as so sweet and full of heart. This scene also shows just how good he is at showing Joey's many layers. Very good actor in my opinion. Plus with Matthew Perry they played off each so well. 🎉

Uh, were you not paying attention? It's shown in the movie. He has rabies. He was bitten by a bat and contracted rabies.
And yes, he does die at the end of the movie, but if anything that is a sad ending, because Cujo was a kind and friendly dog who was the victim of a disease. He wasn't in control of his own actions. He needed to be put down, but that's more of a tragedy than a relief.

Ross never loved Rachel. He loved Carol. He would’ve done anything for Carol. He had a huge crush on Rachel and the relationship didn’t work out because his fantasy of her didn’t match reality. I agree Joey didn’t love her either. He loved her as a friend. I think they grew really close when she moved in and it made him want a family like Chandler and Monica had and Rachel fell for Joey because he did all the things she wanted Ross to do.

I havent liked them together as a couple, when they kiss in season 9. But I really love this one sided romance part. Like before this joey had never really really loved a girl as such. But when they went out for dinner, and he fell in love with her, even though I think it wasn’t meant to e, that was the real joey for me. All the scenes before this scene are all the top layer superficial or the second layer joey. But this scene is raw joey.
There was the actress Kate Miller that he was falling for, but she ended up leaving for Los Angeles soon after. Had she stayed, I think he would have had a serious relationship with her. It was the first time we saw Joey longed for someone. It was more serious than any other relationships he had before.

He never described Rachel like this, and he couldn't have sex with Rachel even once, meanwhile, he described sex with Kate as an incredible experience and the first and only time when sex had a meaning for him and wasn't just a one-night stand.
The writers should have made Kate and Joey a stable couple for life, or just written someone similar to Kate for Joey, later on the show, instead of writing this Joey-Rachel mess that never went anywhere. Joey and Rachel was a waste of screentime that they could have invested in reuniting Ross and Rachel earlier - after Emma was born when it made the most sense! And Joey should have had someone like Kate, who he truly loved!

Joey and Rachel - the worst storyline this show has EVER done. Almost ruined the entire show, but The One when Ross is Fine saved it, David saved it with his hilarious performance in this episode. And thank god they hardly had any relationship anyway, just a couple of kisses here and there, and they never slept with each other once, never said I love you to each other, and ended up realizing they are just friends, as it should be. Good thing that both actors wanted it to end and hated it as well.

This is fake. People need to understand how deceptive women are. She is consciously doing all of these things to get closer to him under the guise of "im scared, sit here protect me," exaggerated refrain and grabbing joey under the blanket.

omg not this cringe, awful storyline again. Also, not one real friend would go after the mother of the child of another friend, especially in a tight group like this one, and Rachel was not only the love of Ross's life, so we knew they are gonna end up together one way or the other, but also the mother of his child. Clearly, Rachel never loved Joey in THAT way, and vice versa. It was just an infatuation, a phase because they started living together, but when it came down to it, it turned out that there was no lust, no love, only awkwardness, and disgust, especially on Rachel's part. You should upload the scene when both Joey and Rachel realized they are friends and always will be just friends, not lovers/romantic partners. Even Ross reconciled with this, being a bigger person, and so they tried to sleep with each other, and couldn't.

(And i am Absolutely Receptive and "Open" as to why.. ...this particular storyline within the show - sucked.. ...if anyone cares to explain..) Love is a Many Colored Thing; being Expressed in Myriad Ways.. All the Friends Had and Exemplified this happenstance and occurrence.. (at least at one time or another.). So do You and me. That's one of the Details and Characteristics that makes this show so Special.. .🧸
