- Pepé, my Peugeot 205 GTi was crashed into a couple of months ago, the other hit and run driver fled the scene without leaving details. Sean ended up buying it from me and has now fixed it up. I catch up with him to find out the rest of the story.
Fancy going all that way in your pyjamas.
Mate.. there is nothing more comfortable for a long journey. Wore these on a trip to SPA a few years ago!!
@@Number27 comfort wins every time.
😄😄🤣🤣 👍
Drove all the way to SPA in them a few years ago..
It's all fun and games till the missus rings and asks you to nip in the shop while you're out lol
"Officer, somebody hit and run on my pride of joy"...
"Sorry sir, we don't have the resources for that"...
"They weren't wearing a face covering"...
"Ah, ok sir, we'll have somebody round there in a flash".
Thats a car you will regret selling.
why?
@Mark Cairo I've got an 87 Polo
Regret selling my silver 1.9. Always had huge smile on my face when I was driving it.
@@JacobSmith-rd8hl Once you've driven a 205 GTI, nothing modern comes close to it. The way it handles, powers out of corners and the way you can place it exactly where you want on the road. It's almost like you think where you want to be and it's there. If you can get to drive one, you'll be hooked too 🙂👍
I kind regretted letting go front end smashed my 04 Fiesta 1.4, she is now at car heaven.
What a lovely bloke and great taste in motors. Dog cute too 😘. Nice to see Pepe looking Pampered, you both did well there 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it Ian!!
Sean, car looks great, could you just tweak the off side front fog light, being a bit boss eyed is doing my OCD a mischief.
lol...yes, I noticed that. Pepe looking fab again. Great video. Sean has some lovely cars.
The twisted seatbelt while driving Fredo was setting my OCD off!
@@downesy68. ha,ha...yes, I saw that too.
Peugeot 205 GTI not a classic? No words... Who are these fools?!
It's weird, there were a fair few that commented on the firs video.. thanks for watching Drew!
It’s been listed in the back of classic and sports car since 2000!
Probably vw fan boys that don’t appreciate the 205gti
Certainly is a classic now
@@lee2217 I had a golf gti mk2 in late 1980s, then got the 205 1.9gti. The 205 won hands down for performance and handling. The golf was well balanced and build was better but it was slow
Nice to see it fixed. The headlight and fog light look a bit pissed, that would drive me mad
The 205 looks amazing and ended up with a great owner! Love that dog!
Peole who say its not a classic, sure maybe not in years its more retro but in terms of impact to the motoring industry its a solid classic and perhaps the greatest hatchback and certainly one of the most significant innovators in the fast hatchback category.
What a great guy same age as me! The XK's my favourite, when I was 17 in 1990 my late Grandads 1968 Jaguar XJ6 2.8 manual was sold for £750! Wish I had it now as that's what made me a petrolhead!
Lovely Jubbly, two nice men with a very nice taste in cars.
Cheers Paul!!
What a pair of absolute gentlemen. Lovely to see all of Shawn/Sean/Shaun's (seriously, how many spellings of one name do we need?) cars and to hear the history behind them, and to meet Rocco, of course.
I'm quite new to your channel, but was pulled in by the 308 story, and then of course, Pepé.
Personally I think you should have replaced Pepé with an...MG ZS! But a real one, not the modern Chinese boxes.
Thanks really enjoyed this upload, nice to see a diferent format. This chap has some very interesting cars, lucky man.
Thank you buddy!!
I have a Noble M12 GTO and once you drive one you will want one be warned. It will eat away at you to own one once driven. They are fantastic cars that have slipped under most peoples radar.
Dads with Jags....had to sell my late dads XK coupe...not used enough and costing money and no where to keep it near my home in central London..definately a head over heart moment..so understand entirely the choice.
Wow.. and XK? That must have hurt..
Same with me, dad had an XJ8 LWB. Had it from almost new.
Polished it to death!!!
For me, too big, nowhere to store and to be blunt a money pit.
The real family thing was his cherished number plate. Been on all his cars since the 80’s.
Years ago one of his neighbors asked ‘hey Al, home come all your cars have the same registration number’....my dad was a polite man.
Reg now on my classic and WILL remain with the family.
Great film Jack. And hi to Rocko
Well done guys, great cars and good explaining of the Peugeot repair, thanks for this.
The GTI looks superb! I would still be on the lookout for another indicator, as I'm sure the owner is. Thanks for uploading an update on this wonderful little car. Love the M12 as well, have great memories of driving one of these.
Yes.. dream car that Noble!!
That was a great update and what a guy you sold it to. Must be nice to know it’s with someone who will appreciate it.
Those Noble’s are bad ass too.
Definitely! Thanks for watching!
