I live in North Texas. I had this done to my two car garage and it cost me $2000 even. If you are spending five to $7000 on this, you are getting ripped off.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's great to hear that you got a good deal. Costs for polyurea garage floor coatings can vary widely based on several factors such as the size of the garage, the condition of the floor, the specific materials used, and the labor costs in different regions. North Texas might have different pricing dynamics compared to other areas. It's always a good idea for homeowners to get multiple quotes and understand what's included in the price to make sure they're getting the best value. Thanks again for your input!

I got a quote for a 22'x20' garage, brand new construction.
Quotes ranged from $5-7k in South Florida. That included moisture barrier base coat, and a polyaspartic top coat.

TY for sharing your experience with a polyurea coating in S. Florida. That falls similar to what it can cost in Texas with a High Quality Installer. A little higher than here, we like to average $9 - $12 per sqft, but seems to fall in the same area, and of course every region is different when it comes to cost. Please let us know if you have any questions on your upcoming project. TY for checking out the video!!

$9 ~ $12 per sqft? You might as well use porcelain, which is better in every way and last forever.

There you go! Porcelain is another great option for your flooring needs.

The moisture meter shown in the video is showing 4.2 at one point. I one one floor coating company tell me I needed epoxy instead of polyaspartic because mine was at 3.25. Is that true?
Also, will it last if wood steps are coated?

Thanks for checking out the video!!
That sounds a little off. If the moisture level is too high for a Polyurea coating, then you can have a moisture barrier applied to prepare the concrete for your coating. You shouldn't need to get a specific type of coating due to the moisture level.
Polyurea will not last on wood steps. When properly installed, your concrete should be ground down to open up the pores of the concrete for proper adhesion. So when it comes to wood that level of bonding is not available. There may be some deck restore products that can have a similar look that would be made to adhere to wood.
      Hope this helps.

I just spoke with my concrete coating leader and she said that any reading over a 5.5 is when we suggest a moisture barrier if after a week it doesn't dry out on it's own. She said that a 3.25 should be an ideal moisture level for either Epoxy of Polyurea.

It can be. There are a lot of factors that apply to cost, hopefully it is helpful to have an idea how much something may cost while in the planning stages so you can find the right project and product for you. TY for checking out the video!

0:44 Pricing math is incorrect. Based on an average $9 to $12 per square foot price, a 500 square-foot area would cost between $4,500 - $6,000. Still, very nice video. Appreciate your effort on this.

Pricing for a Polyurea floor can vary depending on factors like the area size, the condition of the existing surface, and any additional features or customizations. On average, you can expect a range of around $5 to $12 per square foot. However, I recommend reaching out to a local contractor or specialist for a precise estimate based on your specific project needs. Let me know if you need more details!
