I still hold that one of Joey's smartest moments was when he knew automatically that Chandler was lying about watching his advertisement video. He knew that Chandler would have a list of sarcastic/smart a** comments if he'd actually watched it. 😅

The social worker one was epic! 😂 Way to think on his feet
It’s good that they included a storyline of Chandler and Monica borrowing from Joey for a change. We all know that Joey leaned quite heavily on Chandler for financial assistance for some time, so it’s great to show him as the kind of person who remembers that and returns the favour.
Otherwise he’d just be a mooch and a user, and these people are not those kinds of people. For all their different flaws and occasional fights, all of them were loyal, proper good friends.

How about the scene where Joey pretended to be Ross when Ross thought he is about to lose Rachel to Mark? The whole speech by Joey is pretty spot on. Also, Joey is the first one who figured out the secret relationship between Chandler and Monica.

im from spain and the history of mont tibidabo in barcelona is amazing, genius... but the problem is the contamination of the entire mountain and the lake that Joey names, vallvidrera... it is not to take away magic, the magic is the series, and all its actors, and a memory for Mathew may he rest in peace... I tell this, because I don't want anyone to be disappointed if they get to that place. and see see dirt. But what they created with this series makes it worth visiting each place they name anyway... I was in Vermont many years ago, (they name it in the series, but I realized it much later) and I have my brother in New York , in queens, where joey is from, and a smile escapes me

A perfect example how how inteligence is a spectrum, and not just a linear scale. Sometimes he's completely clueless, sometimes some reasonable but fundamentally flawed logic leads him to a weird conclusion, and sometimes he just outsmarts a whole room. And the social worker scene also shows how he can become a successful actor!

I always wanted to hear the ending of the europe story.
In the episode where Monica and Chandler have their first getaway and it ends in a huge fight over a car chase on TV...there's an episode where Chandler tells Joey about seeing Trump in a glass elevator and he talks about the company that made it. That's probably my favorite Joey is smart scene.

If you watch the old DVDs w the producers commentary on it they said that because Joey was also getting ready to start on his own show he wanted people to start seeing him as smarter and fought the producers and refused to continue doing the very dumb down version of Joey in efforts for people to take him more serious for his new character in his new show but it just wasn’t the same and the stupidity was his best attribute. His show was a complete fail
I liked it. Joey always had heart and seeing him with his own family was special.