I'm so jealous, mainly of his garage space.
I'll always have a soft spot for those Nobles, I remember being invited onto the Noble stand at the NEC, really nice blokes who worked for them.
Also an amazing amount of space in such a small car.
I wasn't expecting that! The sound of that Alfa! If someone backed in to my classic Alfa, and they were male, I would take a medieval approach to precious parts of his anatomy. I love the Peugeot as well. Even the basic 205 was a design icon, but the 1.9 GTi took that to a whole new level. Another great sounding car, and arguably the ultimate hot hatch 😃
The Alfa does sound amazing!!
WoW that Noble is quite a thing. Love the stable too
Your friend has done a nice job on 'Pepe " , good to see the little car has gone to a good home. Obviously a true " petrolhead" ,by his collection of other cars. If I may be permitted to express a preference, I was enthused by his Mk1 Mini Cooper. Love BMC Minis , takes me back to my own when I was 18 yrs old., So still have affections there despite being bias towards Italian cars, and the gent obviously feel the same as he bought the very same car back. Great family stories behind his cars.
That MK1 is AMAZING!! Thanks for watching Martin!
People who say its not a classic well... anyway in my opinion its one of the top 3 90s classics with the escort RS turbo and R5 GT Turbo, yes the golf also and so on.
Its an 80s classic by the 90s it was old hat
He made a lovely job of that - glad to see the 205 fixed and saved!
Thank you Paul!!
Its great to see peoe still kicking around :)
Fantastic to see Pepe back in great shape with another car enthusiast. Looking forward to seeing Rocco and a Noble on the channel next summer.
Yep!! Would be awesome.. to be honest more excited about Rocco than the Noble!
@@Number27 😂😂😂
What a nice guy and "pepe" was very well repaired. I made the mistake of trying to take off one of these wings when they first came out. They are bolted but ! The whole underside is completely filled with very strong sealer and by the time l got the wing off it was wrecked ! My daughter had the identical car in the nineties but it had the Mi 16 motor(?) with twin
webbers. It was very quick but the gearbox and driveshafts struggled to cope. Thanks . That Alfa is sweet and rare.
Yep that’s right.. bolted and bonded!!! Thanks for watching John!!
Great video - Just posted on your previous video asking for an update on somebody smashed the Pug - I should have watched this fist, glad you got the insurance payout and glad it found a great new owner. The Alfa sounds interesting I need to look at this next :)
It’s shame you had to let Pepe go but he has gone to a great loving home... he looks beautiful again!👍
mate...you still running those ancient tyres on the Alfa.....the pain....love ur channel
It's getting a bit ridiculous, isn't it? Like putting the 20mm spacers back on even touches the handling when you've got tyres like that!
No tyres were changes some time ago.. soon after spacers. Sadly they have not had much impact on handling.. update video out soon!
@@Number27 ah, gutted. I really hoped that'd be the root - nothing's ever that simple.
Great to see Pepe all fixed. That Noble looked awesome as well ! Another great video keep it up !!
Thank you Phil, enjoy your Sunday!!
Superb to see Pepe back to former glory and on the road again.
Glad Pepe got fixed, it's looking mint!
Definitely going to be pampered.....
Thanks for the update. 😎👍
Impressive work by the panel worker, cheers for him 🍺
Such a happy ending for pepe! Really glad to see this. What a car!!
Oh the utterly gorgeous Pepé 💕 my heart was broken on the day it drove away from your channel.
I almost unsubscribed and left too but then I reminded myself that I came here with the Influenzo and Pepé had just been an added bonus to the channel.
I'm not particularly interested in the 147 although I've not fast forwarded any of your content so far as I enjoy hearing you chattering about everything. I love your JimJams too 🥳
Just love your new "Rocco" channel.
I have a huge soft spot for dogs too.
Yep.. totally got me!!
Love your Alfa dude, it’s engine sounds like my E46 M3...
Great repair for £860!! Mates rates or not, nice job.
Awesome. Noble at one stage were built in South Africa by Hitec Automotive, the builders of Superformance Cobras and GT40s
Yea !! The GTI is back !! ❤
Great collection. I heartily approve of the Mini of course.
Uuhhh
I love those plaid pants. Very nice!
This beautiful blue paintwork of Pepe is very seldom. => „HOLD“. Often seen that car in black, white or red.
Thank God Pepe has got a new best place surviving this horrible crash and is fixed now. Love those oem wheels, too.
Greets from AT,
CK
Thanks Claus! Where is AT?
@@Number27 Austria
Nothing better than a quality wooden garage including floor for keeping classic bikes and vehicles in ,warm, dry, with near perfect humidity levels .
Glad you approve Gerald!!
With that quote, its quite obvious he knew the right people and the right connections to get it sorted, and if he had to sort new parts, it probably would have cost 3 grand to get it done right, like you definitely sold it to the right person, and that's funny with that handbrake, i would have thought it was the opposite with how that ended up, that having the handbrake off would have made it worse.
although on the plus side, now you've got a red car that wont blend in like that one did.
He did nice job ! I'm certified Peugeot technician work many years on Peugeot New Car Dealer I'll remember the 205 they great vehicle . My preferred is 1.6 or 1.9 GTI or " Roland Garros edition.🏁👍
Garage is unreal! Life goals right there!😂
Done a lovely job sorting that. They are perfect in blue 👌
Great to see Pepe all sorted, and I absolutely love Rocco.❤️
Thanks.. got to love Rocco!!!
The mans done well with the pug....but the Noble, now that's what I call a super car that's going to keep going up in value. The mini is also a car that'll keep going up so all in , including the Pug and the Jaaaaag, he's got a dream garage going on there.
I'd like to see your Alfa some more though as with a few tweeks it could be an amazing car.
New video on alfa uploaded today!!
@@Number27 yeah, I just watched it 👍 your Alfa (Fredo) sounds beautiful, I'm really tempted to hunt one down for myself but theres not many in my neck of the woods so I'll maybe have to look further afield for one.
Great to see the 205 sorted. Sean has good taste in cars. I have a mk1 Cooper, same year/colour etc.
you were lucky you got some one to buy your crunched up car, you made a hit with the dog but it looked at its owner to make sure it was allowed to be fussed by you, I loved your video, thankyou.
Thanks for watching John!!!!
That is a classic car end of. I hit an electrical sub station at 110 mph in 205 gti ( passenger in back) . Also survived. Which was nice
the 205 gti has got a lovely new home! nice and warm so happy 4 the pug! 100%☆🙄
Glad the pug ended up so nice 👍🏾. Shame about the pyjama bottoms tho 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Great to see it fixed and go to a good hone
I like the XKR! Good colour combo and a rag top. Perfect summer motoring.
On Curaçao they believe when you drive an car long enough, your soul gets attached to it. This vid reminded me of that story
Interesting... thanks for watching buddy!!
Glad to see the 205 repaired and with a new owner that really cares about his cars. All's well that ends well. I just don't feel the same love for that GTA. If you could take the engine out and put it in a car with a decent chassis and suspension then you would be in business. Not sure about the PJ look.
The 147 actually handles well it’s just currently the ride is a bit pants!!
Great video, dog stole the show! Lovely to see Pepe back to former glory.
Yep!! Love Rocco!!
It's definitely a classic car. There will always be ****s in this world (e.g. the hit-and-run guy) - they won't get anywhere in their lives as they're just losers who can't own up to their own actions. I understand the pleasure in seeing a classic back on the road, even it's not in your hands. I won't let go - I repaired my old GPZ with my insurance payout. All the best
Wow, love old bikes!! Had a Ducati 748 around 15 years ago.. GPZ is a true classic. Enjoy it !!
I have seen a Nobel m12 driving daily near me since 2005. 15 years. Sounds awesome looks awesome.
Fab cars!! Thanks for watching !
@@Number27 I have a V6 GTV which is awesome
He did right to keep the original wing. Pattern parts are inferior metal and in my experience with a Mk1 Golf, no matter how well you paint or treat them they seem to rust from within worse than the ancient original ones. And that's if you get them to align nicely without noticeably big panel gaps.
Thank God it has been saved glad to see the new owner has taken care of it well.
Brave man rocking up in PJ bottoms.
Jack, love this mate, and Rocco!
Jack says “I’ll be back with my Ferrari 308 - can I borrow your lift?” 😂😂😂
Great idea!!!
Where did he get a front bumper from for £30!?
This is wales!
@@gavinthomas7375 Sooooo, can anyone find me a Phase 1 glovebox trim and/or front bumper for less than £500?
@@420meezle if your serious I could have a look?
@@gavinthomas7375 for sure man! On FB I've got the same name as here so you could message me there. Unless the bumper's a cracking price I'm probably OK, although real ph1 bumpers are hard to find. Ph1 glovebox surround I super need though
Lovely to see Pepe... and of course one of Leicesters greatest exports, a Noble!
Along with Kasabian!
I had a beautiful 2002 4.0 ltr XKR soft top. Red with black upholstery. Absolutely beautiful, adaptive suspension, 380 bhp so yes a stunning GT not something that feels like it was driving on square wheels and such tremendous value. One of Jaguar's great underrated cars.
Totally agree.. thanks Brian!!
Rocco is a cool dog. Noce work in Pepe, is good to see him back to the road. The Noble is such a cool car, hard to imagine it has a Ford Mondeo engine :)
Yep.. then again my Lotus Evora had a Toyota in it and you really would not be able to tell!!
Nothing more amazing than the 205 GTI. L O V E that car.
One the greatest cars ever produced, the 1.6 was awesome but the 1.9 was from a different planet
The little 205 gti is a retro classic hot hatch! Luvpugs!
Really nice bloke and a good job - OK not perfect, be very good and reflects the age of the car, great video
Thanks 👍
Great content and a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Good to see Pepe back to its best, the other great cars and your new love affair.
Thanks Darren!!
All four lights on the front seem to need some tweaking to fit better, especially the left headlight. Otherwise nice fix!
I may very well understand Sean, getting his youngster dream car. Oh, if I could put my hands on mine : my lovely 1972 Datsun 510 coupé.
I actually owned one in 1974, mint, Apple Green , with Minilites wheels I added, Pirellis (rare at the times). I had to sell it after only 9 months to go to college.
The good ones now are ridiculously expensive... Oh well.
That’s a cool and rare little car!! Thanks for watching Marc!
Jack for the love of god drive any Noble haha thanks for the vid' in Covid lockdown :))
Love the sound of the V6 Alfa. Miss my 205
Cool collection 😎❤️
what a lovely bloke Shaun is and great car collection too
Looks really nice. But the headlights and foglights look wonky
Looks great! Any chance of getting the bodyshop details? I need some work doing on my Miami blue 1.9 too!
I quoted the parts for £300 ish excluding labour. That was including a front wing. So he has paid £800 for labour and a panel spray/beat.
Brilliant follow up video - I think Rocco should be your Mascot (or one like him)!
So pleased Pepe lives on 👍🏻
Great video 👍 Ticking all the box’s, good people, nice cars and a fantastic dog 🐶😉
Love Rocco!!! ❤️
Good decision Jack. Just goes to show, sometimes it’s as important that the car chooses the buyer as the buyer chooses the car. Winners all round 👍🏻
Thanks Ben.. enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
Loved my 205 GTI wish I never sold it.
anyone else triggered by the twisted seatbelt ?
Sean seems like a really nice bloke, glad the car went somewhere it will be appreciated
I hated that too!!
Always had a very soft spot for noble cars ,theirs just something about them , unfortunately they like everything else have all gone up in value , so will have to wait a little longer before I can have one. M600 is a bit of a dream car of mine.
Yep!! The M12s were around £15k at one point!
@@Number27 I remember seeing a accident repaired one with head gasket problems for £8000, but I had a lancia delta Intergrale at the time, and no way could I afford both, sold the lancia for £12000 not long after haha ,what's that worth now ?. Been buying and selling cars since the late 80s, and luckily enough I've had most cars at one time or another, not always the best examples but always priced accordingly, in fact some just out and out bad condition, but happy to have owned them , for instance a Porsche 911 , brush painted haha ,but drove well £2700 at a public auction ,nobody else wanted the poor thing, a Sierra cosworth 3 door on dutch plates very tatty but also ran well £2500, happy times, anyway love the channel keep it up.
How lush is Rocko😍! Pepe is looking good to! Should of kept Pepe Jack! And made a run for it with Rocko!😉🤣
I was tempted!! Very...
@@Number27 ha ha! Another cracking video Jack 😉
Now this should please you Number 27. Around 2:30 with that grunty engine sound and the rasping exhaust I found myself thinking "Hhhmmm that sounds ALMOST as good as the Ferrari." That I hope tells you what a good job you've done on the Ferrari exhaust. The Alfa does sound good but the Ferarri has the edge. I'm sure its the V8 under it.
Interesting.. have to say that I think the Alfa sounds better.. but once the Ferrari motor is properly set up it will change tone.. so let’s see!!
If the 205 GTI isn't a classic, there are no classics. Like the Quattro, Integrale and E34 M5, it was a legend when it was brand new.
Yes I agree! Thanks for watching Willie!
So much want for a 147 GTA. Love it
Like it more every day!!
Very good presentation nice chap who purchased the 205 and what a charming dog.
Content very good looking forward to seeing the Alfa again.😎👍
Thank you Michael.. taking it to get tracking done today so will do a quick vid on that..
Great video, the pug has gone to a good home. Love the Noble 👌🏼
Thanks fella!! Have a good weekend!!
Not a classic car eh! I'll refer those with any doubts to a certain Gentleman called Harry Metcalf!
He did a review a few months ago
on the 1.9Gti and thinks this is definetly a classic and I think he has enough experience to know what he is talking about!
Yes I agree!! Thanks for watching Gerry!!
What a great car collection, I love the Noble.
